built-right pool heaters

help! trying to get my pool heater going, and can't get the heater to run. i've performed all normal maintenance prior to placing it into operation, combed the instruction manual, troubleshooting steps, circuit breakers, and finally just mashing all the buttons trying to make something happen lol......pump is working, just the heater isn't turning on. i'm technologically and mechanically savvy; but i just can't seem to crack this case.

if there is anyone who might have some insight before i make a service call, that would be awesome.

Suggestions for a Gathering Spot in St. Augustine?

Hi everyone! My family and I are meeting up in St. Augustine on December 11th to spend some quality time with our daughter, son-in-law, and our 2-year-old grandson. It's a halfway point for us, and we’re planning to exchange gifts and enjoy each other’s company for about 2-3 hours, between noon and 4:00 PM.

We’ve looked into The Willie Galimore Community Center but haven’t confirmed its availability yet. Ideally, we’re looking for a spot with a little privacy since we’ll be opening presents—something like a community space, a small rental venue, or even a park with a sheltered area that feels a bit tucked away.

Has anyone had any experiences with Willie Galimore or know of similar venues in St. Augustine that might work? Thanks! 😊

Psychics/tarot reading/astrology stuff in St. Augustine?

Two friends and I are doing a weekend in St. Aug for my birthday in January (we're local to Jacksonville). Were very into witchy/mystical stuff and are interested in booking a reading/experience with a psychic but want to stay away from super touristy stuff. Anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

Weekend Cannon Firing

  • Visitors can see what it was like for the Spanish colonial settlers who used to live there. Under times of siege or other emergencies, all people in the settlement were ordered inside the fort for protection, and the cannons were aimed and fired if needed.
  • Park rangers and living historians will also give visitors a detailed history of the fort and its previous residents. Look for the marks and drawings that British and Spanish soldiers left on the soft coquina walls.
  • Admission: Admission to the Castillo is $15.00 per adult. Children 15 and under are free if they are accompanied by an adult. Tickets are valid for seven consecutive days. The Golden Access and Age Passports, the Castillo Annual Pass, and the Interagency Access, Annual, Military, and Senior Passes are honored for free admission as explained on the terms specified on the card.
  • The cannon firing can be seen from outside the Castillo, although the description cannot be heard except by those standing near the gundeck.
  • When: Cannons are fired from the gundeck on most Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year, weather and staffing permitting**, at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. and at 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 p.m. The fort is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.**

Update: thank you for trialing our business

Some of you may have seen our post a couple of months ago where we were looking for people to trial our business, for those who didn't here's a quick rundown. A friend and I thought it would be cool if you could turn any photo you want into a paint by numbers kit. That way you can paint your dog, cat, partner, the whole family or whatever you want without having to be an artist.

We looked up the idea and found that the current stores in the market were ridiculously expensive or only offered kits without a frame or with a DIY frame (who wants to put together their own frame? Don't you just want to open the box and start painting). So we looked around and talked to a bunch of suppliers and eventually we were able to produce custom paint by number kits cheaper then anywhere else and already framed.

We reached out to you here on Reddit asking you to test them out at cost price and we've received some amazing feedback as a result. Thank you if you were one of our OG customers! We want to continue to grow and get more feedback and reviews though so we're re-opening the offer in case you missed it the first time around or you want to order some more kits.

You can use the code "COSTPRICEREDDIT" to get our kits for cost price (our margins are pretty slim right now, we want to be as affordable as possible). You can get up to 4 kits at that price so feel free to buy a few and plan a date night, family activity or just get your Christmas shopping done early. If you've already ordered with that code it has no been reset so you can get the deal again!

We look forward to getting more feedback and hopefully you'll love our kits enough to spread the word to your family and friends!

If you had a one day, what would you do?

Hi, I’ll be in Orlando with family in January, have one free day and a friend who lives near Jacksonville. We’re thinking of meeting up in St Augustine for the day. Priorities are lunch and dinner and just catching up. Neither of us have visited before. Suggestions most welcome! Thanks!

School for the blind

Wondering if anyone had any input on the school for the blind, which is located in St. Augustine per my search results Contemplating moving out of CA eventually but when we move I would like to be close to a school for the blind for my visually impaired 11 y/o son Currently he attends regular school with vision impaired services that come to see him daily but his vision instructor said if we do move to look into this option. The town looks pretty expensive even on my nurse practitioner salary so I would probably look at living in an area that was close enough to drive him there every day or accessible by busing Thanks in advance
