Critique Tips
Above all, be honest and forthcoming
Be specific, don't say "I like it!" say, "I like the way you...." and likewise for negative comments
Be Helpful, link to books, tutorials, or offer exercises for the artist
Don't refer to things as "good" or "bad," try to talk in terms of skill sets that can be worked on
A lot of us are visual thinkers, if you have a tablet copy+paste and make some notes
When receiving a critique, don't be too defensive, you can't explain away other peoples opinions of your art, try and listen to what they are saying

I was trying to do an illustration with this reference but my sketch had inconsistencies, so i tried making stickman of the reference this is probably my 20th one. Yet i cant seem to figure out what missed. I am new to drawing from female references as well so if you can also suggest some channels i can refer to that will be great.
I use CSP and this is like my second week on the software. i draw anime style stuff so im not really well versed in realism.
I took everyone's advice and looked at some references to draw the legs. Hopefully that looks a little better. Thanks for the help!
Help. I’m having a crisis of confidence. Not sure if I’m moving paint around or creating something interesting. Give me your best/worst feedback.
I was asked to draw a bird or two for a tattoo piece a friend of mine is putting together. Every time I draw the legs/feet, I'm not happy with it. I know sometimes a bird's feet can be tucked so tight to their body that you can't really see them. Is this passable as it is? Should I keep trying to draw its feet? Does it look strange without them?
This is done in acrylic.
I was thinking analogous colors and such, but let me know. To get a sense of finished work my instagram is @aliviasterling
Spoiler bc scars, also any other crit welcome, thanks :)
This is stylized to the demon slayer artsyle : ))
How’s the perspective on this? Does the hair look alright? How is the rendering everywhere?
Thank you!
2 hours vs 20 hours. Trying to find my 'style'. What do you think? Pencil, charcoal, acrylics on wood
Im working on a contest peice rn and i need critique on how to improve it, im not entirely done yet but i sent the photo to my friend and they commented on how the fourth steak its hard to read whats happening, the maggots flys and mold all kinda merge together so im tryna figure out how to differentiate them more. (any pther critique or tips on how to improve the peice would be appreciated as well)
(view with full brightness for accurate colors)
Spoiler for violent (?) action idk theres a switchblade to someones throat and stuff lol.
I wanted to make the scene dramatic obviously, but ive always had a problem with lighting. Im proud of the pose ive drawn them in, and I'm trying to do something new with my digital art, making it more painterly without lineart.
Somethings off about it and im not sure ar all what, but i think it has something to do with the lighting and the background.
It's like it could've been good but something was ruined or missed along the process.
Criticism needed!! and honesty appreciated, no matter how blunt.
i’m 15 and am a bit stuck on how to improve i’ve just drawn this and i’d really appreciate any tips on how to improve thank you so much!
Pls no hate
