I’m trying to find a setting to make headings adjust in size based on mobile view.
Right now I have two websites with the exact same design, but the headings are not behaving the same way.
arabianscape.com
taibacc.com
Notice in the first domain, the headings have a reasonable size.
In the second, the headings are extremely large and overflowing on mobile view.
I checked all typography settings, nothing seems different.
Any support would be appreciated.
A few days ago, I made this post
It was about, working for free for anyone - a lot of users advised against it and also more had other ideas.
Since then, I have helped a few people on Reddit fix stuff on their website, ranging from SEO to technical fixes.
That said, I realized maybe people or I am beginning to mix UI with the job of a Developer. I suppose as a developer, you arrange things, put the UI together to make it functional and useful.
People asked more questions as regards UI rather than functionality. To be honest, I am not good with design but I can design anything you show me, ideas shared with me perfectly.
I am asking if there is anyone who has a job and is willing to get someone on it. I want to work with you, and hopefully build some strong relationships from there.
In many years, I have not actually done much work for clients but rather built more stuffs for myself.
I am also open to learning, I communicate well and I actually know WordPress proper.

That's all. Title. It's really just such a bummer. I've had to fight so hard for so many years to convince people to use WP as a CMS: meetings, blog posts, creating courses, videos, so many comments and dumb arguments... and now I'm trying to figure out how much this is going to cost me if things go south and for some reason ACF breaks on 30+ past client sites. Huge bummer. I'm trying to just not think about it - but I just wanted to weigh in. It's not as insignificant as they think it is. Everyone dev I know (who uses WP for custom CMS projects) is now completely reconsidering WP as a viable tool.
Hi,
I am wanting to understand whether 1) all of the pages I have published are in my site map and 2) whether all the pages in my site map are indexed by google
Before getting into 2), I am confused by WP UX. It appears that I only have 50 pages published, but GSC indicates >90 are indexed, so I am misunderstanding the 'Published (50)?'
Where in Wordpress can I find all the pages I have published? Would that be Published + Private?
They have a LTD (lifetime deal) that is going away after this month.
I'm considering these to add to my stack, but been a little hesitant pulling the trigger because I haven't been able to find any good recent reviews or tutorials showcasing these plugins. Perhaps this is a red flag?
These are developed by the same team who created Meta Box, so I think they're pretty reputable with a solid track record. Not sure why they're revoking the LTD plans and not even offering a BFCM discount though...
Anyway, was wondering if any SEO gurus here have purchased these plugins or have used them before.
Do you recommend them over the schema and link managing features already offered in the popular SEO plugins like Rank Math or SEOPress?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been thinking a lot about the CMS market and wanted to get your opinions on an idea I’m exploring. Here’s the lay of the land as I see it:
This leaves a gap:
I’m working on an idea (tentatively called Thorbis) that bridges this gap: a CMS that’s as easy to use as WordPress but offers the flexibility and performance of a headless system. Think of it as a hybrid solution that can scale for developers while being simple for businesses.
One area I’m particularly excited about is incorporating AI to dynamically adapt content based on user engagement, something I feel hasn’t been fully realized in the CMS world yet.
I’d love to hear your thoughts:
I’d really appreciate your insights! Also, if you’re curious about the data, I’ve included sources to keep things transparent.
Looking forward to hearing what you think!
I'm working on putting together an article for my blog and went through the very manual task of looking up most of the popular shared WordPress hosts and listing out their prices and features. Figured I'd share it here in case its helpful for people. The prices are all for a 12 month plan to try to keep it consistent between the providers.
Not sure the best way to measure service for all these providers or figure out if there are any other hidden renewal prices, but this is the best I was able to get with the brute force research approach.
If anything here does look off, let me know and I can fix it.
Edit: Updated SSL for Dreamhost
What bloggers, podcasters, twitter users and news outlets have had the best, and the worst, coverage so far and why?
