Has anyone been able to find coils for SMOK mods? I can't get them shipped from NZ or overseas and I'm not sure if pharmacies have them.
I’ve ‘dabbled’ in cigarettes over the years but my main vice has always been vapes, specifically disposable ones. I recently picked up a Tobacco Alibarbar, and as someone who mainly uses iget products the flavours from most alibarbars come off far too strong, but I’ve found their tobacco to be rather mild.
The best way to describe the taste profile is it tastes identical to the Dare Espresso milk. It tastes sort of caramelised and while id definitely call it an “acquired” taste it isn’t as intense as real cigarettes, however oddly it leaves a feeling in my throat and mouth reminiscent of a cigarette that I don’t get from any other alibarbars.
What do you think, reddit?
I've been vaping RELX for a good 4 years now (buying from relxnow.com.au, pretty much braindead process of popping your pod, then inhale), but I can no longer justify the cost ($11 a pop that I finish in 2-3 days). So I'm looking into dipping my toes back to using refillables (used a couple of geekvape box mods during the golden age of vaping).
I have just finished registering to Pharmacy World (sent them my ID and all), how long does their approval process take? What's a good mod that's still MTL, and any juice suggestions that has a good nicotine hit that's available on Pharmacy World? And what are suggestions & tips to spiking the juice if I want to have higher nicotine concentration?
I've been vaping for a few years, but never fully committed to ditching the cigs. But I want to, and therefore have been researching.
Prior to getting an Xros 4 mini, I've only had/used 2 Veco One Pluses (5mg FB/60ml, .3 ohm coil). From the first draw, I hit that thing like it had a cone attached to it. Didn't know WTF I was doing then, and I'm kinda lost now, though not as green.
To fully stop with the stinkers, I'm looking for a simple refillable pod device with large capacity, so naturally the Eco One nano caught my eye. But it seems to be considered strictly MTL, yeah? Any advice?
One day I'll evolve & get techy with mods & such, but the budget is pretty tight at the moment. A future not buying cigs will definitely help.
Thanks in advance, cloudy folks!
The pharmacies only sell tobacco and mint flavours. Are any of them actually any good and worth the $30?
hey, i’ve got the VAPO alpha 2 pen and i know it’s a MTL device which means it would work well with salts.. but is using a nic freebase juice gonna be bad/do harm to the pen? will it taste better? ta
Just watched this recent doco. Reminded me of where I was 12 months ago after falling off the wagon of 12 years as a non smoker, after 25 years of smoking. I learnt so much so quickly from my local vape shop, from my one and only ever dispo, to a pod device, then a mod in a month. I'm really grateful that I managed to briefly experience a proper vape store, with experienced, knowledgeable, helpful staff, and build a friendly relationship with them.
Jump to 12 months later now, there's not a single pharmacy in my regional city that will supply legal vape gear and liquids. Our one and only vape shop is gone. Just BM tobacco shops selling dispos. Smokers no longer have the option I had 12 months ago to visit, learn about, and purchase vaping hardware and liquids from a local shop, and be able to quit smoking immediately by switching to vaping.
The only local option that smokers have here now are illegal, overpriced dispos. Or cheap BM tobacco, and quite likely, an earlier death. Vape stores, like the one in this documentary, and the ones we used to have here were a godsend to older smokers like myself, a local health service that were able to show us the way to becoming non-smokers for the rest of our longer lives.
With illegal products just as easy to get now as they were 12 months ago, do you think the government is using the pharmacy system to soften the blow of not regulating when vaping products started to emerge in the mainstream? I wonder if we will see some changes put through to make them accessible at regular retailers as the current pharmacy model is hated unanimously by consumers and pharmacists.
Hi friends
Is there a legit or non legit supplier for puk pod batteries within the country?
I did a search on the sub but I could only find info from before recent changes in law.
I mainly make my own unflavoured, but occasionally I like to try out some premix, I haven't tried the Uwell or Vapo yet, looking for a mint flavour that s better than the Chosen version which is ok IMO .. thaks in advance
That's all, don't waste your cash lol
Edit: sorry the title should say UK
Comments made from 6:30 onwards are indicative of how far the government and health services are in the pockets of the tobaccos industry.
