Does anyone have any experience with this? How many do they accept? Any tips?
I am planning on going to the SEC championship this weekend with a few friends. I’ve never been to a game in Mercedes Benz and wondering what is the best way to park/ get to the stadium. Also curious about what tailgating looks like. Thank you so much in advance!
does uga college of pharmacy still offer the smoking cessation program with medication and counseling? if not does anyone know any resources in athens? i keep getting sick and i am just done with smoking. the text services are no help. uga’s well being resources are just so difficult to navigate so any help is appreciated. thanks!
I see it says “includes summer” for Busbee, McWhorter, Rooker, and Vandiver, but i was just wondering if it’s required or you can choose whether or not you stay for summer. thank you! :)
What are the chances that people drop PE during add/drop week. Im a senior graduating in May and am on the waitlist for two different ones right now but I'm really scared that no one's gonna drop them since it's a graduation requirement. One of them has 16 people on the the waitlist and the other has 14. Should I wait until add/drop or email my advisor?
I found a dorm key outside on the sidewalk and wanted to know where I can return to so the owner can get it back.
Between BDM and Brumby, which is more social? I got in early action for fall 2025 and I've been looking into the dorms at UGA. Out of all of the high rises I like BDM and Brumby the most. I like the dorm rooms at BDM more, but I've heard that Brumby is better socially. Any thoughts on this or other advice dorm wise? (I'm very new to all this lol)
asking bc uga is way more competitive and in a city u can network more
Hey y’all. I’m a spring admit coming in spring 2025 to UGA. I didn’t pass any of my AP exams lmao. The orientation for me is later this week. Would I have to take a math placement test to try to exempt any math courses? And would I also have to do an english placement test as well? Does these tests have to be done before registering for classes?
And anyone who took the math or english placement test in the past, please let me know how it was and what we have to know? Thanks
I’m currently a senior in HS and am planning on transferring into UGA after a few years at a closer, less expensive school. I currently have three options: KSU, GSU, or GSU Perimeter. I’d prefer to go to permitter then transfer to UGA since it’s less expensive and closer to home (15 minute commute). GSU, on the other hand, is a 1 hour commute, and so is KSU. So, does it matter which one of these I choose as far as transfers go? Would I be better off paying a little more and commuting more to ensure I go to GSU and KSU, or does the perimeter college work fine? I’m also planning on working and living at home so that’s why I prefer perimeter.
Pathway as a biomedical engineer trying to double major in psychology. I am trying to go to medical school for psychiatry. Biomedical engineering is just my plan b if psychiatry doesn’t work out, and I do know GT is better than UGA for engineering. Except if I’m focusing on psychology/medical school should I just stick around a bit more?
I can’t believe such cruelty would happen to an innocent person. It’s not just any random person on the street, but a 22 year old who was selfless and had a whole life in front of her. She was stated to be a kind hearted person whom everyone liked. Yet, it had to be torn from this world. I just wish I was there to prevent it. Even though it’s dangerous, I still think that it would have made a difference. I can’t get over something like this. Like nobody was there and seeing her on the street footage run towards her doom, I can’t unsee it :(
Hey guys, I'm an international student interested to apply to University of Georgia for fall 2025. I'm planning to do masters in computer science. But I'm unable to understand the tuition fee for it. Can anyone who's currently doing this course help me with their knowledge of tuition fee? I would be grateful. Thanks
This is super bad timing lmao after last night, but on a real note, I am a freshman at UGA in EE. I don’t have conditional or anything but am planning on transferring to tech for engineering but have very recently started to really think about. I plan on going to grad school for EE with GT being the top of that list for grad school. Should I stay at UGA for undergrad (and enjoy my life) and then apply and hopefully go to GT for grad school, or move to tech now and take the home field advantage for undergrad and then grad at GT. I’m trying to think very long term in regard to career. And how hard would it be to go to GT for grad school?
Anyone else notice the band was much quieter this game just like Tennessee? I thought it got better for UMASS but I barely heard them play last night. What’s up with that?
Hi all. I'm currently applying for an internship abroad in germany for next summer, and the program specifically requires that you have further undergrad coursework to complete after the internship (ie you can't be a senior). In order to confirm this, they have you submit a certificate of enrollment that shows the anticipated graduation date so they can prove i'm not a senior. I got the certificate from the 3rd party site "national student clearinghouse" but it does not include an anticipated grad date. and i have searched EVERYWHERE. every corner of Athena, eLC, degreeworks, etc. Can't find it anywhere. I remember that degreeworks used to show this date (and my date is May 2026) but i literally cannot find it anywhere, and the internship application requires it. Any ideas on what to do? anyone know where to find proof of this date?
The rivalry clearly got reignited last night and the new generation of Georgia fans will finally realize that this game is on the same par as the Alabama games or the Tennessee games.
But the outdated insults are frankly pathetic from GT. They take UGA from long ago and still apply it today. You would think these people would come up with more creative insults but it’s the same typical ad hominems.
A lot of us have the same jobs as GT grads, make the same money, something that my co workers who had been shit talking all week couldn’t fathom is that a lot of students chose UGA over GT even for things like STEM (me included for CS)
That being said I think we need some better insults. Calling them “nerds” is kinda pathetic as well I think
The rivalry is better with creative back and forth
Does anyone know of a movie theater around town or if the Tate theater will let you play a single video from your laptop in it? I'm fine with paying a small fee but preferring not to spend a ton to play one video - it's a short video too, like 16 seconds long, but I just need it on a huge screen to record it on said big screen.
Eight overtime’s is the craziest game I’ve seen in a long time. A lot of emotions. Glad to see the dawgs pull it off.
Would it be weird to bring a blanket to the student section?
I recently got accepted into UGA (I'm super excited!!!), and I was wondering, what is life like for queer people on campus? I have heard mixed things from friends and acquaintances so I thought I would just ask the community outright. I saw a few LGBT+ groups on campus, and they seem very nice (I'm really interested in OSTEM though so if any of you have info on that club it'd be much appreciated!!)
hey guys! first-year bio major here. i was wondering, i’ve been considering double majoring in anthropology as well (am currently pre-health). i am aware that adding another major means having more required classes to take in order to graduate with that major. however, in my situation, am i required to take anthropology-related courses in the spring because i added it as an additional major? i know not doing so may lengthen my time in college but i really want to take it easy next semester since i will be taking gen chem 1 and precalc so i want to focus on those classes.
Can me and my parents sit with each other during the tech game. I have a student ticket and they have a ticket that’s section 103
Hey guys! I got admitted to UGA and the honors college from early application (this past Friday) as a CS major. Does anyone have tips for CS majors/stories at UGA?
Also, how is the honors college at UGA? (Perks, experiences, etc.)?
For people who took accounting 2 and 1 at uga how much more difficult was accounting 2 at uga? I'm ending with an A in accounting 1 at uga and was wondering how much more difficult it would be here for accounting 2 as some people have told me it would be harder.
Hey y’all. Quick question. At UGA, is it possible for like sophomores or juniors to get single rooms meaning without a roommate? I heard they prioritize these rooms for ones with disabilities but is that true? Is it possible at all to get a single room with bath or community bath?
