What is the best way to support the league (USL SL)?
I don't have a favorite club, the closet one to me is around a four hour drive (one way) and there is not one of the future clubs that's close to me or do I see my city getting one anytime soon or ever. But I still do like watching the league. Besides of course going to the games and watching them on TV. What's the best way to support the league? Is it to buy something and what and from where? I do wish that the USL SL website had a shop and you could buy apparel or things dedicated to the league in general and not always related to a specific club.

This thread will discuss all USL Super League matches for the current week.
If you would like a dedicated match thread for a match, send a message to u/MatchThreadder using this link. Replace the Home and Away placeholders with the respective teams & change the subreddit name from r/uslpro to r/uslsuperleague, or find the ESPN page for the match and replace "Home vs Away" with the game ID at the end of the URL.

VAR Study
It would be fascinating if U.S. Soccer conducted a study on how the introduction of VAR might impact the quality of officiating in matches without it. Both the USLS and the NWSL draw from the same pool of referees, yet we’ve seen instances where critical calls—like whether a goal crossed the line or a penalty should be awarded—have been missed. As a former referee, I understand that mistakes are part of the game, and without VAR, assistant referees have to make quick offside calls. However, now that VAR exists, referees might be more cautious in matches with review, knowing that close plays can be scrutinized. But in matches without VAR, there’s no such safety net. It would be valuable to explore whether officiating has changed as a result.
