Im looking for a v twin cruiser that i havnt had yet, ive had kawasaki, yamaha, honda, and a harley. I've never hard good or bad about victorys.
Are they reliable? Are they expensive? Do they have enough umph to get out of their own way if need be? Are they worth getting one and fixing it up?
If I should get one, what model/years should I go after/avoid?
Trying to put new belt on 03 vegas cand adjust belt tensioner help asap
Recently was passed down this beauty... #001 with 5k miles signed by both arlen and cory.
Curious what you guys might think I'll be expecting from the inspection, I bought the bike sitting in a climate controlled barn last singer, the tires still had the little injection molding string things on it. Been riding it a year and it's been awesome, but I read that after tires are 5 years old you should consider getting new ones... these were 11 years old so I saved some money and took it in I also asked them to do a thorough inspection, the guy at the shop is very kind, said they'll took a look at the fluid and such but he was betting since the hydraulic fluids were sitting so long it may need to be flushed.
Sat in the garage for 10 years. Pristine condition. The shop is closed today waiting for tomorrow to hear from them
Hey everyone I was looking for a LED headlight for my victory octane has anyone installed any or have any recommendations for what led light?
I have a 2015 victory gunner and i noticed a kind of ticking sound while riding, anyone have this happen to them or any advice
Hello everybody. I’m having just a couple issues with my baby. I have a 2008 Victory Vision Tour, she has the 106. I recently did an oil change, rode her to and back from work for a week or so. Then I took her from Salt Lake to St George, Utah. Everything was great on the ride, no issues. However, as I was getting off the exit into St George, she refused to shift and stayed in 6th. After stomping on and lifting the shifter frantically, the shifter linkage broke at the lever to linkage connection. I was able to go through an intersection and promptly stopped but couldn’t go much further. I had to rev hard a drop the clutch to even get across the intersection. I got the bike towed to a safe place and ordered the necessary part. I installed the part and it will barely shift between gears, if at all and the clutch will barely engage. It can be in gear with the clutch completely out and only barely roll forward. Looking for some advice before I pull the trans apart. Thank you for your time
My baby. 106 Victory Pistons. Lloydz – Cams, Torque Tubes, Timing Wheel, Idle AIT valve. Bassani shorty.
I’m not sure if this question has been asked or not but I am in the process of finding myself a victory jackpot. My question though, is there much of a difference between the 100/6 speed combo and the 106/6 speed combo? Thanks!
Got a pretty good deal on this because it idles poorly. Seller claimed it was dirty throttle bodies, but I knew it was probably a cracked TB adapter, which I just confirmed today with a shot of starting fluid. I also replaced the fuel line, and taped up a crack in the pcv hose. Seller also claimed it was "stage 2" but had the stock exhaust put back on. I doubt it. I don't see a tuner. Anyone know how to tell if it has cams? Not a big deal either way. I didn't buy this to go fast. In fact, the opposite is true. Several family members recently got bikes (an 883 sportster and a Ryker 900) so I had to get something easier to ride slowly than my Honda Blackbird so they can keep up.
Ok fellas. I’m in south east az. I’m gonna be looking to get rings done in my hardball. I can feel a difference in the exhaust impulse on each head. I have true dual exhaust. I checked the dipstick and yup. I’m gonna be looking for a shop to do it. I don’t have the tools to do this I’m sure on my own. Any of you guys in Arizona and know of a good spot to do the job? I may wait until February and gather stuff to do everything. Carriers, valves. Timing chains. Everything I can afford to get from here to then. I just need to get a solid estimate on the job to get cash together with some overtime and bonuses. What you got?? It’s a 13 hardball. And I’ve got plenty I can work on from now till February. I’m still gonna ride it. But it’s gonna need done. Bike has 75k miles on it.
The video shows what’s going on, but my bike isn’t showing RPM, temp, gear etc. Neutral light is out. I have replaced the tail light, hoping this would fix it (had some spliced wires and was generally in bad shape). I’ve pulled and cleaned the ignition contacts, cluster pin and the kill switch. I’m stumped. I’ve left the battery unhooked overnight. Any ideas?
Looking to get the highball logo embroidered on my seat, anyone have a clean image of the logo that looks like the front of a train? Like the one at the top of this picture.
I test rode a highball today. It only had rear blinkers (guy said previous owner removed them). I noticed on the cluster when I would use the blinker, both indicators on the cluster would flash together. I checked and the rear blinkers were working correctly. Is the cluster confusion happening because the front signals were removed?
Going to check out a 15 Highball this weekend. From what I’ve researched, the inner gas tank lining seems to be a fairly common issue? What’s the best way to check for this?
I have a 2014 Victory Hammer 8-ball and I am trying to figure out why my fuse for the headlight an tail light is popping. I recently put new rear turn signals on and when I went to look under the fender, there was 2 ground wires. I tried using one ground at the time to connect and both worked, but sadly still popped the fuse both times. Any advice?
So I just bought a 2014 cross country. I love the bike already but there's 3 things I'd like to change and then I'm set. I've been on several sites but not really finding anything that works for me. So, I'm looking for the following:
Exhaust slip ons that sound better than stock
Slight rise handlebars like...12in apes comparison.
Backrest for passenger.
Any help would greatly be appreciated!
Last ride to Foresthill, CA
Just recently purchased a 2005 Victory Vegas and I’m having an issue with it. When you let go of the bar the front immediately goes right. My dad’s 2007 kingpin and my Yamaha 650 go straight when you let go. We went to the dealership and told them the issue. They said our alignment was fine and showed us how to adjust the alignment. We got brand new tires. We have been messing with the alignment little by little but it keeps doing it. Any suggestions?
Hey everyone, made a post here about 3 weeks ago about looking into buying this bike, and I went and did it! Very happy with my purchased, just wanted to ask about some recommended sites to research parts should I want to/need to change anything.
Was going to ask about handlebars, the current bars aren't the best fit for me, is FMB probably my best option brand wise? Was looking at their apes/mini apes called mayhem bars, i'm about 5"10, don't have crazy long arms, wouldn't mind some good pullback and height, but nothing insanely tall. I naturally like being in a more relaxed, rested position.
Wanted some recommendations for grips as well? Just some overall nice grips for reducing vibration.
Open to any suggestions or any pointers to spots where I can get some cool parts.
Thanks again!
