Monthly Car Rentals

Hello everyone. I was wondering if there's any "affordable" monthly car rentals here. Looking for something under 1k a month. Not looking to buy a car as I'll be moving out of the country in a few months. Any leads will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

How difficult is it to find work in town with a long gap?

Hey all, sorry again for cluttering the sub with employment questions. I’ve officially been out of work for a year, and I’m wondering how much more difficult it is in town with a gap? My seasonal position ended and I’ve been out of luck since; there’s not much employment agencies can do other than help with resume format as I’m a full time student at the college, and I’m still really worried; I’m supporting a family member as well which definitely adds stress around finances.

If anyone has leads to places that might be willing to hire despite the gap please let me know; I’ve been following up with postings around town, applying in company websites and indeed but I’m really not having luck. Places that can be reached via public transit are still preferred as I don’t have a vehicle, thanks in advance for tips!

Botox for Dental

Really random and tried looking it up and calling a couple places, but no luck. Anyone know of a dentist or clinic that does this in town? My partner grinds her teeth at night and this looks to be a decent option for 3-6 months of relief. Looks like down south there's options but not sure about town.

IVF/Surrogacy

Recently learned I won’t be able to carry my own children due to some medical problems. So I’ve started doing some research into IVF and surrogacy. Anyone have any advice or recommendations on the process? Things they wish they knew? Are there many surrogates in Tbay, or am I better off looking in the GTA? How much will IVF run me roughly?

Thank you in advance 🩷

Wasabi all you can eat sushi?

Has anyone else driven past Wasabi and seen the sign for AYCE for February and March? I can’t find anything about it on their website and am curious about the price and offerings (I know they have a gluten free menu but would need to know if any of it is included).

I’ll call Saturday and ask if no one here knows (and can update anyone if curious) but was just curious, and also want to share the word because hopefully if it’s popular/profitable they’ll continue doing AYCE!

Tomorrow is going to be payday Friday for many of you, cheque day for OW/ODSP etc, when grocery shopping take a minute to see if there's a Canadian, or better yet local to Thunder Bay alternative to what you normally buy.

Mayor Ken Boshcoff was just on CBC's Ontario Today

He went on air saying that Doug ford has helped the city 'exceed the cities housing goals'.

Not only does he sound weak, ass kissing a fascist. He seems to think all is perfect with Thunder Bay's housing situation. Who can we replace him with? Mack, where are you?
