What are your thoughts on the mental health support given to prisoners?

Are you a current prisoner or did you use to be?

I would love to hear your voice. I am conducting a survey that gauges your opinions on the mental health support and services made available to prisoners, for my dissertation. You do not need to have access the services to take part. It is important for us to know that you are satisfied with the level of support you were aware of and received, and also what you identified as areas of improvement.

This survey takes less than 10 minutes and will go towards informing us on whether the services provided so far are effectual and appropriate to the service users.

If you are interested in sharing your thoughts, please click on the link below:

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me privately or in the comments below. Thank you!

Hi everyone,

I am looking for people who are knowledgeable/experienced or have a keen interest in mental healthcare inside prisons to take part in a quick 5 minute survey for my dissertation.

In light of the mental health crisis inside our prisons, this survey focuses on current attitudes and opinions towards artificial intelligence as a mental healthcare tool inside prisons. If any of you are interested please click the survey link below. I would be very grateful, thank you :)

Invitation for participants

I am looking out for volunteer. May I ask your favour to see if you or anyone of your network could possibly help with an online audio interview? This is an informal interview, hoping to share some personal views. I am very much appreciated if anyone of you could help to share some views .

If you are working in a UK prison for 3 years+, you might be able to help! Inclusion criteria has been lowered, your help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Fiancé may be sent to prison

Hello, I’d like to ask a question but I want to preface this with I want hypothetical help so I’m prepared if he does go under - and the charge he has isn’t relevant to my question.

My fiancé might be going to prison for just less than 10 years, I am 21F and he is 20M. I don’t want to appear selfish as this is a conversation me and him have actually had but obviously we don’t know the law system. But, we are worried how I will look after myself when he is gone, i have a lot of mental health issues and he’s been my rock and saviour for almost 2 years as sort of my unofficial carer because I was not deemed ill enough for it to be official. I will be quite alone if he is gone, I cannot live with my mum because she is toxic, and I don’t think my grandparents will like me much because I haven’t told them what he’s going away for yet.

Does anyone have any tips (not break-up, I’m done with relationships, so I will be with him till death) or advice on how to get through this?

Dint know where else to put this. Question for people in the UK. How hard is it to get a job with a crinimal record? And how does it effect your day to day life?
