Post Description:
All posts need to be descriptive, ESPECIALLY technical or compatibility issue submissions. Explain, in full detail, your specs like Operating System (Win7/Sierra/etc), Tablet/Cintiq (sku/model), Driver version, software, and cables you're using.
Post Title:
Use a descriptive post title. No one or two word sentences. Be clear and concise. Just saying, "what do I do??", (and anything similar) is not a good title. Its obvious why you're here, so avoid the word 'Help' and any exclamations/caps usage like "NEED HELP!"
Post Flair:
Use Flair to mark the title of your posts appropriately. i.e. - Problem, Question, News, etc. If you had a question or issue that was successfully answered, then please change the flair to "Solved".
Art Posts:
First, we try to keep this sub family friendly, so please avoid posting any nsfw art, and no meme/joke art.
Start your art post with a question, ask for critique, tell us what you struggled with, etc. Not engaging with the community will cause removal.
Self promotion is limited. If you make an Art Post spamming your socials in title and body, multi-sub posting, and too frequent advertising of your work/product, will result in removals.
Purchase Advice:
For product recommendations, please flair it as "Purchase Advise". And include exact tablet/cintiq models, instead of just saying "Wacom tablet".
Rant Posts:
We can all get frustrated sometimes, even at Wacom. You can ask for as much help as you want, but we don't make the changes at Wacom. Venting to this subreddit, with your negative opinions about Wacom, will literally do nothing. But if you present an issue that the community needs to hear about, then you can inform us in a calm manner. Ask for help, and we will try to do our best to help you.
(See also next rule.)
Be Polite:
Simple, don't be a jerk. Respect others, either the input they give, questions that might sound "stupid", or when they share their work. And be constructive when giving advice or correcting someone. Also, don't curse.
Say Thank You:
If someone solved your problem, don't just dip out. Let them know if it worked, say 'thank you', and give them an upvote!
No memes / meme templates. Its a slippery slope.

Have tried everything, suggested through Google searching. Thinking it might be the proprietary cable but wondering if anyone might have other suggestions before I spend the money.
Hi all, I've gotten a Wacom one (DTH134WOB) and trying to set it up with my laptop. Everything is working except that the Wacom screen won't display anything. It flashes red green and blue goes dark and then does it again. I can draw on the Wacom screen and it will appear on the laptop screen so it is connected, the wacom centre says to press the settings button, which I've done but it won't do anything. It’s actually driving me insane I’ve tried everything and nothing is working :-( for some reason the display works when I connect it to my IPad but not then the pen doesn’t work.
System Info: Wacom Intuos Pro Medium (purchased in 2023 or 2024) with 2020 MacBook Pro with M1 running OS 14.4.1.
I've been using Wacom Tablets since about 2012. They're great.
I started out with an Intuos Medium and used it for over 10 years. I would say that I used it without issue, but the Wacom drivers have ALWAYS given me issues, but that's a different story.
Anyway, I recently replaced my old Intuos Medum with a new one, which, came with wireless functionality via Bluetooth. "Cool", I thought. I wasn't planning on using it wirelessly, but hey, that could be cool, right?
Unfortunately, there's a little lag/latency. I would estimate that the latency is between 100ms-200ms. It's honestly not that much. But as a central artistic/design tool, latency is critical, so this, while usable, is noticeable enough to make me NOT want to use it wirelessly whenever possible.
But here's the thing—my wireless mouse that I use most of the time, which is what I switch from when I use my tablet, has ZERO perceivable latency. I use an expensive premium mouse, but even cheap wireless mice have no perceivable latency. And I realize that there are other dimensions of data that need to be transmitted like pen pressure and whether or not the pen tip is touching the tablet surface, but it's 2024 and Wacom is supposed to be the leader in the space. So why the lag?
Anyway, when searching Google for Wacom Intuos Pro Bluetooth latency, I come across a bunch of posts of people asking about the issue and then I see an article on Wacom's website about optimizing Bluetooth performance—which is cool, accept that no where is there any mention of specs regarding optimal wireless performance. Specifically, what is the minimum latency, in milliseconds, that the device is cable of operating reliably at? Is it 10ms? 20ms? 40ms? 100ms?