I had my nano in my bag today but my perfume leaked. I changed the pod but I can still taste the perfume, is there a way to clean out the perfume taste or is it always going to taste like it?
Dear all,
Just letting you know that I have retired (finally).
Please read my "retirement" blog from 2023, which is just as relevant today https://colinmendelsohn.com.au/farewell/
My website will remain online, including the #vaping FAQs which I hope will still be useful https://colinmendelsohn.com.au/vaping
Hey brains trust,
I just got diagnosed with the ol' diabetus at only age 29 and my health team and I have come to the conclusion that the high levels of nic in the disposable iget bars is the main culprit aside from obvious other factors like genetics and poor diet, yadda yadda
Thing is I also have to quit sugar AND carbs AS WELL AS nicotine all at once and the food/schnack noise this last week with nic cravings has got me going absolutely feral. So I thought maybe just going nic free vapes might be the best alternative to try and salvage what's remaining of my sanity?
I've looked into making my own juice and right now in my current mental state I don't think I have the patience or the effort to put towards that. So TL:DR does anyone know of any way to get a hold of nic free vapes in Melbourne just to help a girl out short term until she gets over the worst of her sugar cravings? I've looked on pharmacy online but I don't like mint, I never got into tobacco and flavourless is a bit pointless rn. Happy for you to DM as I know not the most upstanding citizen question I could be asking....
Thanks SO much, any leads welcome!!! Xx
Anyone in the Cairns area know where to get juice that isn't installed in prefilled pods? You can DM me if not wanting to post publicly? I don't need nic, just freebase of any flavour.
Chemists are apparently stocking some tobacco, mint and unflavoured stuff but does anyone know where? I'm not needing an online supplier, i have one, I'm looking locally, in Cairns or surrounds.
I'm waiting on an order from online but until then... I'm desperate. I do not want to go back to the cigs.
I'm wanting to quit smoking and wanna get myself a vape to help with that, so preferably low nicotine or none at all Where's the best place to buy online? Keep in mind, I know practically nothing about vaping
Hi Guys
I'm from the UK and recently moved to Australia, and was suprised at your draconian vape laws. I ran out of my vape supplies i brought with me so have been suffering with the Gold Alibabas disposables, which have an ungodly amount of nicotine in them.
Anyway, I registered an account on Pharmacy World and was pleased to see a good selection of Vaporesso products, however, the liquids are completely bleak and uninspiring. Has anyone tried any of the liquids from there, and if so, are there any that taste reasonably okay? Or can anyone recommend anywhere that sells nice flavoured liquids?
Cheers
Hey guys, I’m down to my last pod after stockpiling in January, just wondering if any of the pharmacies that stock hardware carry the above mentioned pods? Would be good if I could get a new device as well, as I’ve been using this one for 14 months and it’s been rock solid. I’d rather not sign up to a bunch of sites to find they don’t supply, so wondering if anyone’s made a list of what each pharmacy stock? I’ve searched but can’t find any posts with device listings for each pharmacy. If anyone could help here I’d greatly appreciate it. Alternatively if someone could recommend a similar device that is rock solid and the pods bring out the flavour well I’d be keen to try. Thanks for listening and thanks in advance for any replies.
I switched to vaping to quit smoking. I started on the Nicovape Q2 which was good, killed the cravings completely, tastes and smells good, can charge easily and hold a charge, the vibration/haptic feedback on use feels good, autodraw capability with no lock, I love the preloaded "plug-and-play" cartridges, very little vape cloud, and the NFC capability to check the liquid remaining and battery remaining with your phone. I've successfully gone from the 50mg/ml to the 20mg/ml with no issues over the course of the last 4 weeks.
However it doesn't go under 20mg/ml so my pharmacist gave me a Lula vape with 12mg/ml refillable liquid.
