Critique Tips
Above all, be honest and forthcoming
Be specific, don't say "I like it!" say, "I like the way you...." and likewise for negative comments
Be Helpful, link to books, tutorials, or offer exercises for the artist
Don't refer to things as "good" or "bad," try to talk in terms of skill sets that can be worked on
A lot of us are visual thinkers, if you have a tablet copy+paste and make some notes
When receiving a critique, don't be too defensive, you can't explain away other peoples opinions of your art, try and listen to what they are saying

Any Crits would be very helpful!
Water soluble oil pastels, charcoal and aquarel on white paper
Hi! I’ve been working on this piece which i’m really happy with and would really like to add something to the background but i’m not sure as to what or how to add it since i usually just leave my pieces without them. I know that this is very vague and most likely not something that can be given proper advice for but i thought posting it here might be worth a shot either way. General advice on the piece is always appreciated too!
Any suggestions on 3/4 view I can do a 3/4 view for a normal person it’s just when it comes to this character his head shape is really messing with me.
Hi to evaluate my art final piece i need some people who don't personally know me to answer some questions on their interpretation of the triptych etc. I'd be incredibly grateful for just any short responses, thanks ☺️ The questions are: •What questions do you have about the triptych OR individual pieces? •Whats your personal interpretation? •What does the triptych tell you about the people in it? •Did it keep you engaged, feeling you could explore it for a long time? How do you think the triptych flows, can be through mediums, themes, objects etc...
My first time drawing a detailed background/landscape so any notes and tips on that would be appreciated !
Not sure if it's just because I've been staring at and working on this for 2 days but to me, the drone and woman don't look like they're actually in the scene, rather stamped on.
I have a bit of a filmmaking and VFX background so I know the compositing isn't right but my attempts to fix it haven't worked.
Any advice helps!!
I tried to stick to the primary colored pencils (ryb) and practiced a few with the secondary colored pencils(ogp). I still feel like it’s too grainy. How can I make it more smooth?
Made this yesterday is it any good I’ve been doing art for about 2 months now
Alcohol markers and gel pens. Still new to drawing - no classes taken lol - looking for all the feedback I can get to improve.
Does then subject matter come through as identifiable?
I’ve posted this here before but I’m still working on it! I really want it to be as perfect as possible as it’s my first piece ever in an exhibition :D
The intention is for it to be an ode to my Greek heritage (the exhibition is in Greece) hence the blue and white dominance. The Eurasian collared doves haven’t really been worked on yet but they will be holding olive branches. Is this a stupid idea??
Also if there are any HUGE mistakes that can be covered by another dove don’t be afraid to let me know lol
