Hey everyone. I'm living at Theory Syracuse for the Fall/Spring semester (919 E Genesee St, Syracuse, NY 13210). I signed an annual lease, but I'll only be on-campus until the end of the Spring semester. Looking to sublease the apartment over the summer, if any summer term students are interested. The lease started on August 23rd and ends on July 31st, though I'll be off campus by the first of May. You'd be paying the months of May, June, and July. It's the four-bedroom D1 floor plan and it's $1119 a month + some convenience fees (I usually end up paying $1140~). Feel free to reach out to me for more details if interested or have any questions.
Can't find a day online like a lot of other schools have posted. Please help

Hey. Does anyone that from NYC have Fidelis or United Health Care Community plan and tell me if its good and what its like using it in the city.
I am a senior in high school and I have my virtual interview tomorrow! Anybody have any tips? Also how many/what types of questions do you think they ask and how many/what type of questions should I be asking? Approximately how long does this run by the way? I am interested in the school of arts and sciences majoring in biology btw. Thank you!!!
Hi all, I'm 30F, currently living in Colorado but looking to start grad school in the Cuse. I'm originally from the area & Maxwell happens to have the exact grad opportunity I'm looking for. I guess I'm just asking for solidarity... is anyone else coming back to school after a long time away? I've been working for the past 8 years after getting my undergrad degree and I'm worried I'll be overlooked without tons of academic references. I have a resume, I speak two languages, but I only really have my most recent bosses to back me up that I'm a worthwhile human who will do well in school, lol. Do I even try to reach out to an old professor from my undergrad days? Or, even worse, am I the only mid career student? 🥲
I’m getting excited to graduate in May! I didn’t attend graduation for my undergrad degree and was wondering if anyone has tips to share about convocation, commencement and any other graduation related matters. Thank you and congratulations to all graduates!
Kyle Mccord is so elite.

I'm a former Syracuse Engineering student looking to buy surplus electronic parts. I'd consider equipment and tools as well.
I know there are some surplus outlets in town, but my interest is to buy surplus for reselling, and secondarily as my hobby.
Any age parts, old, pulled from a dumpster, excess or obsolete inventory. Mostly looking for unused parts in multiple quantities, though would consider used parts.
Small or large quantities. I would pick up and pay cash. Would consider anything in NY.
I have to keep a car up here next semester for a week or two before I am able to get a place for it. Is there anywhere I could keep a car just somewhere around campus that’s not too expensive?

Hello Folks,
I currently living at The Laurel Syracuse for a co-op and it's coming to an end in December, it's a 13 minutes walk (3 minutes drive) to campus. I'm hoping some local folks who are coming back to Syracuse University to take over it for me. Looking to move out either end of December or early January.
The rent is $1500, this was the price when I started my co-op as the place was relatively newly built, about 3 months after completion. It is a two bed & two bath with shared common area, I've attached the floor plan link for the layout view.
The amenities at The Laurel Syracuse is very nice, the gym is big enough to make you feel comfortable, equipment is clean, and the door can open to the outdoor section when the weather is nice. I got here in June and the vibe is very suiting for a day workout. I usually went at night for weights and there is barely anyone in the gym. There is also underground garage with key fob access only.
Maintenance personnel are very helpful and on top of their game for as long as I've been here.
If you have any question or is interested in the slot, email me at vnhat752@gmail.com

Oh, man, this is going to sound like a really mean question. I'm an out-of-towner who's considering going to Syracuse for my university years (it's journalism program is very prestigious and i'm a fan). I've talked to students from the university and i've gotten mixed responses. Obviously, i'm not expecting some major city or anything of the sort. But I do have to ask-- what's there to do for young people?
I've heard that nightlife is basically dead here. That's fine with me-- i'm not big on it, but I am interested in actual social outings / 'third spaces' (as is in-vogue these days). Diners, places to hang out, community centers-- anything of the sort.
This will likely come off snobby. Apologies for that. I'm just trying to be blunt as to avoid any surprises (i'll probably visit sooner or later too-- that'd help).
long story short: my sibling who’s also a student is going abroad in the spring, which means either i lose the car or i have to find a way to keep it off campus as a freshman. i live a drivable (4hr) distance from home but far enough where i’d have to take a bus provided by syracuse.
any parking lots that would possibly be available for permits off campus??
How much tough is it to get admitted into physics Department? My Gpa is overall 3 and have a research paper. Is it competative and hard for me to get admission with full scholarship?
Hello everyone, I just applied to Syracuse and I am curious what the social scene is like if I am not in greek life? I understand it is a significant part of the university's culture but are there house parties and other stuff like that?
I know there are lots of dome parking questions, but does anyone have advice on how to power up their EV while at the Dome? It looks like ESF lot 22 has chargers, but I can’t figure out how to access the lot. The dome parking map doesn’t include it… is it just a matter of getting an ESF day pass at the booth?
Do Syracuse Football tickets usually drop in price significantly right before the game on secondary markets like StubHub? Do you all think the Miami ticket prices will drop a lot say at 2:30pm on Saturday?
Hey there! Coming from Canada for the game this weekend, looking to experience my first tailgate game day experience. What’s the best way to get a good game day experience? I’m already planning to hit the orange crate. THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE! Go Orange 🍊🍊
I’m considering IST 659 as part of my Info Sec. CAS. Is this course doable for someone who doesn’t have familiarity with the topics covered and hasn’t taken the pre-req’s?
Syracuse-10🤔🤔🤔 you think we can do it?
Hi, myself and 4 friends are driving down to Syracuse to watch the Syracuse v Miami (FL) game next weekend, 3:30pm kickoff. We are looking to have a good time and looking for advice on the spots to be on game day before and after game. We’ve heard the Crate is the spot to be before the game.
How early do we need to get to the Crate to get a seat?
Will Castle Court be packed in the hours leading up to the game or will it be more tame since it’s thanksgiving weekend and bit cooler weather?
What are the best bars to go to after the game and Saturday night?
Is there any tailgating?
Any advice and tips are appreciated!
Hello! I just got my acceptance letter to Syracuse for online MSW, but I’m between this school and Arizona State. Can anyone tell me about their experience with online master degrees here?
Technically ASU’s program is rated higher but Syracuse is known to be prestigious. Plus, the admissions advisor to Syracuse has been more helpful than the ASU one and I’m not sure if that’s something that I can judge since it’s not the admissions advisor who will be with me throughout the program.
I'll be coming down next week for the game against UConn. How much of a tailgate happens outside the stadium before the game?
Prospective student here. I finished everything for the application and now I’m debating if I should apply ED tonight or not. I’ve come to really like this school, but I don’t want to lock myself into paying for more than I can afford (I’m from a low-income family with parents who probably won’t pay a dime).
I’m willing to take, at most, 20k a year in loans.
