I’m 19 and in university right now so I decided I need to find some part time work and got hired part time at staples, I go in for orientation on Tuesday. I think I’m mostly going to be working 4 hour shifts and they told me I’d be doing a little bit of everything like cash and merch and whatnot. I’m just wondering, how do people like it here?
I was laid off in MA last month and received severance pay. Do I not get unemployment in MA it says I'm eligible but it wouldn't let me file
Recently with the holiday season my store has been enforcing 30 minute lunches on all employees eligible. Non-negotiable I have to clock out 30 mins each day which was never the case before. I started relying on that extra $50 come payday and especially now it's pretty huge to see that cash each week. My question is do I have any right to deny a lunch break if my AM is pushing it? If so where should I look to defend my right to work
Hey I work in the print section and I just got a job I've never done or been taught how to do before.
It requires the mylar tabs. I found the stock for it, but I have no idea how to get the printer to print on the tab part, any advice?
Help I have a 7 x 10 inch document in Canva. I upload it as a PNG to Staples and it is showing up as 8.5 x 11 sizing even when I unclick print to scale on my staples options. I don't have a color printer at home. Has anyone been able to print things in smaller sizes at Staples?
I am so grateful and excited we're getting 25% back in points on our purchases as employees. That's wonderful. It's really going to help me buy groceries and pay the mortgage. Thank you Staples for making us all feel so very very very very fucking appreciated.
It's holiday card season and when I try to print the back side of orders, I notice a black smudge at the very edge of the paper which can sometimes be an issue if it covers part of the area for a white card that is visible after cutting. I've tried changing the black drum cartridge. I doubt it's a fuser issue as usually those have to do with indents. What else can I do to fix this?
And they didn’t tell you about it in advance?
Yet another deceitful way to cut on hours.
I bought a printer for my work office, at my local Staples on 11/14. I’m having trouble connecting it to the network, so I’d like to return it. Unfortunately, the office cleaning crew throughout the box. Am I out of luck?
By affordable, I'm looking at the Dexley, Hyken, Kroy. Thoughts on these? Or anything else in that range? I guess I might be convinced to go a little higher in price if there's something great just above but preferably want to stay in this range
I don't think I'm a fan of headrests so I'm leaning towards the Kroy. Dexley & Hyken only has versions with the headrest? Are they removeable?
I'm 6'1, lean build if that matters
Thanks
I’m reaching out to see if anyone else has experienced this. I’m a 60-year-old employee with 30 years of sales experience, and I’ve been working at my current job for over two years. Initially, I worked on the floor selling and performing a variety of tasks, but when new management came in and learned I was disabled, they restricted me to working only as a cashier.
I have Pancreatitis, which doesn’t affect my ability to sell or perform most tasks. However, I now feel undervalued and limited in my role, despite my extensive experience.
Has anyone else faced similar issues regarding treatment as a disabled employee? Could this be a matter for HR? I would appreciate any advice or similar stories.”
Indefinite? Running through the “holidays”?
Am I Bob Crachet working for Ebenezer Scrooge?
Does anyone know what temp password is supposed to be used for new hires in order to log into HR connect?
What’s the most craziest that happened at your store?
Put in my resignation yesterday, and man i didn’t think id feel this free. i didnt put in any two weeks, as ive already secured a new job and i couldnt care less about this company. ill miss my print associates, but im so glad im getting away from that terror of an AM. hopefully things will look up for me, and im so excited to get the hell out of there.
(i still need my taste of drama, so i wont be leaving this sub anytime soon😉)
Only reason I haven’t quit is because I want my severance when this shit company closes 🙂
Do we get paid on Thanksgiving for part time associates?
Was there a recent change requiring print.marketing####@staples.com orders to require a phone number from the customer? I've ordered previous posters multiple times over the past few years and never needed to give my number.
It's a small order of 2 18x24 laminated posters
Edit: This has been answered
Hello, I recently got accepted into this company but I was wondering if the ADP's WOTC is legit. I kind of feel skeptical about the mandatory SSN requirement. is it normal? first time retail job.
I’m a preschool teacher who is making paper calendars for student-to-parent gifts. I’d like to get them bound together so I don’t have to hole punch a million times. Does Staples offer this service? I don’t need to print anything, I just need the binding. Also, how much would it be per piece of paper? Thank you!
If we actually routed this, how soon would we receive it back and would it be in my lifetime?
How many has your store redeemed on the current useless promo?Restrictions: 1. $50 card for future purchase, 2. applied for a custom print order, 3. when you buy the Hammermill brand 4. box of 10 ream paper. The sales and marketing department comes up with these tremendous Black Friday and Christmas specials. The phones are ringing off the hook and people lining up outside the stores snaked around the block. Sales will ncrease exponentially for both products and CPC to lower the $7 billion debt. Beware Office Depot, eBay, Amazon, Walmart, et. ot. Staples is like the immortal Phoenix.
calling all teens that worked at staples! i wanted to know how was it for you and what position i should apply for? im working at safeway right now and its eh, my manager are kinda bleh and really strict. i was planning when i turn 18 that i switched to staples, should i?
Just wrote up an order and I try to get it online and I get a message saying the order belongs to someone else and to make a new order.
I made a new order and got the same message.
I update the flash drives and even made a new one and same message.
I guess now I'm a TSOC associate.
I'm going to hear that fucking voice in my head till the day I die.
Answers phone: thank you for calling staples how can I help..
Customer immediately cuts off..."YEAH I HAVE A PRINTER!"
Ahhhh staples... breeding the best customers out there.
I have to fix customers black and white self serve prints all the time because they are too faint, or the color is off - how do we recalibrate these things lol?
Hi former price auditors & current pricing associates. I currently do the price tags at my store & I’ve noticed on here that a lot of stores change tags on Saturday. My store is on Sunday. I’m curious to see if it has to be on Sunday?
Thanks!
Because I was the only one at cashier so I’m ringing out people and doing Amazon so I scanned her code and was waiting for it to load so I start finishing the person I was ringing up and was right about to turn around and continue her Amazon when she starts screaming at me for taking paying customers first and how they shouldn’t pay us for doing these returns and should let some other store do it like what so I straight up told her since she wants to act like that she can wait for her return because it’s a FREE SERVICE
