For the people who disabled their last seen status, is the ordering among those people implies something about their recent openning the app or is it also randomized?

I don’t use the app anymore but I remembered I have a scheduled message for someone I blocked like two months ago so I’m wondering

I was having some trouble with telegram on my linux desktop. It said some messages were not supported in my current version so I went to telegrams website to download the latest version. That opened and everything was fine for a day.

When I clicked the pinned telegram on my taskbar, rather than open the existing instance of telegram, it prompted me to log in. It seems I had two versions of telegram installed! It took me a while to figure it out and I got logged out multiple times before I finally went to the package manager and removed the one installed there. The remaining version installed is 5.7 so I think I'm good.

Now, how do I recover my account? It's linked to a phone number I no longer have access to. (And this is why I hate requiring a phone number, not even Discord requires that.) It has 2fa, so there's no risk of the account being used by anyone else. In ~/.local/share/TelegramDesktop/tdata there is "user_data" and "user_data#2" so the login token is still there, right? How do I import that second folder into my current version of Telegram?

Long story short, I do a lot of administration and moderation on Telegram for a *wide* variety of groups. I don't spam people, I don't make shocking posts, I don't make unsolicited promotional messages, nor do I do any unsolicited advertising. Yet, Telegram limited me earlier this week and I fear it is a permanent limitation.

Going through the spambot I get this text: "Unfortunately, this is not possible. We are worried that we can't guarantee our users' safety from unwanted messages, should this account be released again."

When will I be released? I've been sending reports but I hear that Telegram doesn't even look at reports anymore.

Basically, my friend, Sara, was messaging a guy on Snapchat, Dan, and then he doxxed her, Sara blocked Dan and thought it was over. But today, a guy (presumably Dan) randomly sent her a picture of Sara which she only shared to her friends. The person had a hidden username and hidden phone number and has already blocked Sara. Is it possible to find his phone number so Sara can report him to the police? (all the names were made up for privacy reasons)

Hi, i got a new e sim and i try to get my new account with this new number i get, the thing is telegram is counting my area code wrong my area code is +52 mexico and then my area code from my city 56 from mexico, the thing is getting all thogether to get another 6 i cant recieve any calls/messages from there, anyone have some ideas or solutions to this ? i also have tried in an iphone and android

While telegram working on background, is it affect last seen activity? What I mean is for example, there is a media shared from a group chat and telegram started automatically download it in background. Is user going to seen as online until media download finish?

Currently my cache/storage is completely broken. I can't clear storage and currently it lists that I have -9728291736384929 storage. And when I delete and redownload nothing fixes except it clears my cache, which takes way to ling to do. Anyone know fixes?

In my Channel some random messages disappear. Completly normal Text messages, but not Instant, everytime 1-2 days later. I Looked with an other Handy with another number, Which is in the Channel too, and there the messages are deleted too. How and why? The deleted one are exaktly same as the Not deleted one.

Hello, just today telegram started giving me chat bubbles. This is confusing, since I don't remember updating the app or my phone recently. Chat pop-ups do not work on my phone, a MotoG 5g. None from any app have every worked, which is the whole reason I switched from messenger to telegram. I searched the whole settings in-app and searched this sub reddit, but I've come up empty. Does anyone know how to turn off this new feature? Please and thank you <3

I'm trying to connect to a user through a mutual friend. their profile is available and the friend sent me a screenshot of their @username/page.

I tried to find that user a lot but to no avail. and even copied the @username from a messege the friend sent me.

Is there anyway that I need do enable something in my settings to find that user?

If I read the pop up notification but don’t enter the app on my iPad would it be marked as read?

I have a small private group with friends only, the thing is that random bots are joining and immediately leaving the group every day

I already tried revoking the link, but a new link is created and the bots somehow find the new link even though I'm the only who has access to it. I'm guessing the bots just try different random links until they find a group, collect the data they want and leave
