I understand that I have fine control over the volume with the crown control on the Airpod Pro Max headphones. Is there a similar level of fine volume control over the Airpod Pro 2s? I'm thinking of getting a pair of those since I am with Apple and would prefer something with tighter integration with iOS.
The question I have which has been burning for a while, is how fine is the volume control really? I realise that the volume control on iOS with headphones/earbuds in general isn't all that fine with fairly big jumps at least in my experience. I've never seen any option to have finer control over the the volume levels, except for when I had a pair of the Max and I had finer control by turning the crown.
I am hoping there is a way to have more control over the level of the volume on the Air Pod Pro 2s as well, since I have some hyperacusis (blame my brain and at least one ear for that) and would like to keep the volume down to a level where it's just right. I was able to easily do that with the Max, but unsure if it's possible with the Pro 2s.
I'd appreciate it if someone could chime in and tell me if this is possible. I really enjoyed the Max but it was uncomfortable because it was too heavy, so I gifted it and plan to get the Pro 2s instead.
Is it normal to hear people’s voices when anc is on? I hear it like transparency and adaptive, but a lot quieter (still “electronical”) and some other noises such as doors closing etc can also be heard, but sounds like fans get canceled out really good.
How to fix it only the AirPods got updated but not updated the case charger
Hello, am considering between the airpods 2 pro vs airpod 4 ANC. Since I am making the switch from samsung, wanna ask if anyone who previously used the galaxy buds 2 pro, is the silicon tip similar?
Would it be more discomfort for choosing airpods 4?
So about 6 months ago my girlfriend washed her AirPods and immediately tried to see if they worked by charging and they were tanked.
Flash forward. And I washed mine. I’m always so careful but slipped. These are first gen pods btw. I assumed they were trashed because of her situation but just decided to throw them in a drawer and let them dry out. Two weeks later, they charged up just fine and the sound quality is the same. My advice if this happens to you let them dry out. Put them in rice and or silicon packets and just forget them for a bit. Seems like the chances of survival are much higher.
I recently bought a new pair of Pros 2 after my old pros 1 stopped working
I use them mostly while riding my bike to block out the wind noise on the noise canceling
But the 2s seems like the microphone is always on? Even when noise canceling is on? Am I doing something wrong? I usually just have them set to ‘Off’ but the recent iso update removed that feature?
Thanks in advance for any help
How is it possible that my fake AirPods Pro 2 have working features like ANC, Transparency Mode, Live Listen, and Spatial Audio?
I work outside and LOVED being able to pop one AirPod in one ear and an earplug in the other during work. I work with a lot of loud equipment so the noice cancellation feature was amazing to use to protect my hearing from damage. But with this last update, you can’t turn on noise cancellation unless you have both AirPods in at the same time. Why did they do this?? Noise cancellation worked perfectly with only one AirPod in.. why remove it?????
My son lost his AirPods case yesterday. Pinging it only makes the AirPod make noise. What can we do?
Switching between modes only makes the sounds but absolutely no difference between transparency and ANC. I've definitely dropped these multiple times, so maybe that messed up something. I've cleaned out the mics with some wipes and an old brush, but that had no effect either. It's not in warranty, so apple won't do anything for free. Any other option or I'm SOL?
No matter how I try to hit the off option my AirPods make like 3 fast beeps in my ear and then shoots right back to the previous noise control option.
I can’t stand the default corded air buds that used to come with iPhones. I find the hard shell quite uncomfortable in my ear for lingering 20 minutes.
I’m curious if anyone else feels the same way about the corded headphones but likes the newest pros?
Thanks.
left airpod pro not connecting to case, i do not know what the problem is, i think a bit of snow got into the battery hole. i didnt find anything small enough to fit in the hole, case is comepletly fine, it is authentic, and the right airpod is working perfectly, please help me with this asap, thanks
I have a Samsung galaxy and my wife gave me her old airpod 2s so I could use them.
I have paired them to my phone and used them no problem when she is not around. But whenever she is, it automatically connects to her phone before I can even get chance to connect it to mine as soon as I take the airpods out the case even if my Bluetooth is on ready to connect.
It isn't connected to her icloud or anything like that so I don't really get what's going on.
I was watching football with my dad last week, and he saw the Apple Air Pods 2 hearing aid commercial and said he'd like to give it a try. This was a huge relief after spending about 10 years trying to get him a hearing aid! I bought them immediately on sale at Walmart.
He's been using them for about a week now and his only issue is that when he goes into his iPad to adjust the volume, he sometimes puts them into noise-canceling earphone mode instead of adaptive hearing.
Is there a way to remove the earphone options from the control panel, so that he only sees the hearing aid adjustments?
One of the airpods won't work because it says it is permanently charging and I don't know what to do anymore I've tried the whole reset thing but that won't work. So, please help
What is the point of the “fixed” spatial audio setting? The songs generally just sound less loud and kinda muffled when i have the dolby atmos turned on. I just don’t understand what am i missing out on? Everybody praises how HIT ME HARD AND SOFT by Billie Eillish sounds great on spatial mode, but to me it is just less loud and kinda muffled? Am i missing something? Does anyone know a song that would showcase it?
In the early days it was phenomenal. After some updates it was okayish , but now it’s just plain bad, it lets trough a lot of noise.
Any recommendations on good ANC audio devices are welcomed, thank you
Long story short, AirPods have been lost for months (I left them 200 miles away) but I’ve been able to track on find my and put them into lost mode. They are being used as they go between two locations everyday.
If the person who’s found them is using an android phone would they get the lost message asking to contact me? Or is it only when an iPhone connects to them?
My third gens have been having a problem for awhile where I’d play music and everyone in the world can hear what I’m listening to. Specifically my left one, the sound isn’t muffled, but it definitely sounds “distant” like the sound isn’t going into my ear and it’s next to it. I tried cleaning them but my warranty is done and I’d rather not go take them to get repaired if I can fix them on my own.
Anyone else have the issue where their AirPods connect and disconnect randomly even though they are firmly in ears? Any known solutions. I have AirPod pros gen 2 and no AppleCare
I’ve had a pair of first gen AirPods for a little over three years and a few weeks ago I started to notice that even if I charged the case for hours with them in it, once I put them in my ears they would last maybe 45 minutes max before they died. Is this just the battery dying or is there some way to fix it?
Finally upgraded my iPhone, which now means my 2 pairs of 2nd gen AP pros are the last thing I own which takes a lightning cable.
Was wondering if it was possible/practical/financially viable to change the cases on these to USB-C cases to bring them in line with everything else for simplicity’s sake?
