Ich bin 22 Jahre habe nie studiert oder eine Matura gemacht und stehe dafür trotzdem ganz gut um Leben.

Dadurch hat sich aber auch mein Freundeskreis weitestgehend angepasst. Ich hab keine Freunde die um die 22 sind sonder eher um die 30 ~ 35. Es fällt auch nicht auf das ich 22 bin, vielleicht liegt es an den grauen Haaren aber manchmal denke ich mir ich verpasse vielleicht irgendwas. Frauen die ich dementsprechend anspreche sagen mir ich bin zu jung. Nanonanet. Aber wie seht ihr das. Was habt ihr mit 22 gemacht, ich will nicht in 8 Jahren draufkommen das ich die Zeit vielleicht anders hätte nützen sollen. Danke

I have a friend of mine who lives in Taiwan, who goes on the Taiwanese subreddit. Most people there write in Traditional Chinese using Taiwanese Mandarin grammar and vocabulary. Regardless, the issue arises from posts (perhaps written by foreigners or expats living in Taiwan who don't speak the language.) that have been put via a translator consisting of 'Mainland Mandarin' wording and grammar rather than 'Taiwanese Mandarin' wording and grammar.

They both use Hanzi, as China uses Simplified Chinese while Taiwan uses Traditional Chinese. So, that is how they know it has been translated from English into Chinese because most of the vocabulary is derived from Mainland Mandarin rather than Taiwanese Mandarin as Taiwan does not use these words, take the word: "Printer" - In China, they call it: 打印機 while in Taiwan, they say: 印表機 - as you can see, the wordings are different. (All translators use Mainland Mandarin vocabulary by default since China has a larger demographic of Chinese speakers in comparison to Taiwan, but that does not excuse them pretending to be Taiwanese.)

Some machine-translated posts straight up use simplified (hanzi) with Mainland vocabulary while actual natives use traditional (hanzi) which is also a dead giveaway that there is zero effort on actually using Taiwanese Mandarin. I have a story to share, I posted on their subreddit in Taiwanese Mandarin, but one of the replies uses simplifed Chinese (it is obvious that they are from China, during that time I was talking about food and cooking, but that comment contained the word 做飯 - which is used in Mainland Mandarin, in Taiwanese Mandarin they say: 煮飯 for the verb "to cook", that is how I knew they are not from Taiwan.)

In hindsight:

• From this subreddit alone, have you seen posts that are clearly being put via a translator since the wordings are "German German" rather than Austrian German?
• Since most translators including DeepL ALWAYS use "German German" wordings by default, does it make clear that the writer does not know Austrian German?
• Even if they use Chat GPT to translate in Austrian German, are grammatical errors still noticable by native Austrian German speakers?

My girlfriend and I are considering our options for moving, and Austria is one of the countries we're considering. She is originally from Czech Republic and works as a front-end web developer, and I am from the Netherlands and have worked as a data analyst/BI consultant for the last 4 years.

With a budget of €1500 a month, we're looking at options in Innsbruck or Salzburg. Is this realistic? Are there other regions to consider?

I also wonder how job potential is for a role in data (analytics or engineering) or MLOps. In my country we extensively use LinkedIn or Glassdoor for vacancies, but if I look it up in Austria, I barely get any hits in this field. Does anyone have experience with this? Where would you recommend to look for such positions? Is it even in high demand in Austria?

Hallo, Saniere aktuell mein Eigenheim und will eine Wärmepumpe einbauen. Angedacht ist eine Stebel Eltron aber das ist nebensächlich. Es gibt ja die Förderung raus aus Öl und Gas, hatte bisher aber eine dezentrale Elektrodirekt Heizung (in jedem Raum E-Heizkörper aus 1978). Weiß jemand ob dies auch gefördert wird bzw. ich habe eine Hausbetreuungsfirma außerhalb von Wien und habe eigentlich die Hoffnung eine Hausverwaltungsfirma als fixen Partner zu finden.

Ich hab die Firma seit einem Jahr und nur eine Anlage in der fixen Betreuung und das auch nur weil die Mieter selbst auf uns zugekommen sind weil sie mit der Hausverwaltungsfirma nicht zufrieden waren.

Generell hab ich die Erfahrung gemacht das Hausverwaltungen ziemlich arrogant sind, ignorant und keine Liebe in ihrer Arbeit haben, fast so wie der AliExpress Support wo alles nur kopierte Texte sind.

Meine Frage wäre; wie kommt man mit guten Hausverwaltungen in Kontakt (Email, Flyer, ... hat nicht funktioniert).
