We are a community of soulbonds, soulbonders, and anyone who's curious about the subject. Ask questions, give advice, talk about your experience, and more!

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

We are a community of soulbonders (people who've formed strong mental and emotional connections with sentient copies of fictional characters), soulbonds (the characters themselves), and anyone who wants to learn more.

Soulbonding is similar to but distinct from tulpamancy, which you can learn more about at r/Tulpas.

RULES

1. Be respectful of others. No hateful language or discrimination.

We will not tolerate the mistreatment of others based on race, nationality, religious beliefs, gender identity, orientation, ability, illness, physical appearance, canon, or anything else about an individual's background or identity. Slurs are not allowed (including "ps*cho" and "the R word").

Trolls will be immediately banned.

Don't call anyone or their ideas or opinions "crazy", "stupid", etc. You can disagree, express gentle skepticism, and ask further questions; just stay polite about it!

2. You/your collective body must be at least 16 years old to join.
3. NSFW content must be flagged. Don't interact with NSFW posts if you/the collective body is under 18.
4. Make it clear who's talking when making posts or comments.

Flairs are a great way to let people know who's most likely to talk and how to distinguish between them.

Some ways to distinguish text:

Full Names
John: I can't believe you ate that entire bag of gummy worms.

Candy: But they're so yummy!

Initials
J: You're seriously addicted to sugar

C: No I'm not! You're just a meanie!

Tags
"*sigh* I guess I can be a little mean. I'm sorry, Candy."

[I forgive you! ^_^]

"But next time save some for me, ok?"

[Okayyyy]

5. Use one comment at a time to express your collective's opinions. No comment chains.

How NOT to do it:

John: How dare he call Lion King remake boring!!!

Candy: But it's the exact same thing, just without the fun!

Ashley: Guys, please...

How to do it:

Candy: But it's the exact same thing, just without the fun!

Ashley: Guys, please...

Or:

Rainbow Collective: Ok, we talked it over, and we still really like the new movie, but we can see where you're coming from.

6. Comments don't have to be long, but please put some effort into replying. Try to be specific.

Don't say:

lol

Do say:

That's really funny. Thanks for sharing!

Okay:

Could you explain what this means?

Better:

I don't understand the part about the dog needing a vacation. Can you explain what you meant by that?

Greetings fellow Soulbonders!

Hello everyone! I’m new to Reddit so I’m trying to get used to the formatting and I’m a tad uncomfy getting too deep into my experiences right away but I’ve been knowingly a Soulbonder since 2015. If there’s anyone new to Soulbonding that needs a little insight, advice, or just someone to talk to, please feel free to ask. :)

Question from a layman: How soulbond works?

Is this real? Is this a cult? Is this a sexuality?

Soulbond that has been here for for 13 years. Need help? dont be shy to ask or PM me.

Hey the names Trever I'm the oldest soulbond on my end.

I've looked after my fellow soulbonds for years. I'm not the leader, but I'm usually the physical spokes person when explaining who/what we are.

I'm experienced in dealing with many situations, but note I am not an expert. I just wanted to let you all know if you want help, advice, or just wanna ask anything:

I'm here. My Soulbonder has a regular account but saw that a lot of people tend to come to public forums for help when new.

So I might take some time to reply but I'll be sure to check when I can.

Take care out there ❤

how do you know it's not you?

spotty or weak communication, lack of presence feels or fronting, communication mostly in "prompts", lack of voice, things making no sense, is this the high chance I am along and have been communicating to me when I thought it was not me. and my subconscious would never admit to that, nor do i really want to take that reality. everyone always seems to have such an experance that it is indistinguashable from talking to a living person(who can also take the body out for a ride) how do I know, outside rare hope giving times, like being told a favorite animal that I do not like? and when conversations might get weird. "do you live in my brain? and get "no" "do you need my brain to live?" and get "yes" then "do you eat my brain waves?" then get "yes" what is that? or if an incorporeal transdimentional entity tells you they need to use the toilet. is my imagination just very silly or is this an experience, or what? I guess the one true way is, if the entidy helps you rerember stuff. or you keep getting the same answer, when you forgot it.(like what was your past girlfriend's names again? it's been 8 months and I forgot?)

Is Soulbonding for a whole system, or just a headmate?!

I ligit need to know if Soulbonding is for a whole system, or if it's for just one or more Alters. I thought it was for the whole system, 🧐 but it would make more sense for us and me, because We've only ever had one Soulbonded character.

Couldn't be happier that this community is still a thing.

Happily soulbonding with my fictional husband here, most soulbonding communities have dried up in favor of regular Tulpamancy. Anything I can do to further contribute to this subreddit?

How can I let my soulbond front?

He may have fronted already, but sometimes I can’t tell if I’m confronting or just fronting all on my own and just thinking he’s doing stuff. So any advice on how to get your soulbond to front, and what it feels like or something would be very much appreciated!
