Bhelpuri is a popular Indian street food snack that originated in Maharashtra, particularly Mumbai. It’s a tangy, spicy, and slightly sweet mix made with puffed rice, sev (crispy chickpea noodles), chopped vegetables like onions, tomatoes, and boiled potatoes, and flavored with a combination of chutneys – tamarind for sweetness, green for spice, and sometimes garlic for an extra kick.
If anyone knows the origins of the jerky I’m curious! I vaguely remember seeing something about this preparation for beef jerky in the stall but didn’t take a photo. It was very sweet