That would really help to know because then we could have a target to aim for when we embark on the quest to "optimize" our systems and the product. Otherwise, we have no idea how well our setup is performing our when we should consider our optimization effort "done".
This is probably considered within the company as a luxury feature or a "nice to have", but it could really make the user experience a lot better if there were no perceivable lag like there is when the device is plugged in via USB. Would it have a big impact on sales? Honestly, probably not. And that's probably why it's not a huge priority, but....
At least let us know what the minimum achievable latency of the device is under optimal conditions. Pretty please. Be nice. I know there are a bazillion different hardware and software environments out there, but if Wacom could just put a little number or range in there like, 20ms-60ms, that would help. Hopefully, it's not posted on the box or something and I just didn't notice. My apologies if that's the case.
In the digital audio/music production space this is common practice. We're constantly aware of what our system latency is and how various hardware and software configurations and apps effect that latency. Especially if we're musicians and we're playing instruments like MIDI keyboards or putting effects on things like guitars or vocals as we're performing or recording.
Has anyone been able to get their tablets to work wirelessly without any perceivable lag, like sub 60ms? I know that perception is subjective, so I'd prefer to hear from people who have an idea of what the difference between something like 20ms and 100ms of latency feels like.
Thanks for listening and thanks, Wacom, for making a stellar product!
My husband has degrees in engineering, industrial design, and human centered-design. He's currently working on a tool design for himself, but he also does consulting. He doesn't have a tablet, he does his work on a desktop (I have no idea what he uses, but he definitely doesn't have anything portable). He also has a strong preference for android and non-apple products.
I know absolutely nothing about the hardware and software, but it seems a lot of industrial designers use Wacom products and they are well reviewed. I've read through the comments and suggestions from people who use their tablets for industrial design and have settled on the Cintiq 16 non pro or the Movink as reasonable options, but I'm open to any suggestions you guys have. I don't really have a budget, I just want to get him something that he will be able to grow into and that he can take with him while consulting.
Thank you for any and all suggestions!
I could purchase it on Amazon if it was used for about 386€ which I think is a really good price given that it is usually wayyyyy more expensive (even if unused, at 600€, I wouldn't mind buying it). I’m a little hesitant because I’d prefer something I can use completely independently from my PC, but it's alright in the end (if anyone has another recommendation, though, I wouldn't mind checking it out.). I’d also really appreciate any outside opinions, as I’m still not entirely sure.
After watching + reading a few reviews, the Wacom Bamboo Slate seems pretty good for me, though none of them mentioned if you can use different pens, nor if the one that comes with it is erasable. If you can use your own erasable pen, will the app detect and change accordingly if you erased on the paper?

There is the LG gram 16 2 in 1 but it seems like it would be more reflective + worse pen?
I've been thinking about buying a Wacom Tablet (I don't know which yet), but I also want to be able to do other stuff than drawing on it, but I'm not sure if that's even possible.
Nothing unusual happened before this, but when i started drawing again, the tip didn't seem to actually draw even when I touched the screen. the controls on the side works, drawing and tapping with my mouse works, and hovering over the screen also works. but the pen tip and eraser on the back seems to be malfunctioning. any suggestions on how to fix this? I've tried reopening the wacom board.

I dont have much time to mod this subreddit anymore, but we (I) have been getting more messages about posts being filtered/removed. If you believe you've followed all these subreddit rules but still got your post removed, it might not have been our automod.
Reddits filters seem more sensitive lately, and they could be the culprit. 9/10 its due to an uncommon link in the post. Not just sketchy sites, but almost anything thats not imgur. Amazon links are almost a 50/50 if they get flagged, and reddit doesnt always give a reason for it. Sometimes they flag posts as potential spam, sometimes even with no links in the post. Sometimes its because your account doesnt have enough Karma, also to reduce bot spamming.
