I went to my local Whole Foods today to get the tikka masala and yellow rice and it’s different than I remember. They used to serve big pieces of chicken thigh and today it was smaller diced Pieces of chicken. Plus the saffron rice used to have vegetables like peas and carrots in it and now it’s hard pieces of lentils instead 😢
When Whole Foods started selling this kombucha I couldn’t believe it. It costs almost half the price of Synergy but is as good. I would regularly buy 3-4 bottles. Really helped me cut down my beer intake. It was also very popular. I would regularly come to store to find out that is was almost sold out. Back a few weeks ago I thought that Whole Foods made competition for Dr Health and Synergy very stiff as they were selling 16 Oz kombucha go ~$4 and 365 kombucha was selling at $2.5 for 16 Oz Well now that miracle disappeared. I can’t find 365 kombucha any longer in any of Los Angeles stores. Staff in the store saying they don’t stock it anymore. So I’m back to either drinking $4 Synergy or getting back to beer 🍺 Did anyone else noticed disappearance of 365 Kombucha? Did you hear anything about it? Please let me know. Why a product that was in a such demand and was a real will for consumer through market competition disappeared?
I’m looking for a specific brand of scrunchies sold around 2020, prior to the store selling Kitsch. I attached a picture of the one I have left but it was sold as a set. They’re really soft and hold my hair perfectly and I’d like to repurchase, but all of my searches end up with current inventory. Any idea what the brand might have been? TIA!
So this is what happened with me at a store recently. I bought just a garlic.. was late to cook dinner. .. so had to run and get a garlic. I had my backpack. .. something I always carry when I step out of the house.
Cashier asked if I need a bag, I said no, pointing to my backpack. She anyway grabbed a paper bag and put that one garlic in that bag!
The cashier refused to honor that my backpack was as a real bag. She said she can't give me 10 cents saving because that isn't a real grocery bag. I was like, lady, do you hear yourself? I couldn't believe that this was even a discussion. It was one little garlic, I could just carry that in my hand. They still maintain that I need to bring a real reusable "grocery bag" to claim that 10 cent saving.
I took the garlic out and returned the paper bag. She said that's fine, she can't give me 10 cents off.
Regardless of how I carried, the store still saved a paper bag and I still saved some of the dead trees. How do you explain this stupidity?
It wasn't a matter of 10 cents.. but the height of stupidity.
I really hope that someone from WFM follows this group and listens to the customer feedback that gets posted... After being loyal customers since 2009, we decided we will no longer be shopping at WFM for the following reasons:
Farewell WFM and congratulations to Amazon for ruining a good thing.
When I frequented the Austin flagship, the hot bar had a pretty good selection of various items. There was pasta bar with a wide selection of pastas, lasagnas, etc.
Now my Whole Foods has maybe 5 or 6 trays of hot items. The same items over and over and basically over cooked veggies and airline level mystery meat in goo. Sigh. Why even bother?
If you come around dinner time, as in on the way home for work - many of the items are gone or obviously sitting around all day. The pizza is gone.
Keeping things in stock mystifies them. The tubes of nuts, granola have been empty for weeks. Told it is a supplier problem. Their lemon-lime soda disappeared. Bakery items are scarce.
Also very messy, the tubes are always dumped on the display. Paper towels in the restroom are consistently nonexistent. Yuk.
Wegman's can keep things in stock - take the hint.
I just purchased a small sheet cake for a colleague's birthday and I was surprised by the icing.
WF icing used to taste homemade, like butter and sugar and confectioner's sugar and vanilla. I loved to get cakes there because they didn't taste like a supermarket cake.
Now it tastes like store bought canned icing, which I could get at any other grocery store.
Because WF is part of the giant robot with chainsaws for arms that is Amazon.
Bye, good cakes!
It has been unavailable for weeks now and I love this bacon 😭
It used to be a special treat for me to buy at WF. The prices are outrageously high but I KNEW the quality was there so it made it alright. Not anymore. Also, the staff turnover is high. That's when you know things have turned to the dark side i.e. Amazon side. Amazon is a black hole where money and talent are sucked in, never to return. It lies to it's employees, haslighting them and the public. It is NOT an innovative, cool, hip corporation to work for and as a customer I am helping this beast grow.
i’m in dallas and considering to have a bouquet made at wholefoods for my private elopement. i’m completely clueless to how this kind of stuff works. is there a certain size or measurement i need to request for a bridal bouquet? obviously i want it to be full enough to look good on photos but also comfortably be carried in my hand for photos and as i stand etc.
