A message from our safety team

Hey Everyone,

Here at TSP, we try our hardest to keep redditors that are dangerous and creepy away from our users. However, despite our best efforts, sometimes people slip through the cracks. This is where you come in. Reporting creepy interactions to us, allows us to swiftly ban these users across the TSP, as well as report them to the Reddit admins.

We know that sometimes it’s scary and uncomfortable to report someone, but doing so helps keep you and your fellow redditors safe.

Thank you,

-TSP safety team

Temporarily enhanced control mechanisms (especially TikTok)

#This post has expired.

Heyho people. Hope you've had a nice week so far.

To keep it short: as triggering content seems to be going viral on TikTok again (without further elaboration), r/Teanagers is operating on all 20 content removal filters for the time being. This change will be reversed soon.

FAQ: How do we use AutoModerator?

Stay safe.

Apology as a moderator + Searching for new moderators (Also, we have a Discord)

Edit: For current (9th Oct 2021) info regarding moderator applications, please see the pinned comment under this post.

Hey, there. As some of you may have noticed, a few unrelated posts have been submitted to this subreddit in my absence as a moderator, one of which was an NSFW post. The post has been dealt with and the user has been banned. In the meantime, I wanted to take this as an opportunity to look into Automod's code again. To ensure that this and worse things won't happen in the future, 6 new filters and 1 new filter category has been added that will remove any suspicious posts even when moderators are absent, including 1 new filter for image submissions, 4 new filters for private information and 1 filter for reports. (Thanks to a kind user from r/AutoModerator)

What does this mean for you as a community?

  • Your reports matter. After a certain number of reports, posts and comments will be removed.
  • All image submissions require moderators' approval. This should have been the case anyway, but it wasn't. You don't need to do anything about this.

Moderator Applications

To ensure that image posts will be approved fast enough, new moderators in this community would be nice. Even though you probably will not have to do much, please note that the form which you will have to fill out to qualify may be quite intense. After all, moderators shall comply with this community's rules as well. We value privacy a lot.

Dont drink black tea late at night

Okay so, I've seen that - apparently - they sell English breakfast here. Cool I thought, then after buying it, I forgot about it for a while again. So, when I've seen it once again, I thought "fish it" and made me some - at like 10pm. As if that hasn't been sinful enough already, it got cold because I forgot about it again, so I was there with black tea at 12am aaaand that led to me being awake until almost 4 o'clock in the morning.

Don't do that. Stay safe

We've got a Discord server now! (+ changes within the moderation team)

Edit: r/Teanagers is not currently searching for new moderators (9th Oct 2021). If you want to apply to the TSP instead, you may want to fill out this form: https://forms.gle/8nHuFqToH3jEynM86

Hello there again, dear tea-lovers!

#Discord

u/Anhkog and I are happy to announce the brand new r/Teanagers Discord server! After months of work and not-really-work on it, our server is finally finished; take this as our Christmas present. ;) Link:

https://discord.gg/Yr9UY7Mey6

  • It features several channels and some bots, meaning you can talk about anything that complies with our rules, even if it isn't tea-related. Bots like Dank Memer and Rythm add fun to the party. It's best to have a look yourself!

  • In the future, the server will be advertised more and more on this subreddit, meaning that it will hopefully replace our community chatroom, especially since Reddit has recently announced a bit of an ending of community chatrooms in r/ModNews. The server will also probably undergo some more changes at some points in time.

  • In order to be able to participate in the server, you need to acknowledge our Policies, Terms & Guidelines and have got an e-mail address linked to your Discord account.

I hope you like our present. :) Feedback can be given on the server!

#Moderation

As it looks like u/Anhkog is soon going to leave the moderation team, r/Teanagers is searching for moderators again. See the last stickied post for more info:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Teanagers/comments/hmy8at/rteanagers_is_searching_for_new_moderators_discord/

u/Anhkog, I thank you very much for the participation in this subreddit. With you as a moderator, my job felt a little less lonely, and I could get active feedback on this place! I hope you will have a great life and I'm sure everyone will be happy to talk to you on Discord. ^^

Have a nice week, all :)

Mad hyped for Christmas now

I’m getting a teapot and possibly a tea set (a first for both) and plan an expanding my horizons outside of black tea a little bit lol. I like going to my coffee shop for tea, but it would be much more convenient to be able to just make some whenever I want. Right now my favorite tea is the jasmine petal tea they serve, it slaps.

Tea Hours: Special Edition

Hello, fellow teanagers! It's Friday– wait, no: it's Saturday! This time in "Tea Hours", it's time to talk about the U.S. elections! Did you go voting? How was it? Who do you think will win? You can talk about anything regarding the elections.

The spreading of false information will be punished accordingly. Keep in mind r/Teanagers' rule #4.

Additionally, Tea Hours will take place every 2 weeks from next week onwards.

How should I get into tea?

I drink black tea like it’s water (which it pretty much is lol), but recently I’ve started getting this jasmine petal tea from my local coffee shop and I love it. After exclusively drinking black tea for forever, I think I’d like to try different types of tea. What other teas should I try/what are you guys’ favorites?
