All things Tel Aviv related. Meetups are happening currently weekly (well, we had a flurry there) so possibly bi-monthly or something. PM someone! A sister subreddit to /r/Jerusalem.
Some useful websites in english and hebrew for tourists and/or locals who need some guidance:
Pro-TIP: We are not affiliated with r/Israel, a subreddit ran by anti-Israel trolls. They’re scared of any opinion that differs from theirs and abuse tools they don’t even understand how to use in an attempt to silence any pro-Israel and secular voices!
Also be sure to message the mods if your submission does not appear in the new section! We are here to help. We are not lazy cowards who mute our mail for no reason

An interesting documentary I found on YouTube.
Anyone have a suggestion for a coffee shop with WIFI that is a good place to work (not too crowded or loud, the kind of place you can bring a laptop and sit for a couple hours) in South Tel Aviv (Florentin, Neve Tzedek, Levontin, Givat Herzl, and other nearby areas) that has a teudat kashrut?
Edit: not looking for chains like Landwer or Aroma. Something local and high quality.
According to the Jewish Press media outlet Saudis have recently said that they will only do a normalization deal with Israel if a sovereign Palestinian state is created. If it is possible to create a Palestinian state in the West Bank, while still protecting the safety of Israelis, would you support this agreement?
Of course I'd never condone any violence against them and what happened was awful. But what were they thinking chanting death to Arabs and other horrible things in the middle of Amsterdam?
Do they not give a fuck about our image at all? Why did they antagonise the ajax fans with anti-arab and anti-gaza chants? Are they stupid? They don't think these things will be all over the news just because they say it in Hebrew?
Again, they ajax barbarian fans who attacked are abhorrent but the macabbi fans have basically given the world all the ammunition they need to blame US for this attack.
Once again, we get attacked, and we get blamed for it. I know the drill. But the maccabi fans have embarrassed the nation. If they came in peace and still got attacked the narrative would be very different.
Edit: apparently it's mostly not Ajax fans. Anyway point still stands. Optics would be much better for us if we hadn't had our S tier arsim barbarians representing us there.
I just spent the day in Jerusalem - by machneh yehuda and I didn’t see any hostage posters on the street anywhere. I saw some hanging in a restaurant but not even the “official” ones but the drawings by Shoshke
Does anyone know what’s up with that? Or are we just completely bombarded with hostages and 7/10 posters and stickers everywhere in tlv (understandably) and other cities are just not like this ….
In North America standard tip is 15-20% but it varies a lot.
Do any of you have funny or embarrassing stories?
A billboard in Tehran says “Teloshima”.
Shalom and Salam to the people of Israel. As you can see nowadays people see Israel as the Nazi Germany of the Middle East. They are surprised to see a Muslim person from Israel happy and proud of his nationality. As a Muslim this really saddens me, Judaism is the closest religion to Islam, there have been many times in history when Jews and Muslims have helped each other. How do you feel about Israel's current reputation around the world? And do you think something should be done about it?
If I understand correctly, it's forbidden to swim on the beaches in Tel Aviv without a lifeguard present and I guess there isn't one on shabbat? Are there any beaches in or near Tel Aviv where swimming is allowed on Saturday?
Looking to party all night at a bar and watch Trump win with other MAGA people. Can't find any bars that do that, anyone knows a place?
Hi, I'm from Europe but know of an online crime that is being committed out of Tel Aviv. When I searched how to report crimes in Israel, I can only find a site where you need to log in with a local ID to report the crime.
How can I give the information or leave an anonymous tip to the police from abroad?
I'm an Irish Jew and will be visiting my sister in Ramat Gan. She's currently doing her national service and was previously studying at university, so she never gets out much really.
I LOVE collecting tote / grocery bags with the name of cafes or grocery stores on them. They're my typical souvenirs. Would you know of any in the Tel Aviv area?
Some examples from the UK:
Hey guys I left Israel when I was 7 when my dad got a job in California and now I'm early 20s and want to return. Ideally I want to be in nature not in a city like Tel Aviv so I am thinking a settlement. Which one would you recommend and how easy is it to move there with the troubles with the non Jews, things like that? Thank you!
Applies to someone living in Israel or in North America/Europe.
I have some time now so I'm looking for after work hours,Friday,Saturday voulenteering activities.
Mostly central tel aviv but can also get by bus/scooter to other areas of tel aviv.
Tried sundo, ruach tova but couldn't find any.
It is obvious what the Palestinians need to do if they want peace. Stop rewarding and promoting terrorism and accept Israel’s right to exist. Is there still a possibility of a two state solution? Do you think Israel has done anything to make the situation worse and encourage Palestinians to hate Israelis ? Was it better or worse before the Oslo accords? Do you think two peaceful states are ever possible?
It seems like the more isolated the two sides become from each other the less likely there will be peace one day. Maybe I’m too optimistic but I think it might still be possible.
