So basically, I’m getting some new equipment and I need to back up MPS before I leave today. I do not know how to do that. Does anybody have any tips or tricks so that I can do this?

Please and thank you.

ScanditExpress

Does anyone know how I could find the project code to reactivate this so we can scan Amazon on the AMD devices? Or how to set it up again? We can't scan Amazon on all but 1 of our devices.

Why do offers need to be activated manually?

Here’s an idea that could benefit both customers and store employees: why not automatically activate offers in the app for active users? You already have the data, and users would still need to log in to redeem points.

It’s frustrating to miss out on rewards just because I’m in a hurry, can’t remember my password, or the app crashes. Making things harder for users isn’t going to boost loyalty. If you believe rewards drive return visits, then make the process simple!

Allow us to use the rewards we’ve earned without extra steps, and you’ll have happier customers and less-stressed employees.

iPostal Nightmare

TLDR: Recieved 30+ packages, wanted all scanned/shipped same day
Howdy! Print supe here with an interesting iPostal1 question. I know some of my coworkers are on here and might recognize this one, so hey guys! So one of my box holders called our store and spoke to an associate who mistakenly gave them our print email. They informed us we would be receiving ~30 packages (large ones, by the by) on Thursday and needed them scanned in and shipped out same-day. Obviously due to staffing this could not be done. Fast forward to today(Friday), myself and my RSS busted our asses scanning in every single package. Each time the store would get busy and we would have to stop, the box holder would email us/call and ask why all their mail hadn’t been scanned in yet. Between running print, my RSS having to do MOD duties, and register, we collectively finished scanning and applying the labels (which we had to wait for for a good hour or two to even show up) at about 5pm. I began this fiasco at 10:30 this morning. I had already explained to the box holder that we could not guarantee getting these all out, since it does take a few hours on our end to accept that many packages into our system. Yes, I absolutely wanted these boxes out of my store. And I do want to make sure the customer is content, but this was genuinely the most stressful and insane thing that has ever been asked of us, especially going into holiday card season. How would you guys have handled it if this were your situation? Or has anyone else dealt with something similar? Looking back now, I definitely wish I had handled it a little differently. It was by far the largest iPostal job we have ever done in 1 day. I have box holders who receive lots of items, but never that many all at once like that. And several times now I have had to refer this customer to ipostal support for questions completely out of my control. It was definitely a wild, migraine-inducing day lol 😬🙁

Recent asurion issues

I am an AM and have been having endless issues trying to get arurion claims through. If someone tries to file a claim on an existing pc protection plan its near impossible to get the claim even considered without the original receipt (which no customer has after a few years and we only go back 2 years). Also why would they need that for an EXISTING pc protection plan. We dont have to ask questions where it came from they could have bought it from best buy or costco or a pawn shop or been gifted by a friend or found it in a ditch. Doesnt matter.

And then i had a customer call for tech help (they bought a $160 chromebook and a $170 plan for protection and tech help for 4 years) and the asurion rep talked her into buying this home+ program for tech help for $24.99. I am beyond frustrated after years of asurion actually seemingly being solid. Ive never had issues with printer or chair plans being redeemed but in the last few months ive had so many problems. Anyone have advice on the asurion process that could help?

QR code woes

I'm going to fucking lose it if people don't stop arguing with me about needing to go to the UPS store instead of doing their return with us. No I don't know if you can cancel and redo it. No I don't know if there's a way to get you a label you can print instead. What I do know is that the closest UPS store is like a 7 minute drive straight up the same road we're on, you could be there by now if you weren't arguing with me about this.

Toxic environment and inconsistent scheduling

I started at staples a few weeks ago. I was guaranteed x amount of hours per week, low but reasonable due to the fact it’s less than a mile from home. Slowly hours dwindled, yet more work and responsibility piled up. Consistent drama with a “supervisor”, and a manager who doesn’t know how to talk other than using the walkie talkie. Corporate is a joke. At my breaking point and can’t wait to remove myself from the situation.

Please Pay Attention, grandma!