For me, the interviews with Nerdealla and Theo were excellent for not letting Matt off easy. I can't find it any more but Jonathan Denwood of WP-Tonic has some very direct feedback for Matt on his show as well.
I'll also give kudos to Techcrunch for reporting on the leaked memo and the interview was pretty decent given the format. Lastly, this piece from The Repository was insightful.
Thoughts?
I’m trying to add a timeline into my Wordpress post page but every time I try to add a new entry it says “Block “Timeline Entry” can’t be inserted” what should I do??
I'm looking to move my two business websites from BigCommerce across to Wordpress/Woocommerce. We don't get many visitors (300-400/month), don't sell much from the website (and probably never will), are mainly dealing with other businesses as customers and don't need anything fancy.
Structure wise I'm after:
I've had a play with a standard setup (no purchased add-ons) via a hosting company and whilst confusing I think I'm getting the hang of it. I'm about to reinstall and start again on the "finished" version.
I see there are lots of different paid add-ons - elementor, breakdance, etc. Do they make much of a difference? Given I'm only doing 2 websites are they likely to be worthwhile to purchase and then learn?
We use Figma to design our websites, then build the designs out on Elementor.
It would be awesome if we could use AI to do even 50% of the work, then we can tweak, change, fix anything that isn't quite right.
Does anyone have any experience with plugins like Figmafy, Yotako, UiChemy (or any of the other tools/Figma plugins) that can do this?
I know that nothing can replace the devs' role, but I'm really hoping that we can find a way to make their jobs easier and less stressful.
I wonder if even something like Locofy or Framer could be a solution? Or maybe we need to look at Gutenburg or Bricks instead of Elementor?
We need to be able to build websites that our clients can update easily themselves (change pages, images and add content)
Hey folks - I have a client that has an issue with routing leads properly. (Don't get me started about CRM - we're already in the works.) HOWEVA, There seems to be a disconnect between the users and our expecation. The first field says "How Can We Help You?" from there - based on the user's choice an additional dropdown list pops out.
THe problem is that users rarely pay attention to their choice in "how can we help you?". They select the first option and go about thier day. Of course, this affects they way they are routed and many times will result in a lost lead.
Thoughts?
We're looking at adding AI chat box to the site to mitigate "one-off" form fills..
When it comes to websites, do you prefer using contact forms or quote forms to connect with businesses?
I’m a web designer, and I’m curious to know which one you feel works better for generating leads or providing a smoother experience.
Suggestions please
Does anyone else have this issue where WordPress suddenly doesn't show the post when trying to edit in tablet/Mobile view?
I usually have to edit all 3 for the appearance to be fine especially with dot points or copy and pasting.
Anyone has this issue and manage to resolve it?
Thanks
I made a slider in revolution slider 6 and before inputting the new images first, I accidentally deleted the current images first from the media library. Now because the images do not exist there is an Ajax error, however because of the error I cannot access the slider anymore and it isn’t allowing me to access the media library either. How can I access this slider so I don’t have to start over and so I can access the media library?
I've had the most random and bizarre thing happen on my Webserver running WordPress.
All of a sudden, I've had a crapload of errors thrown by PHP for a couple of missing files:
Uncaught exception 'Error' with message 'Failed opening required '/home/nginx/domains/<mydomain>/public/wp-blog-header.pgp' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php')' in /home/nginx/domains/<mydomain>/public/index.php:17
As you can see, it should have been .../wp-blog-header.php not .pgp.
And another one:
Uncaught exception 'Error' with message 'Failed opening required '/home/nginx/domains/<mydomain>//public/wp-incluaes/version.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php')' in /home/nginx/domains/<mydomain>//public/wp-settings.php:33
In this one, it's not the filename, but the folder /wp-incluaes/ that should have been /wp-includes/
Both happened at the same time and resolved themselves by restarting the php server process. Because the files calling these were correct. The path/files being called were correct. It's only the memory that was wrong.
