This subreddit is intended to act as an archive for photos of world silver coins which have already been posted on other subreddits, as well as a sort of online coin museum providing educational information about the coins posted.

It's great if you are able to post coins from your own collection, but it's also fine to post photos and/or articles that you've found online. Please include a bit of educational material about the coin(s) in your submission. You can edit imgur albums to include text.

It's fine to cross-post from other subreddits and to repost old submissions from other subreddits. While this subreddit isn't intended to be a free karma circlejerk there's no reason to let good material go to waste. Recycled material is welcome, and is always new to somebody.

You may want to tag your submissions:

[OC] - Original content, photos of coins from your personal collection or ones you have taken of coins in a museum or of coins that are in someone else's collection

[PFO] - Photo(s) found online of coins in private or museum collections. Please credit these when possible as to the photographer and collection.

[Article] - Links to Wikipedia, blog posts, coin websites, online references, etc.
