Is AC Evo supposed to be focused on competitive multiplayer with rankings and competitions like iRacing or completely different type of sim?
After this year's sim Racing Expo, the excitement around Assetto Corsa EVO has continued to grow. Following their first public test, there has been another new feature hinted at by a very excited Davide Brivio. A dealership-inspired car configurator for Assetto Corsa EVO.
If you are a raging petrolhead, you will most likely have spent many hours on car manufacturers' websites designing and specifying your dream car. Porsche has a fantastic car configurator, rendering exactly what your hypothetical car will look like in a variety of backgrounds.
Having this feature in Assetto Corsa EVO is a massive step forward. We already know that there will be a great deal of cars and manufacturers preset in the title, but each car will have all of its factory options available to configure from body colours to wheels and sunroofs.
"For each car, there will be all configurations and engines that you would find in any dealership. If your favourite car is sold in either petrol or diesel, to give you an example, or has a version that mounts 17-inch wheels with a sunroof, then it will be the same in our game." - Davide Brivio talking to Multiplayer.it
What this means is that the variety of vehicles will almost certainly quadruple without adding any new cars. A Jaguar F type, for example, can come with a 2.0 Inline four engine, but there is a manufacturer option for it to come with a 6.0 supercharged V8. Having both of these options within the game, and everything in between, could revolutionise how players progress through Assetto Corsa EVO.
Differing engine types are also mentioned by an over-excited Davide. This means that diesel cars will be in Assetto Corsa EVO. With tuning already confirmed, could rolling coal and smokey PD Volkswagon group engines be making an appearance in Kunos' newest title?
Heya! Just thought Id put this head, as soon as AC EVO is released we have plans to run a league that the cars are chosen by the community! Check us out! We have also a F1 2010 league planned for AC (Original) for the lead up until January 16th!
Will everyone who play assetto corsa switch to ACE once its launched?, is the ACE the succesor of AC?
So as we know, we are getting traffic in Assetto Corsa EVO, but i really hope they go even further, i want them to full ass traffic ai. For example, in ac with 2real traffic, the traffic is janky af, they feel like they are driving on rails and they are just very unrealistic. So i really hope Kunos actually give us a convincing traffic, meaning the will behave as someone would on a highway, you'll see a variation of drivers on the road, the grandma's and the fast bmw's that own the left lane, and the oblivious ones that turn without checking, also i wouldn't mind having police and rules and etc. These will be key in actually making free roaming really enjoyable, and will help make it not boring like what we have now with ac. I think they have confirmed that the traffic ai will be bound by the same physics as the player which is what i want to hear, unlike ac where they take a left hander while pulling 10g around a corner on a flat bed
there will be a content manager for Ac EVO ? if yes that would be mean that the ingame economy will not be on it (maybe ) ?
I really like GT7 easy online modes and new weekly races. I think if Evo implements something like this I would be seeing myself playing this game. (I dont like with current AC there is a online community where you have to sign up etc and also how the races start.) I would love to see weekly races where you just pick a car and have online races.
I honestly hope the game is going to come on PS5 and have support for PSVR2. If that’s true, I’m gonna cash out for a nice wheel (sold a few y ago my G29) and a VR. Despite lacking the future mods that the PC community will have, I just want it to run out of the box. Amazing stuff so far at least from what has been presented. I’m willing to wait even if that’s not going to be ready at launch. Quality > Quantity.
has this been confirmed? I've seen interviews of single player where they say you can "rent" any car with xp gained, but that sounds more like a career or campaign mode. Which im not interested, dont have the time for that grind. Will it also have the sandbox style freeplay of just hop in pick any car you want and the track you want ant race? no career etc just freedom to choose?
Do you think ACEvo will have its own system similar to LFM, meaning LFM would lose its purpose in this game, and people won’t be racing there as much anymore?
So Kireth have uploaded a video of him diving into the settings and menus of Assetto Corsa EVO, and i happen to catch two new cars which is either the Toyota gr86 or the Suburu BRZ, as well as a 2000's honda, could be the s2000. Another thing i caught is a hidden setting in the ffb menu that says "oversteer limit", whicb might indicate Kunos giving casual users the ability to slide cars without spinning out, so that could be very interesting especially for those who love to drift undritable things.
So after the ADAC Expo, we learnt many things, some of them were predicted by the leaks from "iknowstuff" like the car economy and career mode. But i want to know from you guys. What features would make you switch from AC to ACE. because i know AC has gotten pretty darn good with mods so its kind of difficult to dethrone AC, so what things that ACE need to have for you to put AC on hold? For me its a very good out of the box graphics and VR. So not a lot of tinkering needed
Hi guys i don't hear allot about that because devs of evo said they are keeping the saym adn from asseto corsa for evo but could we still allowed in ac evo to take a car a track do hot lap or just drive and like have a campagne griding and the other side likrk a playground where you take the car you like on the track you like for fun or not anymore and onli campagne hope not
In a recent interview Massarutto says that they will release tracks only after that they will be fully scanned.
I think this is just a smart move to make money with DLC.
Do you agree?
Basically they are giving us 20/30 cars, 5 tracks and no free roaming. I think it’s a poor offer to start a new chapter.
Early access will end in December 2025.
Definitely not buying this game in January and waiting for the console version.
They need another year to complete the game. It’s clear.
Massarutto and the whole team seems very passionate, but it seems they don’t actually realize how the hype is high. Furthermore i can buy a 2.000 € PC, but I don’t get the point to have such a small offer and to be mysterious when are missing 3 months from January.
I’m a little bit disappointed…
9:25 Free roaming will be available some months after the release of the early access
Interesting interview here.
9:56 Marco talks about speed cameras (autovelox) in free roaming
12:15 Marco says that there will be official restomods
The fifth track will be one that hasn’t undergone recent changes. So 0% possibilities it will be Monza.
It’s a french video but the interview is in english
For me the feature crazy and not so crazy features that I would love to see are the following :
The GT World Challenge licence and it’s content being ported over from ACC to Evo so that the team can focus on only one game and that we can have to have the two games into one
A coop career mode hopefully with cross play if the game is released at some point on next gen consoles so I can play with my girlfriend without having to buy her a new pc just for that
PSVR2 support
The game being supported on Apple Silicon chips
Official F1 licence support instead or in addition to Codemaster games now that game will most likely have a decent career mode so we can have an F1 game with realistic physics
Maybe the craziest dream would be that with the troubles of Motorsport Games with Le Mans ultimate, Kunos would be able to buy Studio 397 and merge the content of LMU into EVO
Is ACE aiming for that? What are your thoughts?
I was watching the first gameplay of TraxionGG and I noticed that the Alpine screen had a laptimer, instead of a G-Force meter that was used in the trailer. So I suppose we can confirm that feature :)
So i did share many videos but the quality that reddit supports is atrocious, so i collected them and uploaded it to YouTube so you all can gaze at the beauty of this sim. Enjoy