Whole Foods used to have such a great bulk mushroom selection! The last time I was at my local store in Williamsburg, I only noticed packaged mushrooms and today I inquired about it only to find out that they’ve stopped carrying bulk mushrooms “because that’s what the store wants.” I really don’t want to be forced into paying $6 for three oyster mushrooms 😩. I worked for Whole Foods from 2011-2016 and have been a customer for ages and I feel like so many things have gone downhill since the Amazon takeover (esp the salad and hot food bar). Has anyone else experienced this at their local store?
I’ve always gotten the Thai crunch roll sushi roll that has shrimp and avocado in the middle, and some toppings. I got one today and there was cucumber in it. Since when was there cucumber??? Did I just never notice? I feel like I’m going crazy because the taste was very obvious and I don’t see how I would’ve missed it before. Totally ruined my experience.
Is the matcha at the Whole Foods cafe any good?
WTF/Lol (can’t decide to laugh or cry, probably a bit of both) specifically pointing out that we got a zero pennies refund for reusing a bag rather than taking a new one #JeffSpoiledEverything
For years 365 roasted peanuts were consistently delicious! The best healthy snack available in Whole Foods! But for the last 4 months or so, they've been much drier and less tasty. What has happened to the quality and how can they get it back again?
Is there anybody, maybe former butcher, know what the spice is that's used in the cowboy burger patties? There is a video on YouTube of an employee making it and says what it is but cannot for the life of me understand what he says.
I found out Whole Foods often has 50% off prepared foods that are at or close to their expiration date. When is the best days and times to find these deals? Many thanks.
The tiramisu recipe changed. It doesn’t taste as good as the one before. I feel like this lower quality food for same or higher price is their inflation strategy. I wish people stop buying it so they just bring back the old recipe. The old recipe looks messier and has more cream/mascarpone while the new one looks neater and has more sponge cake.
When things like this happen, I always remember that part in 1984 when they discovered real coffee still exists and only the powerful get to consume them. #surveillancecapitalism #surveillancepricing
Does anyone remember this soup that used to be at the hot bar years ago? Or I guess my question is does it still exist at the hot bars anywhere? I used to love this soup. I haven’t gone to whole foods in ages to check if they have it again. Does anyone else remember it, is it back, and if not does anyone have a recipe or any article even mentioning the soup?
Hey everyone!
Disclaimer I know that this is a long shot but I thought that I’d ask anyways😇
Does anyone have one of the Whole Foods Rewards Cards that they would be willing to send me? I want to add it to my rewards/loyalty card collection😊
For context: Whole Foods piloted a rewards card program between 2014 and 2017, though it was ultimately cancelled and has since moved onto other savings programs.
Last year I tried the 365 brand peanut butter cookie dough ice cream, one of the best ice creams I've ever had. For months I've been trying to find it again but it's not at any of the stores in my area! What the heck 😢😢 is there an explanation? Does anyone know if it's been discontinued or something?
Today I purchased a slice of the illustrious Whole Foods berry chantilly cake. Immediately, I noticed a change in the beloved slice. The delectable fresh fruit in the center had been replaced by a layer of jam, its fruit tossed to the side of the plastic container like a forgotten memory, fading away unnoticed— but not by me.
I called my local Whole Foods to inquire: was this change permanent? To my horror, the store representative (very nice guy btw) said yes! They have a new supplier, and will no longer carry the old recipe.
I’m curious, has this change hit your stores too, or is my local Whole Foods tormenting me specifically? I’ve included a picture of the old slice, but didn’t think to capture a picture of the new slice before it was gone.
With Amazon's takeover of whole foods alot has changed for employees and how the stores are run.
Sprouts stock has doubled over the past 10 years. Sprouts keeps opening up 35 to 40 stores per year across America.
Whole foods doesn't seem to be in nationwide growth mode like they once were.
I have noticed that Sprouts has better filet minougn steaks, better ground chicken breast and better advocados than whole foods.
Sprouts carries either boars head deli meats or dietz watson deli meats depending on the location. Sprouts has a well stocked deli case in the service deli.
Whole foods has a service deli case half empty.
Will erowen and Sprouts put whole foods out of bussiness??
Does anyone know why Whole Foods stopped carrying "Eat Pizza" frozen pizza (https://www.eatgreatpizza.com/)? The most superb frozen pizza and we are so bummed they stopped stocking it.
What time do they put this out in the prepared foods section? The one where u get a family pack and have to reheat.
Does anyone know how to use this? I am so baffled and not sure why I bought the product without asking but I’m blaming it on pregnancy brain.
It looks like it’s cooked or cured already, but was behind the counter with raw meat (not at the deli with sliced meats and sausages, etc), and the person behind the counter didn’t get clean gloves for it after getting my steak, so…I’m not sure what to do with it!