If we can fix this more on our end, Im not sure what else I can do with the limited knowledge of mod tools I have. Just keep this in mind and I apologize if I cant get to every post thats filtered in our queue. Also when you message about your post being removed, send a link to it so we dont have to go to your profile page to find it in your post history. Thank you.
It worked perfectly fine yesterday but it doesn't want to today.

I've been restarting the MSP, the computer and unplugging the cables for 2 hours and it still doesn't work.
Instead of connecting to the computer as a display, it turns on as a stand-alone computer.
I am connecting it via USB-C. I do not have the Wacom Link adaptor. By the time I realized I would need it, it wasn't sold anywhere anymore, not even second hand.
And I am connecting it via the middle port on the MSP.
The closest I got to it working was one time it connected as a drawing tablet but without the display.
This is on a brand new computer with a brand new cable. Yesterday was the first time I connected it and it worked from the get go.
The Wacom drivers are up-to-date but it won't see it as a display in the first place.
Windows is up-to-date too and as far as I know there have been no updates between yesterday and now.
Thank you...
I have a Cintiq 13HD that the 3-in-1 cable broke to, I did have a backup cable on hand but when I went to see if I could buy another backup cable it looks like that dupes aren't even being made anymore?
What keeps coming up whenever I try to search for this cable is the cable for the Cintiq 16, looking at the photos it looks like the only thing different is the plug for the power adapter. I'm wondering if this cable could be made to fit the Cintiq 13HD if the correct power adapter was used?

Hi there,
I'm writing on this subreddit to hopefully get a more "grassroots"-opinion on my very old Wacom Intuous 5 Toch (size Large), which I bought many, many years ago.
Comically enough, I've barely used it, haha! :-) Still, I do wish to own a "drawing device" for my PC, and so I recently unpacked it to try it out once again.
The reason for why I haven't used it much at all is multifold. It's difficult to explian shortly in an OP, but suffice it to say, it's really not because I don't enjoy drawing.
Unfortunately for me, I think the large size is simply too large. It's hard to describe, but I hate having to move my entire arm over the entire tablet in order to touch the right spot where I want to draw. I currently use a 1440p 27" monitor, so maybe that has something to do with it (?).
Since I feel the "large"-size to be too large, and since it's such an old tablet, I just wanted to ask the community how this old model holds up to the modern ones?
How much of a difference is there from a purely technical standpoint?
Also, I've heard that replacement-nibs for the PTH-850/K no longer exists, which is obviously a huge negative for my model (I'm quite irate at Wacom for doing this, even if there's been a decade since I bought the tablet. There should be an option to buy the older nibs, even at a higher price than newer nibs).
Do you think I should keep the PTH-850/K until the nib is ruined, or should I sell it second-hand and buy a new model?
If you'd recommend me to sell it second-hand (I figure this will be a good option, since it's barely used), how much do you think is reasonable to ask for it in regards to a pricepoint?
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards

I like the pen tablets more than the pen displays. I saw the last iteration of intuos pro tablets have been released in 2017. This is rather a long time ago and im looking to buy a new big pen tablet but paying 500 dollars for the same product that is now 7 almost 8 years old is pretty crazy. Is there any news of a new generation of intuos pen tablets?
Heya everyone, just a short question about the movink 13 for those who have used it for a bit now:
How does the screen feel, say, compared to an Intuos Pro and an iPad (with and without Paperlike Screen protectors). Also, the last time I used an Intuos Pro, I was a bit shocked how quickly it scratched. I know, this is to be expected (almost like a wear-in phase) and does not degrade the drawing experience, but it was still a bit unsettling. I also found the Intuos Pro a bit too "scratchy", I prefer a bit of a smoother feel. The Paperlike on an iPad has been the closest to my preferred feel for a drawing surface. Anyways, would love to hear about the experience you had with the movink (I would be planning to use it with my macbook, don't think that matters but maybe there are some mac-related issues you came across too).
I have one year with my tablet. And suddenly my PC doesn't detect it. The screen of the tabled works but the pen is not registered.
From the control panel the message is that there is no tablet detected.
I would think that maybe the connectic cable from behind got damaged (im left handed, so the cord is bent pretty tighly) but I would also think that if the cable is damaged the tablet wouldn't even turn on.