Picture this:

Gray work shirt, name tag, dumb lanyard cause "we might have guests," radio in ear, actively scanning for an ink pull, and a grandma says, "Do you work here?" 😫

Genuinely fuck this company…

I’ve had enough of the customers cussing me out, I’ve had enough of the lack of help and communication when I need assistance, I’m done drinking the koolaid. Fuck this job and fuck staples. I’m going in Friday, and dropping my key and walking out. 9 fucking years wasted and I could have had better opportunities. Well now I’m gonna make it happen. So peace out staples. I have no ill will towards my managers or co workers, but 100% fuck corporate and all the higher ups.

A customer threatened me then claimed it was a joke

About a month ago this older guy comes in and we’re an hour from closing. He comes up to buy bubble wrap and I say my greetings “hey how are you, did you find everything alright?” His first words to me were “I’m gonna beat you to death with this bubble wrap.” And proceeded to raise it up like he was gonna hit me. I just stood there and stared at him coldly and then he goes “don’t worry hun it’s just a joke I wouldn’t beat you with bubble wrap” then also say “I once beat a man with bubble wrap. It took a very long time” I then hit him with a “shiver me timbers I’m shaking in my boots” very monotone sounding. Not sure if he actually meant it as a joke but I wish he would’ve done it. That would’ve been a very interesting incident report. I also don’t know if that’s something that should’ve been reported or not considering he did claim to be joking. Thoughts?

Pay Stubs

Hey guys.

I can’t find my pay stubs. I know we switched sites for that stuff recently, but I can’t find the link.

The one I’ve seen reposted in here a few times doesn’t seem to work for me. It’s always saying my information is invalid even though I know it’s not. When I hit reset password, it says it sends a reset link and it never does.

Can anyone help?

Strange Customers

A man comes up to customer service and shows me a box, asking where this product was. The product in question?

A noodle cutting accessory for (presumably) a mixer.

Man gets upset when I tell him that we do not have this item, and do not stock kitchen appliances (besides coffee makers).

"Well, Google said Walmart had it. They don't! Google said Best Buy had it. They don't! Best Buy said you had it! Where can I get it?"

He didn't like my answer of "online," like, you walked into an office supply store looking for a noodle cutter. That's like going to the soup store looking for clothes.

Right after, a lady asked my cashier for a "toy that crochets hair" like what? She came back up with 2 of the Harry Styles crochet kits, so we're not sure if that's what she meant or if someone's going to be upset on Christmas. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Anyone else have any weird encounters, lately?

Whyyyy?!?

In the past week I've had 2 customers come in before closing and throwing fits because I'm refusing to even assist or put in an order for them. The first man handed me a piece of paper with over 50 print me codes and refused self serve. I suggested he come back the next day when there's more time and use the website so he can use less codes. He said absolutely not but he'd come back the next day to pick up and management said take his note and leave it for tomorrow's opening crew. Whelp I already knew half the codes didn't even work. Then last night I had a woman at 30 min to close yelling at me cause she didn't understand why her print me codes aren't working. I had her open her email and she sent 120 separate files (which not even sure how it passed through email) but the machines would time out when downloading. I told her no way would I have time to download all 120 behind the counter tonight and told her just split up the quantity into 20-30 using the website. She was there til we closed. This time the manager said we couldn't assist her because we are short staffed and I have to assist others.

Print me emails not going through

All emails are being queued. I have tried sending from two different emails. I have a strong Internet connection. I have tried sending only one document instead of a few in the same email. Nothing works. All queued. I have never had this issue before.

Any idea why?

OECs?

I was working through the November marketing book. We didn’t get OECs. Isn’t every site suppose to have them. I checked signs online to order some, the only one that shows up there is the Soda Stream Version.

Is it me or....

  1. Rewards coupons and offers are getting stale and lousy, 2. Amazon coupons are repetitive and useless (30% in reward points when you buy two inks/toner), 3. Amazon returns to the front checkout is the most idiotic move ever showing that non-buying Amazombies are just as important as Rewards' customers, 4. Easier and faster for Amazombies to exit the store without spending a penny, 5. mass confusion for split returns, 6. cluttered front area looks like a drop-off recycle center.