This shit tastes fucking awful, my lungs hurt and I'm coughing again, refilling is a pain, I can't tell when I'm running out of liquid or battery, have to click the button 5 times to turn the stupid child lock off to vape, can't tell if anything is coming ouat until the godawful burnt taste and itchy lungs hits, massive vape clouds, and it doesn't help my cravings at all. It's actually making me more tempted to smoke again bc I hate it so much.
But it's the only way to decrease the strength of nicotine to help me quit?
Help, PLEASE, or I'm probably just gonna stay vaping forever to not have to switch off the Nicovape Q which isn't ideal since I do want to quit and I'm not mentally strong enough to wean myself or go cold turkey which is why I've been vaping as much as I want while decreasing the nicotine each pack.
New regulations for pharmacy vape sales: a missed opportunity
You have to love the effort he puts in.
Inside electronics and stuff? Or stays as particles or something?
Thanks!
I'm about to run out of my last fruity flavour that I bought pre-ban, which is pretty depressing, and I'm probably going to run out juice before whichever one I decide to buy, even get's here.
I've been trying to look up reviews, but I can't find anything, not even on the NZ sites, because for some reason the Vapure juices have different names. I've also tried The Chosen Mint, and I hate it with a burning passion; it makes my vape taste burnt and it gives me heartburn. I've also tried The Chose Tobacco, and it's way too sweet, and it also gives me heartburn.
So which one out of Sweet mint and menthol ice is better? Is the sweet mint actually sweet? Not sure if it makes a difference to taste, but I'm gonna buy freebase.
I have been looking to DIY, but I just need something to tide me over until I can get all the DIY supplies.
If you haven't already seen or realised podlyfe is blocked under the telecommunications act 1977 now and i cant access accounts , I found out today been off the internet for about a week and could access the site prior to my absence
When would I use a 1 ohm coil and at what watt and voltage, ill fiddle with the curves to find what's best and will be making my own flavours which I haven't done in about 3 years which will be good
So looking at the Pharmacist Award it seems pharmacists are only paid $974.80-1,499.60 p/w or $25.65-39.46p/h
I mean, it's ok money, but not great.
Makes me wonder, given all these changes, and the "size and scale" of the Vape Industry, being a US$361,000,000 industry in Australia, and projected to grow to US$436,000,000 by 2029, why didn't many vape stores just price out Pharmacies and take on Pharmacists to meet the legislated requirements?
I mean, my local pharmacy has said that they won't be stocking them, as they are a corporate chain, and it's a decision by head office, but the pharmacists there have no moral outrage against it.
I was having a vape around the side of the shopping centre with one of the managers one day and just having a chat.
Part of this he said is cos he knows people doctor shop, get opiates, or other substances of abuse, and although he'll contact the doctor and say "Hey, this person just filled a 3 month prescription 6 weeks ago" they'll come up with some excuse like "Well pain is subjective, the patient says the dose isn't managing the pain, so I've increased it"
He's like "Meanwhile, this junkie is cracking the shits cos you're taking too long to fill the prescription"
As far as he cares, Vaping is irrelevant to actual health problems in the community. His theory is that other substances are abused by key voters, so the government isn't gonna crack down and anger their voting bloc.
So obviously, if some pharmacists don't care, surely there'd be some that would jump ship to a new career?
‘Dumb policy with obvious results’: Government vape crackdown slammed
Sounds about the same as what I did. Enough for around 10 years if the stuff doesn'nt go off. I'm beginning to wonder if this is the way we are headed.
I also see that new tobacco laws are coming in next year - no flavoured smokes (including menthol) or cigars. How many will that impact?
I hate this government - but for so much more than the vaping laws they passed.
I stocked up as much as I could before the ban, bought plenty of replacement coils, a few bottles of juice and even a couple of spare devices!
I’m finally on my last bottle of eliquid and only have a few coils left for my Caliburn G2
I am looking at mixing my own DIY juice which I have done in the past, but was wondering if there are any online pharmacists that stock refillable pod devices and pure salt nic liquid 100mg/ml?
I’ve found the flavors and pg/vg but won’t be useful without some nicotine and a vape to put them in!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
