Discovering new and interesting Easter eggs in the world of Google Street View is as easy as taking one step forward.

RULES

1. Street View posts only.

Posts from Google Maps, Bing Maps, or other similar services are allowed as long as the URL directly links to the intended Street View.

2. “Take one step forward” should be implied & feasible.

Do not include “take one step forward” in the title since it is implied. Only posts that require other directional steps (e.g., “take two steps forward”, “take one step to the right”) should include such steps in the title. All posts should feasibly allow the viewer to follow the steps (i.e., Street View link should have identifiable arrows/cursors that allow the viewer to “take on step forward” or to follow other directional steps in the title).

3. No spoilers in the title.

The element of surprise is a core aspect of r/TakeOneStepForward.

4. No doxxing.

Do not disclose private or identifying information in the title or comments.

5. Be civil.

Please be respectful to each other. Harassment, hate speech, or bigotry of any kind is not tolerated and may result in a ban.

Why does nothing happen when I take one step forward in someone's post?

Here are a few possible reasons:

  • Different devices/platforms may have different results.

  • OP did not follow Rule #1 or #2 of r/TakeOneStepForward (if this is the case, please report the post).
