Individual sheets of construction paper?

Hey everyone! First time poster here!

I want to make a hand made card for Valentine's Day and I was wondering where I could get individual sheets of construction paper in town? I was thinking Michael's but I was wondering if there was a less pricy option.. Thanks!!

Fibre in Shuniah?

Anyone know if this is available? Tried TBaytel and Shaw, no luck. Bell doesn't show it on their service map for my address yet,, but about a year ago they came to my door saying it was available soon. Looking to get rid of Starlink!

Vet situation is Thunder Bay

Was looking to adopt a kitten recently when I was told by the Humane society that there are basically zero vet clinics taking in new patients and that the nearest clinic was in Dryden.

Has anybody run into this issue while adopting a pet?

and if I have to go to Dryden, is there a way to get to it when I don’t have my own car?

Thank you everyone!

New owners of Bannons charging nearly 10 cents more than all the competition. Empty there and a line up at the others.

So it begins

Gird your lions good people of the Thunder Bay. The financial markets open shortly and I am prepared to take a bath on my holdings. It seems there is nothing anyone can do to stem the tide of our punishment. Stocked up on my foods and toilet paper. I t appears we may entering unstable times again. All the Kings Horses and all the Kings men will never put our country back together again.

One plant is on par with Canna, has very knowledgeable staff, genuine question, why do more people like Canna? Is it location or availability?

Parking ticket confusion

Hi! My hubs and I are relatively new to Thunder Bay and I’m looking for some insight or advice about a parking ticket situation.

I attended an appointment a couple weeks ago and parked on the street outside the building. I made sure to look for signs, and parked along a stretch of boulevard that did not have a sign and where another car was parked. When I came out less than an hour later, both my car and the car in front of mine had tickets on them for $70. The reason was “parking in an area prohibited by signage”. I looked around again and did not see any signs on that chunk of boulevard. As I was getting into my car, the person in front of me came out and noted the ticket on his car also, and flagged me down. He said he was going to fight it and thought maybe it was the calendar parking. But a few days later I was back in the area and looked at the other signs on that side, which indicated parking on even days, and the day of my ticket was indeed an even day.

I’m wondering what I should do. I know there’s an option to fight the ticket but I don’t know what that process entails and if it’s worthwhile? I have a pretty busy job and wasn’t sure if it would require me to show up at a designated time to meet with someone/take time off work etc. But also not keen on paying a ticket when I’m not sure what the fault was, lol.

Thanks in advance!

Ok everyone who’s your best guess for Saturday night headliner for bayfesttbay? I’ll go first, Def Leppard. They are doing smaller festivals this summer. Would be a great band.

Thoughts? let me hear your opinion.

Why was the post about tariffs and what it means for Canada / Thunder Bay deleted? Trolls posting in the comments?

Trolls posting in the comments? Too many sub rules broken? I see it got a lot of comments and reactions, but can't read anything that happened in the discussion.

Provincial Election

What's the local vibe on the Provincial Election?

I'm guilty of not paying much attention to Provincial politics at times. I've been living in TBay for about 7 years and get the political vibe federally but want to better understand how we think Provincially. For some reason (Kathleen Wynn) I don't really look at the Libs Provincially. If you asked me today who my top contender is I would say Dougie - not because I'm a huge fan boy but I do see him out there supporting industrial projects that matter to me and the north, I feel like I can relate to this guy. However I'm not all in because I do care about social programs and don't really like his approach there. Since COVID my money doesn't go as far as it once did. My interest in politics is really focused on a strong economy and given the problems with our southern neighborhood he seems like the right guy to guide us through these times. As a Union blue collar guy I relate to the NDP party but I just can't get too excited because I know nothing about the local candidate and what an NDP vote might mean for how things go down in my backyard...which is what I care about most - my backyard. I like having my local seat flying the same flag as the party in power with hopes that funnels Government money into the region.

As I see it today my first option is a vote for Dougie and give him a majority, or vote NDP with hopes they get enough traction that forces Dougie to work with them or keep Dougie in check as the official opposition.

Any thoughts are welcome.

I wonder which one of the pink faced, goateed half-drunks the city exclusively employs will plow my street in the most thoughtless way today? Pick one. Just don’t give them a breathalyzer!

Old negatives developed?

My dad recently passed, and I have a bunch of old negatives and slides from his stuff, from the 1960's and 1970's. They are black and white, and most of them are somewhat faded.

I really want to see as much as possible, even if they aren't perfect.

Where does one go to get them developed these days?

Thoughts On The Shitty Of Tbay YouTube channel?

I discovered a a YouTube channel called The Shitty Of Tbay and I was wondering why this guy wastes time filming addicts and if it actually does anything. It’s definitely in poor taste to film people like that. I noticed that his comments are turned off in most of his videos as well.
