For an explanation of water residence time see here:
Is there anybody who died on the titanic before April 15th? Because I was born exactly 90 years after the titanic initially HIT the iceberg, April 14th, 2002. I’ve always found both this potential coincidence and the titanic itself interesting, so I just wanted to know and couldn’t really find anything about it. I’m not sure if I believe in reincarnation, though idrk.

The voting will be from Wednesday till Friday. Another post will be created containing all of the drawing that were submitted and you will be able to post a comment with your vote.
We will release on Saturday a new post containing the 3 drawing that won.
What is the prize? The 3rd, 2nd and 1st place will get a special flair till the next event happens and your drawing will be featured in a sticky post for 2 weeks.
You will have to write your Reddit username somewhere on the drawing so we can ensure that you made it.
Good luck! Notice: people who have submitted a drawing can not vote.
I know it wasn’t 1930-whatever as most people believe, but when WAS she scrapped?
(I got image from Google so please ignore)
So, I have recently been wonder about what happened to the flags that were on titanic when she sank, and so, I searched it on, well, Google and it only came up with pics of the white star flag and that which are NOT on the wreck. Does anyone know if these have been recovered or something? I REALLY want to know where the flags that were ACTUALLY on the ship ended up on the wreck
This is a question I've always wondered if there were emergency lights on the Titanic
The celestial tapestry in the night the Titanic sank as per Neil DeGrasse Tyson.
Hello! :)
Can someone tell me please, what is the size of these side lights on the boat deck, rounded in red (Picture from "Titanic - Honor & Glory") ? Do you think they are the same size as the skid lights?
Thank you in advance!
In this minisode of History Inside A Nutshell, curiosity of Leo and the Center of Science & Industry museum, we share a short video on one of the Titanic’s lifeboat davits. A huge thank you to Leo and Taylor of COSI for giving special permission to film the davit.

I thought it interesting to research the life of a coal stoker on a TITANIC era ship. One thing I see a lot here in Appalachia is the dreaded black lung from those who work in the mines. Stokers really had the worst job it seems, apparently black lung was a thing for stokers as well. Black Lung is officially called Coal Workers Pneumoconiosis. With that in mind I wonder if the White Star Line had any workers compensation in the event a stoker had to give up work due to the illness or maybe a pension?
