One of my friends sent me this and asked if I'd come across the theory before - they do not believe it fyi. Ironic how they've actually proven it is Titanic at the bottom of the Atlantic (for those not so familiar, Titanic's A Deck promenade was enclosed after feedback from Olympic's early days), simply mislabelled the pictures of the ships. I'm convinced these people are getting dumber/lazier.
Thought it would give like-minded Titanic nuts a laugh 😊
When Titanic broke up, Did any of her lights remain on?
I was wondering where this photo had been taken and who it may have been signed by and what it says?
Okay maybe this is a dumb question but I hve heard so much different info and I was wondering for the correct answer. When was the ship actually descibed as unsinkable and not jut nearly unsinkable. Some say when it was flaoting, some say with the movie some say in the 50s. I am just very curious lol.
For my birthday I was planning on having a Titanic themed party, now should the cake be Titanic shaped, iceberg shaped or them two together?
Posting this in response to the post made earlier today about James Cameron and Bill Paxton exploring the Titanic on 9/11. It was actually James Cameron and maritime artist Ken Marschall who were exploring the wreck that day, Bill Paxton was the one that broke the news to them when they resurfaced.
This is the entire clip from that scene, including extended commentary from the crew comparing the tragedy of 9/11 to the Titanic. This is from the 2003 documentary ‘Ghosts of the Abyss’, and if you’re at all interested in the wreck I highly recommend it!
What is the thirt class bed size.
Why is this song almost always associated with HMHS britanic? It has similar association to “My heart will go on” and Titanic, but that is because of the movie which went global, Britanic has only one movie and as per what I’ve herd it was not a well received cash grab
Most of the ship (like interiors and decking) was sent to the haltwhistle paint factory along with pubs & hotels, but what happened to the metal of the ship? Could any of it have survived and still be out there today?
Suppose that Captain smith had survived. What would have been his destiny? I have my own ideas but I would like to see others. Thanks!
Do we know anything from inquiries or interviews from the surviving orficers what and how they exactly discussed, how this went, etc?
Edit: *Was in the title
I was watching a video by our friend on ocean liner designs on the stern wreckage and he talked about water blowing through the stern while sinking and that there was mostly timber walls separating everything and not steel. So even if someone was still alive after it sank wouldn’t they just get pulverized by the water blasting through the inside of the ship? Talk about a bad way to go.
I've seen it in multiple articles but people say that this is false
Granted, I know us hard-core Titanic aficionados have always known this, I don't get how this isn't obvious.
I always want to make a painting depicting this event now I’m finally getting to present what means so much to the wireless operators bride and Phillips who saved 712 people that night