So it looks like the memory had a couple of bytes randomly changed by one bit (respectively -1 ASCII and +1 ASCII)
As much as I like the fact that restarting the process solves the issue. I'm wondering how in the world it can happen?
I tried to google it, but couldn't find a single result related to that.
This is more for info, not really asking for help about about being hacked. I have wordfence, I received an email this morning that an admin user had logged into my site. It wasn't me, the username was literally 'custom'. Thats odd. I logged in to my wp-admin and I find the user named custom, and the email address is wpinfo1234@gmail.com nothing I know of. I searched my email inbox for emails from wordfence about the user custom being created, and there are none. I removed the admin role from the user. I found a plugin installed, for a file manager plugin, i deleted that. They probably used that plugin to modify my files. I found in wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/woocommerce.php an added line in the header that would inject a google ad using their ad account. I reinstalled my wordpress core, I reinstalled all plugins. I changed my passwords for everything I could think of also. So anyway, the confusion is how this user was created anyway, and why didnt wordfence notify me of the user being created. Maybe they went in directly to the database and added the user, maybe wordfence doesnt realize it was created when done that way.
thanks
This is a weird one. I've built a WordPress site for a client who is on an intranet. Their IT department has granted me access to the site, but when I come through remotely I can't actually go to the 'real' URL. Their Citrix-based gateway changes all the URLs to long encrypted public versions. Consequently, I can see the site and get to the login page for the WP site, but once I click "log in" it just reloads the login page - I think because the URL defined in the site settings isn't one I can actually get to.
EDIT: Once I do this login and get reloaded on the login page, I can then go to a URL within the site and see the admin toolbar at the top, but I can't actually access any of it - clicking any of the tools just routes me back to wp-login.php.
Can anyone think of a way around this sort of thing? Is there any method of setting up a 'wildcard' somewhere or an alternate login method I could use?
HI all. Looking for some advice on how to improve email delivery speed from my website. Right now it takes several hours for a email to be generated/received, whether it's a password reset or a notification from WPForms. Thanks for any help you can provide.
I recently acquired a business and I'm facing some challenges with updating the website. It's currently built on wordPress with a custom theme, but I want to move it to a more user-friendly platform like Webflow or Framer where I can easily make changes. I don't want to lose the great traffic the site is currently getting, especially from the blog posts linked to it. Our focus is weddings, so we do a lot of blog post. Additionally, I need a database and login for a vendor directory where users can create their own accounts and add videos to their listings.I've spoken to a few people, but I don't know if they understand my vision. I am scared to go the full rep full stack route because of cost I know this can be done inside of WordPress, but I really need a way to manage the front in design. There is a platform called, show it that I'm familiar with, which is very similar to Elementor I'm looking for advice on the best way to proceed. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hey everyone,
I have a website project for city tours. The requirement is that the customer can add tours (with some selected variations) to a cart and then there is a way of 'booking them' which is just sending an inquiry email with cart (tour) details to the website admin.
I'm looking for a solution to handle this requirement and the following options come to my mind:
Any ideas/feedback here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
I am using elementor since 3 years and starting to work on bricks and planing to buy bricks lifetime plan is it worth it?
My most of the work is crocoblocks related or custom themes
Its very rare i make full websites most of the time i mostly fixes what my clients can't fix or too complicated.
I heard all the hype about bricks so what's the genuine opinion?
I have a new client who is looking to add a scheduling tool to their website. When I picked up this client the only way they were scheduling appointments online was by clients sending an email or calling, neither of which was integrated into the website. I have since added a form that can be filled out on the site to start to appointment process, but ideally we would like clients to be able to fully book online and be able to receive an e-mail after their appointment asking how it was.
I have looked at options for scheduling such as Amelia, Simply Scheduling, as well as HubSpot's Scheduling Software and I have also looked at fully fledged CRM options like Zoho and HubSpot CRM.
This is something that I plan to install and set up on my client's website, and then teach them how to use it to better manage appointments. Any advice on what plugins might have the options we are looking for that would also be easy for the client to use?
