I have over 2 decades of meat cutting exp. As well as being Department manager of high volume stores along with managing smaller locations. Though the way this company seems to go about managing and the process to promote those that apply is very foreign to me and I don't see the logic behind it? If anyone could enlighten me on this topic that would be a bonus to me. Thanks for any info that is given! š¤š¼
Hello,
I am wanting to step down from my leadership position into an order writer role. There is one open but my STL talked to me today and said basically they hired someone as a āback up order writerā that they already pay for it so they have a 60% chance of already getting the position. This doesnāt seem right. I donāt mind interviewing for a position but my problem is if I sign that paper I have 30 days to find another job there and with that being open it seems that they may have been using this as a scare tactic? Also has anyone ever heard of a someone being hired as a back up and also getting paid like the order writer at the same time? I have never witnessed or heard of this. Seems like the interview is rigged. What should I do?
Just got hired for part time seasonal. They keep sending me emails about the background invitation and saying they have sent me the link before. But I haven't gotten any link from them. I checked my spam and nothing.
So I'm not sure what to do lol.
Shopping is so fun but the UPH thing brings me down. My highest UPH on a day when no one helped with my orders was over 70 and I was really happy but that's still not good enough I guess.
Yesterday my UPH was really low like 55, maybe because I helped another new team member out for a few minutes and also had to get help finding items that weren't on the shelf. I left work with a tension headache.
I kind of feel like I can't win with this job. I either have to cut corners to get a higher UPH or take the time to do a good job but then I'm too slow. Either way I'm not good enough.
One of my team leaders always brings up UPH to me when she's working asking what mine is etc. and I feel like my every move is being watched. She told me on my last shift I needed to get 90.
Only been here as a seasonal a few weeks and not even working every day (shifts are so hard to come by lately).
I don't even think speed and UPH were mentioned in the job description. lol If it's so important it should be. I am actually able to enjoy shopping if I don't worry about UPH.
What are some of your favorite locations to work at in the city? I donāt want to be in Boulder. Thanks!
havenāt started yet. just finished the background check thing and stuff like that. what should i expect? does anyone have any tips or advice? are we allowed to listen to music? etc. iām pretty excited, the people at my location seem cool and it seems like a nice environment.
Tfw you only have shopped 1 small order so far and you were constantly interrupted by people asking you questions lol
(currently a seasonal part time shopper.) Do all part timers at Whole Foods get assigned one shift/week and then pick up shifts as they choose or are there more shifts assigned? Iām applying to a job in bakery and I want to know if I can do what I did with my job in Ecomm and say Iām available morning noon and night and then drop any shifts that Iām not available during, which is what Iāve been doing bc I had some college classes taking place during some time periods I said I was available and thanks to the dropping of shifts and picking new one as I please it has never been an issue :) just wanna make sure that arrangement continues so I donāt have to pick between work and school
I got a job offer for supervisor after I interviewed for it in my store and itās been over a week and no response back from I guess regional? Iām still listed under my current position. Is this normal?
Happy Halloween! Our store just finished putting up christmas decorations. I despise this company more and more.

Previously I didn't have any convictions and left on a semi good note with my team leader I now have 3 felony charges and two protection orders that I broke Knowing their pending and I previously worked there will I still be hired ?? Without any issues
What did your store do for this Halloween ? You guys allow to dress up ? Any pumpkin carving contest ?
Whatās everyone wearing?
I use my id # to sign into everything, Iāve never even seen my name@wholefoods.com, and I canāt access it, and it wonāt even let me add my phone number so Iām just kind of like š§āāļø do I just tell my tl that I want to apply for the job and then do it without adding anything or what
I currently have EBT and I need to have a certain amount of hours worked to a oid having to do a career training program. I will be starting tomorrow and am wondering how many hours can I expect as a new hire as a part-time seasonal in-store shopper
I finally got my first shift date- tomorrow. Is there any questions that you asked or suggest that I ask that will aid in my success as an in-store shopper and TM? Or in general some things you caught in to that were helpful. Thank you in advance!
when u guys got hired, did u get an email or a call when ur first shift / when u come in for trainings? i did the new member and food handler trainings online already, and i havenāt heard anything yet
I requested 2 weeks off and they were approved. They denied me 2 of the requested dates because they fell in the week of a schedule that was already made. if I miss those 2 days that were denied and thus leave 2 days early could I get a write up? I have enough upt for those 2 days.
If i wanted to change my direct deposit information to a new bank do i delete my old one and just add my new one?
New team member. Do we get 35% off at the hot bar? I saw it said something about an additional 15% off, but my last two purchases have only been 20% off.
Do I qualify for any protected time off of any sort? Long story short Iām going through a DV situation and needed to call off two shifts and came in late a hour, so Iām negative now. I am great hard worker and I know my managers like me, I just stayed late yesterday to help one out because we had callouts and were falling behind.
Iām a PT and I get my big list of shifts in Innerview on Friday @ 6:30pm (unsure if itās different in other sections). Last Friday no shifts came up, normally 70-100 spanning 3 weeks, and I didnāt get my mandatory shift for the week of 11/11. Anyone else have this issue?
Discussion
Been with the company for a little over 3mos now, status is PT/ Front end. Since Iāve started, Iāve never been able to access available shifts via Innerview so I can make some extra $$$.
Store manager tells me itās my work status, TL tells me itās my Kronos. After changing my work status there; no dice. A ticket has been submitted but still no luck. I really donāt want to keep reaching out verbally in order to pick up shifts, but if thatās what I need to do then so be it.
I have a medical condition that is making me extremely sick tonight and will probably last through all of tomorrow. I applied for intermittent leave about a month ago and I'm just waiting on Sedgwick to review my doctor's paperwork. Can you use it while it's still pending? I have negative UPT currently and don't know what to do.
Obviously if my leave request is denied my absences would be unexcused in the end but it seems like you should be able to use it tentatively while it's pending approval. If you're applying for permanent intermittent leave at all, you're probably going to actually need it...
In the past Sedgwick has taken ages to process paperwork for other accommodations and leaves and thrown as many hurdles in front of me as possible. So what am I supposed to do in the meantime just magically not have the disease I have?
