How crowded is the src gym at around 8 pm?
Just a swing in the dark, wondering if there’s anyone that want to study together and help each other out, maybe just testing each other on knowledge or see how deep we understand the content

Wbu?
I am looking to join a team for gladiator for the afternoon slot.
Anyone has any free spots or down to form a team?
I signed up for it but they didn't get enough people to form a team so couldn't register :(

I’m wondering who’s responsible for this. I have visited the advising office a few times and I found that they don’t count my credits very well and often informed me that I needed to take more courses than I need.
I have measured my credits myself and I think the advice they gave me was wrong. I think they did not count the extra classes I took previously into meeting my requirement this year, and told me to take more classes than I need this year.
Do they do the same thing while evaluating if I can graduate too? I just feel they did not look at my history. Should I listen to them? Or just trust my measurement?
I overheard some kids talking about how my neighbour was giving out full size Coffee Crisps for Halloween, so I wanted to get marking done with and go trick or treating to my neighbour’s. I didn’t want it to look like I didn’t read the student’s work so I threw in some 0.5s and scattered some checkmarks, but I just realized that the paper was upside down. I already handed it back to him, am I going to get in trouble for this?
Do they mean the money saved via pensions, or the amount paid for pensions?
Quick Rant: I get it, its Friday night and people want to party. But seriously, setting off fireworks at 2am? Its so loud it sounded like gunshots cuz I live near it. If you're reading this please have some decency, wasn't Halloween and Diwali like Oct 31 and not Nov 1? and by law don't you need a permit to use fireworks here in van? My bad if I'm misunderstanding something but ppl r trying to sleep at this time.
I think it just slipped out of my pocket. Also, I’m a first year student living on residence with a meal plan. How can I access my meal plan in the mean time?
Next year winter I won't be in Vancouver and only 1 online course to graduate. Do I still need to pay all these fees?
I think upass and insurance can opt-out, but what about others, any reference will be appreciated about how part time term pay the student fees.
Thank you!!
As title. Maybe I need to get some coins if that's the case
1.5 months worth of lecture recordings in 3 classes (cal3, chem, cs) while doing leetcode on the side. Been “I’ll start tmr” for the past 4 weeks. Tests and 2 tech interviews next week. Hopefully I’ll survive. Hurrayyyy
What is going on? I’m in Building 5 and our fire alarms went off and now a fire truck is pulling in. I don’t see or sense any fire, so did someone pull the alarm as a joke or something?
Can I borrow books from the library as a non-student? Thank you
In snapchat you can add your college but for ubc there are two options:
University of British Columbia and The University of British Columbia
Does anyone know which one is the main one???
This needs way more attention than it’s getting:
Hello all,
I'm moving (weird circumstances have lead to this timing) and I'm losing my mind. I literally cannot afford to buy new furniture. I turned to FB marketplace, reddit and craigslist but I also don't have access to a large car to transport things. And DAMN Vancouver mover prices are insane. My roommates keep telling me to "just get things delivered" which is kind of frustrating because they know I'm living paycheck to paycheck right now. I'm kind of reaching my wits end here. What would you guys do in this situation? I'm trying to find service-for-service type things (I'm pretty good at cooking and strong enough to lift shit) but it's been tough. I'm starting to come to terms with the fact I probably just wont have furniture and making peace with that. What do yall think though
Honestly, i totally don't understand why is lining up so hard. Is people at ubc rexxxxed to a point that they can't line up properly? Specially in rainly days where people will kind of line up a bit more messy, there is always some jerks jumping queues. 🤡🤡🤡
Clarify based on comment: i am commenting on the action that people not lining up for the rear door just standing around and then just squeeze in when the bus arrive. Its completely valid and make more sense to go to front and middle door cause there is less people
Plus: F u translink. No R4 for about 40 mins, there were about 3 49s, 5 99s, 2/3 25s, 1 68, 1 84. There were all buses but no R4. They even used the usual bus type for R4 as 99 while there were already lots of 99 and no R4. What a joke. 🤡🤡🤡
How did you study? I am used to taking science courses (bio, chem, etc….) but am not that familiar with political science classes. Did the textbook really help at all?
I love cubby desks (like the ones in Koerner basement) but the ones I know of are all in buildings that kick you out at a certain time. Does anyone know where I can find some cubby desks (preferably with outlets) on campus in a building that doesnt kick you out at night? I have overnight card access to some engineering buildings if that helps.
It’s commendable. You are academic weapons.
Any tips or advice for how to study for bio/micb courses (Micb 211 and Biol 200 in particular)? Istg even when I try the hardest I can never get above 75 in exams for these courses, compared to chem or math where I can easily get a much better grade. I am not even sure what Im doing wrong? Any advice/help is appreciated!
Does anyone have anki card decks for bioc 202? Midterm 2 is coming up and I’d like to keep my marks where they are….
Does anyone want to form a group for hackcamp next week? I got in ^-^ but I don't know anyone going so I'm a little nervous.
