Don't get me wrong, I love reading his fics, intuition is one of my favorites, but I feel like every single one of his fix ends up doing something like:

Chapter 1: Taylor gets a lame power

Chapter 2: Taylor learns more about her power

Chapter 3: Taylor is waging a multi-dimensional war against an alien superstate.

Lodestar, Strings, and Intuition are the ones that come to mind, but there are others. I guess I feel like it just doesn't give the story room to breathe. Maybe it's a personal preference but I like fics that are more street level, like Friendly Neighborhood Silk or Paths Diverged. More relatable? Idk.

Fic is that Taylor is skyrim player with all the skills and crafting abilites and she just has fun with it main things i remember she makes all sorts of potions for the prt and wards gets in argument with a Karen? about what is in the potions and some how Dragon has bouncy physics armor that is confusing her and Armsmaster. I do NOT remember if Dragon with bouncy armor was real or not.

Title is probably self explanatory, I'm looking for fics like The Crow, (1994). Though, this can either mean fics with aspects of The Crow like the powers or mythology or characters, or just fics where Taylor comes back to life looking for revenge, etc.

I severely doubt this exists, But Taylor as a Crater Raider from Fallout 76(or any of the less extreme Raider groups from Fallout, or even a OC raider group. Just similar in intensity to the Crater Raiders). Every time i see Taylor, she’s either a wastelander, a settler, or a vault dweller. She never winds up following her path in Canon, joining a morally dark group and going pretty far off the deep end trying to justify her actions.

Can be Isekai, having Taylor transported to another universe or time, or just pushing the timelines closer together so Taylor being alive during the Wasteland makes sense.

I’d just love to see her being far more morally ambiguous or dark than your typical Fallout fic(or at least the ones i’ve read).

I remember this one snippet where a young Taylor slaughters the entirety of Arkham asylum, due to her killing one person in self-defense and thinking “hey, I’m going to go to Arkham, there are bad people in Arkham, I’m already going to Arkham, I’m going to make sure that I’m safe in Arkham” I just can’t for the life of me remember the name. I know it was a snippet/one shot, the general details of the fic, but can’t find it. Help will be appreciated.

I'm looking for long fics that have interesting powers. I like basically everything so send in any suggestions you think are good

I'm a big fan of post-Worm fics of Taylor trying to cobble together something resembling a peaceful and normal life on Aleph or wherever, having a normal job and raising a family. A number of those fics, of course, include her having to trying to raise a child (usually a daughter) with all the trauma that she has.

So, a question to my head: how would Taylor deal with the knowledge if it came out that her daughter (or son, whatever) was a bully? How would she deal with the situation where her own blood is picking on other kids>

Mostly looking for this for crack purposes but also if anyone knows of one specifically where the 1D boys are a cluster trigger please let me know. Other RPF would also work.

A popular form of fic is Taylor (or SI or whatever) comes into the story with powers from a different source.

e.g.

Lodestar: Taylor is a mutant (Marvel)

The Last Daughter: Taylor is Kryptonian (DC)

Intergalactic No Fault Collisions: Taylor has the force (Star Wars)

Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy: Taylor has a UEF AI (Supreme Commander)

Something I was making note of while reading TTSS is that she is still her canon self, the only change is that she has UEF tech she can build now.

She still has the potential to trigger in that story. In fact, any of the above examples could expand her abilities by having her trigger.

It doesn't go that way because it's not what the fic is about, but I'm curious if there are any that do head in that direction.

The closest I've seen so far is The Shadow Over Brockton Bay, a crossover with the manga Ajin where Taylor can control the black mist because she is uniquely the only person on earth who is both an Ajin and a parahuman, making her more powerful than either. It was really interesting seeing how QA integrated her existing status as an Ajin into the granted powerset, that's more of what I'm looking for.

tl;dr: I'm looking for a fic where Taylor (preferably) has powers from some other source, and then triggers independent of that.

