For anyone/anything connected the peninsula that is Wirral!

Currently considering options of moving to the Wirral due to cheaper rental housing.
Many come up in Wallasey and Birkenhead areas but commonly people say it can be “rough” in some areas.
Can anyone recommend areas suitable to live, or areas to stay clear of?
Can anyone recommend someone to put an aerial up for me in the Birkenhead area please? I’ll be supplying the aerial, cable and fittings. Thank you
Looking for a printing shop to print a poster for a conference. I would appreciate recommendations
size: 98 cm x 2m
Thank you very much!
Any good spots for foraging sea buckthorn around the Wirral? I hear it grows well around here
If so any thoughts? Any good? Do they enjoy it etc…
Hi, I'm struggling to find a job. I'm 18, and a hardworker, I live in Bromborough and was wondering if anyone had any pointers of where to look, I have tried indeed and other places, even tried going to the job centre but because I dont have many qualifications it's been pretty bad. Will do most things, bar work, cleaning, labour etc. If anyone can help me out feel free to reach out.
We were on holiday in York in July and met the nicest woman named Chelle. She was staying in the flat next to ours. We chatted over drinks on the patio. She told us she lived in the Wirral and works at a hair salon. She had a college aged son and was on holiday with her boyfriend. Unfortunately, they left before we could get her contact info. My kids and I are from the US and would love to send her something. I know this is a complete long shot given that the Wirral is a big place and we’ve little information but we figured maybe we’d try here. Thanks!
We're hoping to move back to the Wirral next summer, so I have Rightmove on permanent alert... this house (which we have been calling Dr Evil's lair up to now) has been kicking around for a long while now and has just popped up as the prize house in the Omaze draw.
Never saw it in real life (because a) we can't afford it and b) we're not supervillains from the 1970s (you can't tell me that pool doesn't connect to a shark tank)), but of course it's now disappeared from Rightmove and I can't remember where it was. Caldy?
Hi all, Can anyone recommend a plumber ? My kitchen sink mixer tap needs replacing.
Doesn't look a difficult job, just don't wanna risk messing it up by doing it myself lol.
Has anyone else seen a big decrease in how much tennis courts are being used since they were upgraded and made pay-to-play?
The council supposedly got a grant from the LTA to upgrade courts but unfortunately that has meant they've now put locks on them all and given the running of the courts to another company. Before upgrade the ones near us were pretty busy. When they were first upgraded it was free to book and the courts were full! Not they've made it £4/HR (or £35/yr) they are typically empty or only have one court filled and hardly ever by families with kids just having a knock about, unlike before where there were often families.
I get they want to keep the courts nice and discourage anti social behaviour but just having a booking system but making it free would still do that. As it is it just seems to have killed the "family fun time" opportunity and seems to be discouraging use, so completely the opposite of the claimed intention.
We have quite a few tennis clubs nearby so anyone serious is likely to just use their facilities. Previously it was great to have free courts to get kids interested in the game and encourage adults to be active but now they're gone there's a barrier to entry. Such a shame but sadly not a suprise.
Does anyone know of any drama clubs on the Wirral for kids?
My 12 year old has given up football and wants to try drama.
The ones I've found (via Google) such as the Pauline Quirk Academy are so expensive.
Many thanks
good morning! Me and my family have recently moved back to the UK after living in Italy. My 4 year old was previously fluent in Italian but since moving back has sadly lost a lot of it. I’m searching for Italian lessons here in the Wirral but can’t find anything. Does anyone know of any? Can be further afield. Alternatively would love to hang out with Italian families if there are any around!
Recently relocated to the Wirral, does anyone ever need a player to join their matches? Ideally around 7/8pm in the evenings.
I’m currently using an app called Footy Addicts to find matches to play in, but have to travel to Liverpool to play
Finding a place on the Wirral to play would be ideal. Thank you!
Hey! :-)
Is it a bad idea to look for people to join us for 5-a-side football on here?
I’m sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, it's an opportunity for you to play with us!
Would it be impossible to find a goalkeeper to join us too? :-)
We play every Sunday, it’s open aged, mixed ability and all are welcome!
How does this sound?
We look forward to seeing you join us!
I've only got a small dog and she's like a drowned rat after 10 minutes in the rain. Getting a bit sick of doing the Cheshire oaks circle and it's getting expensive haha.
I’m thinking about renting a place in that area. Looks ok from what I can see on google maps. What’s it like living there? Is it quiet. I’m looking at the west side of the A41 near Shorefields Cliffs. Any info would be appreciated.
Wirral, the Oblong of Dreams
Jumping on the sunset bandwagon 🤪 Hilbre/WK beach at sunset at the background of these supermoon and later on the partial lunar eclipse we had last night.
Happy mid autumn festival everyone!
Kind of jumping on the sunset bandwagon...with a twist...
This was the full moon a month ago across the Mersey as viewed from Egremont prom. I swear the moonlight reflected just like that, there are no effects or filters added to this photo.
I think its beautiful and worth a share on here
