Sometime this sub is keeping me sane, and some other time its making me realized that people can hate you for basically a misunderstanding, and that the world is not good nor bad.. rather grey. Idk why I'm even writting this honestly, guess I just want to vent a bit 👍

I've tried talking to like 4 girls, one left me on sent, one replies back and talks to me but doesnt text first, one of them messaged first after adding me back and then never replied and left me on delivered, and another left me on opened after we were just having a convo, all of these are very recent. Idk what to do and I'm sick of all these failed talking stages, I never say anything bad in the conversations I just say normal things

I’m 16 and this is a fairly recent issue. I have an infected piercing and for months I’ve been picking at it and making it worse. Lately my acne has been getting bad and i’ve been picking at it until it bleed and scars a little. I bite on/tear off hangnail until my fingers start bleeding. My mom yells at me to leave it alone but I really cannot. If it can be ripped off i’m gonna do it. Does anybody else struggle with this and have you found any solutions?

Hi!! I’ve never really posted on reddit so i don’t know how to start this, but I have a highschool friend group that i’ve been friends with for around two years. I’m the only openly gay person in the friend group , and only one other girl is questioning herself. There’s around 5 people in the group. Anyways, we have sleepovers sometimes and i guess since we’re all girls they get touchy? Like cuddling and hugs and sexual jokes and whatever. I recently got added to a groupchat with two of the girls where I was being told that they were uncomfortable with something that i said (which is perfectly fine- i prefer when people tell me straight up.) but the specific joke was something that we had ALL made before (it’s sort of niche so I don’t want to say it in case they recognize this somehow) so I thought it was okay. I apologized but something stuck out to me on when they were ‘confronting’ me they said that they didn’t think I of all people would actually be joking when saying something like that, and implied later in the message i’d do something to her. This confused me a lot. I have never in my life touched somebody without permission- especially if it could be taken wrongly. I don’t know if i’m overthinking this and I don’t want to be ‘it’s because i’m gay isnt it.’ It just struck me as weird because they still continue to make the same joke with each other all the time (we all are the same level of closeness.) I’m not sure if this is the right area to ask this question but I guess other teenagers would know what other teenagers meant or implied. I struggle a lot with social stuff and I obviously can’t ask them so. Anyway thank you for reading if you got this far and please offer advice if you can

And when I say "they/them" I'm not even talking about people who say their pronoun is "they/them" I'm talking about the news referring a person to "they" and then the comment section be talking about "is it singular or plural?" Like it literally can be both, and also people saying "it's the woke virus" like bro, "they/them" can be used as a singular pronoun for an individual person of an unknown or nonbinary gender. Basically if you're not sure it's a male/female, or you don't want to reveal the gender, that's a they. It's that simple, nothing to do with "woke virus" or whatever 😭

Quick rant cause I saw a post of someone dying and the post referred to the person as "they" and the comments were talking about the pronouns being "they", like hello?? A person literally just died and all you care is the pronouns being "they"???

People, let's talk about this new celebrity trend of doing stupid stuff in bathrooms. Yes, you heard that right! I saw that some French actor was caught having a little. how should I put it, "foreskin frolic" in the shower. That is one shower moment nobody asked to see, right?

Can we just take a minute and appreciate how very, very French this is? The only place where some actor would utter, "You know what my fancy, high-tech shower is missing? Some performance art. with my foreskin as the star!" I mean, the only applause I'd get if I did that in the shower would be from the soap! And we all know soap can be awfully judgmental with those bubbly whispers.

You know the stereotype that the French love fashion and good food and looking after themselves? This one here took "cleanliness" to new, well, um, dizzy heights! Me trying to get the conditioner out of my hair in the shower, this guy's auditioning for "Foreskin: The Musical." The big tune could be "Blame It on the Rain" - happens on slippery tiles!

So, let's talk about those who watched that video. I can just imagine the kinds of reactions that might have occurred. It pops in your feed, you scroll down, and you are like, "Wow, I really do not want to see this. and yet, here I am, blowing it up in full screen and turning up the volume." And just like that, it is such a car crash-you can't look away.

You find yourself thinking, "I shouldn't be watching this. but it feels like some weird, artsy experiment!

" When a celebrity does something crazy, it makes people go, "Hmm." What happened to ordinary old entertainment? Can you imagine trying to pitch that? "Okay, so there's this shower scene, right— and it's super personal!" "Personal? Just how personal?" "Well, he may go to the dark side. literally!" Now, speaking for myself, I can recall when, in high school, we used to do stupid stuff just to be recognized. Me and my best friend did this one stupid thing wherein we tried to impress some girls by playing this stupid game called 'Guess That Hair Product' in the gym!

But what if I tried to do anything along those lines? Let's just say my parents would have been really embarrassed, and I'm sure the principal would have had some big questions! So, here's to celebrities and their shower escapades! Do your thing, but would we just leave personal cleaning in the bathroom? I promise, the world doesn't need to see my washcloth. or anybody else's "foreskin mistake." For there is always a limit, after all, and don't let's overstep it in the name of art! Grazi, grazi! Now, enjoy the clean shows, everybody!