Anyways, I've reset the drivers, uninstall and intalled again. I'm getting used to the idea that I may need a replacement cable and/or pen and hope that one of those is the solution.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Gracias!
so i had an intuos like the little tablets with no screens (wish i could say exactly what model right now but i didn't buy it or anything so ill ask later T__T) (also im on windows 10) and it worked perfectly fine for about 5 years until i ran into this problem and couldn't find a way to fix it (uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, tried many dif programs, windows ink, restarted everything, different pens and different nibs) or anyone else with the issue so i got a new tablet and for a couple months it's been fine but now it's doing it again and i'm not sure what to do :( every few strokes (with every brush in every program) it just gets really tiny like in the screenshot and i'm just not sure what to do with it!! i don't know if it's maybe a computer problem or??
I want to start learning how to do more digital art, but I've been having an issue where my curves will go straight because my hand drags on the tablet. My tablet doesn't have a display or anything. Is this just a skill issue or does someone know something I could do to help stop this?
I'm on Windows 11 and use the Intuos S Bluetooth. I did update the driver to 6.4.7-3, but I still have the same problem. My pen has started to malfunction and I'm not sure why. Holding down to make a line would produce a single dot and nothing else as I am still dragging my pen. When it does work, sometimes it would create this feathered effect of the brush. This tablet is fairly new too (I got it 4 months ago).
I recently purchased a Wacom Cintiq Pro 13, which came with (forgive my phrasing) the power adapter box thing, and the tablet itself obviously, but no cables. I personally own a few USB-C cables, as well as an hdmi cable. At this point, I can give it power, and I can get it to work as a touchscreen, however I cant get it to display as it simply says “No signal”, and enters power saving mode soon after. Can someone tell me what it is I’m missing, or what it is Im doing wrong? I downloaded the needed software and drivers, and am assuming the issues is with the cables (or lack thereof) that I’m using.
I've got the version that contains double ubc c to usb c. I need to connect my Waom One 12 via hdmi so was hoping there is a third party cable that can go straight from the usb c port on the wacom into an hdmi
Hey, i bought a Wacom CTH 480 off of ebay and it said it was open box, but never used. But the pencil holder looked different than all the other ones. right now it’s currently at the ebay international hub. here’s a screenshot.
Title. It was working fine less than a month ago. I tried reinstalling drivers as well. Alsk tried on different computers. goes into no signal detected then power saving mode. Pls help i have to do my assignments with this thing…
I am on Mac and my model number is DTK 2420
I also tried a DP cable but it says the same thing
I just picked up my husband's wacom tablet and I love it. When changing the nib for the first time, I used this one. This is the most buttery smooth, perfect pen nib I've ever used. Please tell me where I can find more of them. I looked up felt tipped nibs but had no luck. The other felt nibs (the full felt ones) don't feel as good as this one. Thank you!
Edit - I forgot to include, it's for an Intuos Tablet Pro.
Hello! This is a bit of an odd request, but haven’t been able to find anything helpful through google so decided to shoot my shot here. I have a Cintiq 22HD, I recently moved houses and after unpacking realised that I’m missing a cord. On top of that, I moved back to my home country where we don’t have Wacom sellers and delivery would cost me about as much as a new Cintiq. The cords I do have are the power cord and the HDMI, please help me identify the missing one so I could try and find a replacement somewhere. Thank you in advance!
{TLDR} Has anyone had a Movink they've regularly used for a while?? What's your burn-in experience??
{Extended info} I'm looking at getting either a Movink or One Touch 13, got to test both out at Lightbox this past weekend & have mixed feelings due to Movink being OLED screen. I was looking through online forms trying to find out what generation OLED it is because burn-in time varies greatly due to that. I'm trying to gague if it's just better to purchase LED because of that, I draw probably min 20 hours a week & really only use Clip Studio Paint ((with large toolbars I always keep open)) + a couple other 3D programs, I intend to use the tablet for 5 years before I get another one, so burn-in is a huge cost factor for me.