Yes, I do know I should have asked there, but now I’m staring the butcher paper down whenever I open my fridge.
I got the 90 day free trial for free delivery and 30 min pickups. Worked great for a couple of weeks then not so much. Can never get deliver in less than a full day and have to wait hours, not 30 minutes for pickup, as advertised. I will likely cancel after the free trial. Anyone else have better experiences ?
I haven’t been able to find this in months. Is this a seasonal thing? Or is this something that will never be coming back? Has anyone seen us in their Whole Foods?
For 9 years I have shopped at whole foods roosevelt sqaure seattle and Lynnwood,Washington.
One of my favorite products that whole foods sells is in store made fresh squeezed orange juice in the produce department.
There is nothing like unpasteurized in store made fresh squeezed orange juice.
Unfortunately overnight the whole foods in Lynnwood,Washington made a decision to discontinue making fresh squeezed orange juice in atore because their orange juice machine broke and management told me the customer that the company can't afford to fix the orange juice machine or replace the machine.
Whole foods lynnwood management told me to go to whole foods roosevelt sqaure seattle or whole foods bellevue,Washington where they still make in store made fresh squeezed orange juice.
The produce team leader told me a lie that across the whole region where whole foods lynnwood is located that the corporate office discontinued the in store fresh squeezed orange juice program.
The produce team leader told me whole foods lynnwood sells tropicana orange juice as well as 365 orange juice.
I then spoke to an assistant store team leader who told me the truth that the lynnwood,Washington orange juice machine broke and the company doesn't want to spend the money to replace or fix the broken fresh squeezed orange juice machine.
Also the lynnwood,Washington whole foods last year summer 2023 only ordered fresh wild caught halibut fridays and Saturdays only. While the roosevelt sqaure seattle and Bellevue,Washington store ordered halibut every day of the week except for sunday.
As of recently the fresh meat like steaks and ground beef at the lynnwood,Washington whole foods is brown and old looking. At the whole foods roosevelt sqaure seattle and Bellevue location the steaks and ground beef are always red and fresh looking.
When I visit my parents in Southern California the whole foods in woodland hills,California seems well run and has a steady stream of customers.
The whole foods woodland hills,California makes fresh squeezed orange juice every day and gets fresh wild caught halibut 6 days a week. The meat and ground beef at the woodland hills location is always red and fresh looking.
Also the lynnwood,Washington whole foods has tons of food expiring in one day and is price marked at 50 percent off.
The reason i like whole foods in Lynnwood,Washington so much is because the parking is great and it's the fastest and easiest whole foods to get to from my apartment.
Also not far from my parents house in Southern California whole foods closed a location in tarzana,California that had similar issues to the lynnwood,Washington store.
Is is possible whole foods will close their lynnwood,Washington store??
What I really want is to convince the head store manager and regional corporate to order halibut 6 days a week and to get the lynnwood manager or regional corporate to replace or fix the broken fresh squuezed orange juice machine.
We as whole foods customers have the power to vote with our wallets if we don't like how we are treated as customers or how a store is being poorly managed.
An store based in south Carolina called the fresh market which is expanding across the ccountry. All of the fresh market stores have machines in their produce department that make fresh squeezed in store made orange juice.
The fresh market stores also get halibut fresh wild caught all week long.
I wish the fresh market would open a store in Lynnwood,Washington.
In Lynnwood my only other grocery choices are safeway, trader joes, qfc and fred meyer.
In Southern California near where my parents live their is a grocery chain called gelsons. Gelsons gets fresh halibut 6 days a week and they make fresh squeezed orange juice in store in the produce department.
Unfortunately in the seattle area there is no gelsons.
In lynnwood,Washington there is a jamba juice that makes fresh squeezed orange to order. At jamba juice when you order a cup of fresh squeezed orange juice they make it right infront of you. Jamba juice actually uses the same zuminex machine that whole foods uses.
Unfortunately sprouts farmers market closed their lynnwood,Washington store 2 years ago.
If sprouts farmers market would open a new lynnwood,Washington location where the old bed nath beyond lynnwood was I would buy my fresh squeezed orange juice at jamba juice lynnwood,Washington and then do the rest of my shopping at sprouts.
Sprouts also gets fresh wild caught halibut every 6 days a week.
Also the whole foods lynnwood,Washington last week closed down their in store coffee bar. Whole foods roosevelt sqaure seattle and whole foods bellevue,Washington are keeping their in store coffee bars opened.
What worries me the most is whole foods lynnwood,Washington going out of bussiness!! Is this possible!!
