Europa Cup Squad for Turkey

Cakir: Isn't well-liked, but technically the best goalkeeper after Günok. He's had a subpar season, but his pre-assist in the last game shows why he is the goalkeeper of this squad. A Cakir in form is by far the best keeper in Turkey.

Bardakci: Obviously playing a great season, he's one of those Turkish players who can take the next step despite being in an older age category, which I appreciate, like with Calhanoglu, the leader of the squad.

Ahmet Can Kaplan: For his age, a very mature player with huge potential. He has very good feet for a CB and is calm with the ball. Having him alongside Bardakci at the back would mean having two CBs who can distribute long and short balls, which can be quite dangerous.

Kadiouglu: Can play on both the right and left, has had a strong season, and has shown a lot of improvement since his arrival at Fenerbahce. Frankly, he may be the second-best player at FB after Fred. He is versatile and not afraid to support his attacking teammates. He will do the sprints back with his god-given tempo. Although he could improve in defending, he's still a very solid option and our best wing-back.

Celik: Has a lot of experience playing in Europe. Won a league title against PSG with Burak Yilmaz and Yazici. Was one of the regular players and moved from Lille to Roma. To be honest, Celik is more of a safe wing-back; he tries to help the offense but plays more conservatively, as he should, because he lacks tempo and can sometimes be clumsy. He can be quite susceptible to counter-attacks from his side. Nonetheless, he's not a bad player, and I don't see anybody else playing his position in the National team at a level that won't set the team back.

Calhanoglu: One of the best maestros in football right now. Long balls, short passes, long-range shots, and penalties; his great football IQ makes him an incredible player. He does lack a bit in stamina and physicality, but that's why Yüksek is alongside him.

Yüksek: Maybe not the most talented technically, but he is aggressive, will go for the tackle, and can pass the ball. He is Calhanoglu's guardian in this formation and will be very important when the team loses the ball.

Kökcü: Playing a good season, can use both his left and right feet, excels at through passes, and is good at link-up play. He could form great triangles with Yildiz and Ferdi or Hakan and Kenan.

Baris: Has shown this season that he may be the most versatile player in the nation right now. He has a good finish and good instincts. He has good physicality and won't be pushed around easily by defenders. Also quite fast with the ball at his feet; long balls to him could be deadly. Maybe the least technical player after Yüksek.

Yildiz: Every time this young fella gets the ball, the whole stadium wonders, "What will he do? What's going to happen?" Great dribbling, very hungry, and good mentally. High technical capabilities, isn't afraid of one-on-one situations, and won't lose the ball cheaply.

Destan: Young Enis has a great header and also good insight into the game. He will try to pass the ball to build up an attack. Isnt selfish ant will give everything for the squat. He has a tendency to lose aerial battles. However, I couldn't come up with a better striker because none so far could link up well with the National team.(I didnt put semih in because he isnt the type of striker we need, we need a guy who can pick a ball from the air and also maybe holt it and put his back up against the defender, but i can definitly see Semih on the left wing. Maybe even as the starter in front of Kenan.)

This is it, I think this team has quality players and a big potential to be competetiv against any team in Europe. Just a question of Consistancy. If you have improvements or other Ideas please put them forward.

Can we talk about the pitch in Sivas? It looks atrocious

It feels like half of the pitches in the league are in terrible condition and it looks like it doesn’t get better

Ticket Alarm

I'm trying to maybe get Tickets for Fener-Besiktas next weekend. I know it will be hard but I'd like to try.

Is there any way to get notified when the tickets are out, like a Ticket Alarm text subscription? My club has this, it’s very useful.

Or does anybody have info as to when they will be on sale?

Thanks 🫶🏻
