My family and I are planning a vacation to St Kitts next year. We have been many years ago and had such a great time but are a little hesitant to come this time. We have heard since Covid, the island is not as lively and that the tourism has gone down a lot. Can anyone comment on that if that is true? Thank you!
Thinking of booking a family trip for late July but was wondering how bad the rain is? Is it worse than other islands like St Lucia? Or is it about the same?
Hello! I’m going to st kitts in December. I’m 17 now and will be 18 in June. Will I be able to buy alcohol? I went to curacao last year and was never carded so I was wondering if it’s the same. Thank you!
I'm going on a Southern Caribbean cruise in a few days and one of the stops is in Basseterre from 9am-6pm. Does anyone have an itinerary they would recommend for a short day trip?
Any opportunities for diy fly fishing on the island?
Hi! Just as the title states, I’m looking for beaches on the island that are rocky, near cliffs or near an old glass factory, and perhaps challenging to reach, but not impossible. Any suggestions?
We will be docked for a day in Basseterre. We are looking for an enjoyable and easy activity for 2 adults with children age 3 and 5. Most of the excursions offered by the cruise line don’t allow children so young. Any ideas on how we can best enjoy the island?
I’m planning on traveling with my sister for 5 days to St. Kitts and Nevis and will be staying at the Koi Resort in March 2025.
I really want to explore as much of the island as possible and be able to visit restaurants and beaches as we please.
What recommendation(s) does everyone have for drivers in St. Kitts and drivers in Nevis? What are the daily rates for their services? I will truly appreciate any information that is given!
Side note: Renting a car is not an option for me!
I am coming back home for 5 days after years being away and bringing my wife, mother and father in law. I have a US passport but born in SK, they were born in US. Can we all go through the resident line since they're with me, or do we have to use the visitors?
Figured there might be a community I'm not aware of or a meetup opportunity
Moving to st Kitts! Trying to decide to bring my board(s) or not. I hear friars is the place for surf but is it worth it to move with a board? I mainly longboard
How is the taxi vs car rental situation like in st kitts?
How do you get the temp drivers license?
Any recommendations for fishing charters?
Ideal for 4 ppl. Bottom or sight fishing is preferred over trolling. Open for any options on St Kitts or Nevis.
What are some good places, close to Basseterre, to purchase some souvenirs before I leave?
Hello I need help. I have a passport in st kitts that needs to be delivered to me in the US. I sent it once via Fedex and was lost on the way and I am not willing to take that risk again. I was considering flying there just to pick it up but the flights are too expensive. Anyone is coming to the US that can bring it with them? That would really help
For anyone that visits frequently / lives there, is visiting end of November a bad idea? I know it is the rainy season and technically the hurricane season, but I’ve heard that hurricanes are more likely to hit during September/October. I know anything can happen, we will make sure we can get refunds in case, but on a day to day basis is the rain pretty subtle? We will most likely be able to enjoy sun? Does the rain last longer in November or will it be pretty typical with only an hour or so of rain? I don’t mind the idea of going off season as it will hopefully be less busy! (: We would be staying near the shore by the Park Hyatt, does that change the rain outcome? Any tips will be helpful!!
Are there differences in: Cost of living Friendliness/personality of people Infrastructure Things to do Anything else you can think of
I spent 10 days in the island and really got to experience the peace and quiet that comes with it. It had completely relaxed my nervous system, people are so freaking friendly compared to the UK (where I live) and the grills are soooo freaking good. Love the beaches. The tropical nature, the bamboos, the hills, the monkeys just climbing around combined with the super friendly people completely transformed me as a person and I’m not exaggerating 😂 you really know how to live and it reminded me that that there are other ways to live life than being stressed and running around in crowded cities all the time. I’m now back in the sad cold London and I hope to be back soon!
Hello Everyone,
Could anyone be of assistance to help understand the process for finding family members in St. Kitts & Nevis?
My mothers grandmother (my great grandmother) was born and raised in St. Kitts, (I’ve also been told Panama) and I want to find out more information on her and our family is there a specific office that handles family searches or lineages? (Lack of a better word) Does anyone know of the Phipps family from Basseterre?
Thanks Everyone!

Hello, I am planning on getting my passport(obtained through investment) renewed in st kitts directly.
I have all the documents ready and planning on spending 14 days in island - but I worry that it may take longer? There is no phone number for me to call or an email address I can reach out to.
Has anyone here had experience with the passport office there? Thank you!
