RULES

  1. We only accept high quality looping videos and gifs
    HQ is defined in this subreddit as a minimum width of 720 px (with a decent image quality).

  2. Direct links required
    No links to news articles, blogs or elsewher eon reddit. Preferred hosts are imgur or gfycat. Youtube is not permitted and reddit video player is garbage, avoid if possible.

  3. Submissions must be of naturally occurring weather events
    No CGI or content from scripted TV shows or movies. No "joke" submissions or humor allowed. This is a serious subreddit.

  4. Regarding Reposts
    Gifs submitted more than six months ago may be re-submitted if they're not in the top 50 of all time.. We reserve the right to remove any submission any any time. Please avoid common reposts.

  5. No compilation or vlog-type submissions.
    Multiple angles of the same weather event is acceptable, but general disaster or weather compilations are not.

  6. Be nice.
    This includes weather gatekeeping. Please follow proper reddiquette and site rules. Any racism or hate will result in an immediate ban.

Guidelines

  1. Submissions should focus on the event, not on people.
    People are going to be affected by what happens of course, but please keep human interest to a minimum.

  2. Please flair your posts.
    If you don't see a fitting flair, message the moderators and suggest a topic.

  3. Please add the location in the title.
    If it's known.

  4. Link to the video source in the comments.
    If it's known.