I'm looking for fics where MC has powers and uses them for personal use rather than fighting/starting crime. They can use power for business, hobby, or fun. I'd prefer it be slice of life or even fluff. Fighting scenes tend to bore me and I enjoy powers used to benefit in a realistic way. Basically rogue capes. Fighting can be involved but I don't want it to be the main focus. Fics like Choose your poison or White Mage are what I'm looking for but more slice of life

I was reading Tyrant just now and got to the Tattletale interacting with the SI scene. It’s so well written and must seem like such a gigantic mindfuck for her.

Any other really well done scenes like that? Doesn’t need to specifically be tattletale.

Hell I’m looking for amazing SIs in general that mess with the idea of the world of worm being fictional that Tyrant does. Another one I really enjoyed was Adversary and its ending.

Focal tinkers, ever since I learned about them, have always seemed very interesting to me. Unlike regular tinkers, who find refuge in their versatility, focal tinkers simply make many iterations of one kind of device. Think Ben 10 and the multiple omnitrixes and ultimatrixes he had, or Armsmaster if he only made halberds. I’ve never seen a focal tinker fic done, but I think it could be very entertaining. I’ll even take a Ben 10 fic, if there is one.

I only read the first bit so I don’t have much to go on but there was this fic where the mc wakes up on a fire escape outside some ladies window in bb and she gets pissed. The mc then says it was probably a prank by their friends. They ask where they are and the lady says they’re in brockton bay making the mc realize they’re in worm. That is all i remember.

I've heard of that Herrscher quest story, but I just don't see Taylor being the Herrscher of Void.

This, to me, should be more common. While I get that then it’s not truly you as you are now if you’ve left your teens like most writers have, it’s the simplest way to avoid creepiness.

Because come on, it is creepy for somebody who has the memories of a thirty year old to be thirsty for a fifteen year old. You could argue their own now hormone-soaked teenage brain puts them on equal footing because their decision-making is much worse than their memories would imply, but I don’t buy that given most of these SIs manage to be hyper-competent and wise beyond their physical years. And even if they weren’t, they still have massively more life experience, even if they use it sub-optimally.

I clarify i only want a fic where the MC has Fallout related powers.

A Daring Synthesis just got permanently content locked on Spacebattles.

I read until Kill Six Billion Greg's, since that's where the story ended IMO, which was about 3 years ago or so. By that point the story had pretty much resolved the initial core concept (Greg becoming a better person) and there's been a big climax and pretty much every other plot point had been resolved so I was happy to just step away from the story.

Apparently the story has had a lot of updates since then, but I didn't keep up. I think I read a few chapters after the 'end', but didn't really see the point anymore.

A content review just decided against the story and it's being permanently closed. Tbh, I can't see why. Either they haven't read the story, or the tone of the story changed completely since I stopped reading.

It was the best, and only, de-radicalisation story I've ever seen of an unrepentant 4-chan internet-troll persona gradually realising what an idiot and burden on everyone around them they've been and dragging themselves out of that hole step by step.

If I'm being honest I think on that merit alone it deserves to be read by a fair few people, and absolutely isn't deserving of getting booted off Spacebattles.

Can anyone who's read the story in the last few years and seen the latest updates mention if that changed or something? Like, I genuinely cannot help but think the mods must have not read the story if they think it's worth getting rid of.

Greg at the start is absolutely awful, but that's the whole point or else there would never have been any change.

And this isn't one of those stories where the MC is trash, but the author kind of bends the narrative to make them seem good and fair etc, even in the first chapter Assualt acts as a narrative foil for showing what an idiot Greg is being, the author is being pretty clear that Greg's actions aren't being condoned or supported by the narrative.

Even in the content review post they say author's have leeway when characters are written to be bad etc, but it honestly seems like apparently they don't???

I think Dinah gained the Butcher's powers, but the section I remember is a group of E88 guys going after Taylor in a school (possibly after she was outed?) and Taylor going full horror-movie on them. Hidden speakers, cobwebs, the works. If I remember right, they ended up fleeing to the police who were outside and begging to be arrested.
