Drifting

Hi, will there be some drift cars and tracks on the new assetto corsa evo? Been looking but couldn't find much information about it. Or will it be similar to ac competizione? I'm really looking forward to the game but drifting is my priority and the reason i started playing ac.

100 cars in V1 ACE!

Around 50 cars unveiled, 20 of them will be available in EA Ph. I (1/16). 50 more to be presented. What car(s)’d you want to see in ACE? Personally, a BMW M3 E36 GT ‘d fit nicely.

How good do you think VR optimization will be?

I been doing 500 hours of VR racing split about 50/50 in AC/ACC and i love it. I heard AMS2 is good in VR so I gave it a try and indeed it is extremely well optimized and looks great, especially compared to ACC. Sadly the VR support was the only thing it did better then Assetto, so I'll stick with good old AC. After seeing how good VR can run in a game that's made with good VR support i got even more excited for EVO that's supposed to have VR in mind during development. Do you think we will get as good VR in EVO as it is in AMS?

Exhaust sound tuning

I would love to be able to tune your exhaust sound in a workshop at the Eifel. You could install a custom downpipe/exhaust and then add different qualities, like pops, bangs, crackels, change the default tone to more craspy etc.

Audi RS6 in ACE?

According to Traxion.gg, Audi RS6 will be in ACE. Can someone else confirm with possibly an image or a video? Besides, Mercedes GT63 AMG will also be presented, which I’ve never heard or seen of.

Walk around functionality

So we know there will be other activities like car dealerships, restaurants and so on. But do you think it will be possible to walk around like in TDU? I can imagine having a car meeting on the open world map and walking through the cars, wouldn't that be cool?

Exactly 30 days left!!! Thoughts?

Yes, only 30 days separate us from this future masterpiece of sim racing goodness. I'd like to know your thoughts especially after the video that misha put out about the open world freeroam. I'm personally excited for the freeroam as well as the racing part of EVO.

Kunos Can we get a Track Builder?

Assetto Corsa is a game that stands tall and mighty in the chambers of Game Modding. Right now i dont know if there is any information about Modding yet. that being said I one totally cool feature would be the abilty to make our own Race Tracks rather than figure out how to make tracks and import it within the game. or hope that a modder somwhere makes the track you wish for.

Either pick a real race track from in game and edit it.

or

Build your own race track from scratch.

Create your terrain set the altitude wind and sun direction along with frequent weather patterns.

Build your track track by laying it on the terrain or by slicing up the terrain.

Adjustable Width of the track

Angle of the Track

Barriers or Gravel traps or grass or Tire walls or (the scariest of them all) a concrete walls.

Pit Lane

Track Lights

Trees

Race Stands

buildings

all of this can be Spline Based so editing and modification can be easy and simple to modify.

after a track is built. run a computer simulation process where Ai car will run on the track and create an Ai model for what can be the best line possible in a particular car and what mistakes and race lines can be used by the ai while racing.

also a cool feature to add on this can be the abilty to add track details. The best part of Assetto Corsa Competizione is the slight bumps and dips in the tracks i think its call track resolution i can be wrong so dont quote me on that. so the abilty to manually go and add that would add alot of character to the track. this Track Resolution can also help in wet weather as the water pools in certain dips on the track and creates big slippery streams in other slow turn sections with low grip.

i guess there could also be a cool time based system wherein the track gets laid down with alot of rubber making it nice and grippy or very sliperry or washed of and more rough leading to heavy graining in the tyres.

another cool feature could be to get period based buildings and barriers so you could make lets say a track in the 50s (thick trees no run offs and hay stacks as barriers) 90s (gravel traps for run offs, tyre walls and metals tube based frames) 2020s (latest Armco Barriers with lots of run off in the form of concrete run offs or the rough surfaced run offs tested at a couple grand Prix's this year if i recall correctly that would destroy the tyres if you went over it but would slow you down as it would be a very corrosive surface.)

(yeah i got nothing to really distinguish the actual track from the 90s to the current era) but you got buildings, race stands, and off track vehicles and marshall equipment and gear that can be very speicific.

another cool feature could be the abilty to make a track more livelier by adding trackside props in the form of those whacky advertising Flags (just type in it google you'll see what i mean) flares, lights, track stands, crazy floating carnival baloons (ok yes i guess i am missing NEED FOR SPEED Prostreet alot right now i will shut up take care lads!!!

any suggestions or modification or opposing thoughts for what I've suggested?

since the Open world map just got confirmed to officially be in game. this same toolset if modified and given some more features such as define road characteristics How many Lanes, one way and so on could be used to make open world maps. i would totally try to recreate and visit Sea Crest County from NFS HP 2010 but in VR!!!

My town is featured!

As a guy who lives 15 minutes away from the Ring, I can confirm that I will be able to drive right into my yard. In our local print media was featured recently that “Scan Cars for a PC game” will take pictures here.

I am hardly hyped.

Car Configurator

After this year's sim Racing Expo, the excitement around Assetto Corsa EVO has continued to grow. Following their first public test, there has been another new feature hinted at by a very excited Davide Brivio. A dealership-inspired car configurator for Assetto Corsa EVO.

If you are a raging petrolhead, you will most likely have spent many hours on car manufacturers' websites designing and specifying your dream car. Porsche has a fantastic car configurator, rendering exactly what your hypothetical car will look like in a variety of backgrounds.

Having this feature in Assetto Corsa EVO is a massive step forward. We already know that there will be a great deal of cars and manufacturers preset in the title, but each car will have all of its factory options available to configure from body colours to wheels and sunroofs.

"For each car, there will be all configurations and engines that you would find in any dealership. If your favourite car is sold in either petrol or diesel, to give you an example, or has a version that mounts 17-inch wheels with a sunroof, then it will be the same in our game." - Davide Brivio talking to Multiplayer.it

What this means is that the variety of vehicles will almost certainly quadruple without adding any new cars. A Jaguar F type, for example, can come with a 2.0 Inline four engine, but there is a manufacturer option for it to come with a 6.0 supercharged V8. Having both of these options within the game, and everything in between, could revolutionise how players progress through Assetto Corsa EVO.

Differing engine types are also mentioned by an over-excited Davide. This means that diesel cars will be in Assetto Corsa EVO. With tuning already confirmed, could rolling coal and smokey PD Volkswagon group engines be making an appearance in Kunos' newest title?
