I really dislike this job but I can't find any others. The stress is so fucking bad every 5 seconds answer your headset answer your headset but I'm trying to make 7 damn drinks at one time, then ice cream pops up then I need to hop out orders and I can't do everything at once. Like when doing drive thru I can't talk to the damn customer and answer my headset at the same time. Plus the whole list of chores I have to do before the day ends and if I just stand there to catch my breath for a minute when there's no customers my managers on my ass about my chore list and getting it done while there's no customers but I just need a minute. They act like this isn't my first job and I'm just supposed to know everything I mean I've been there 3 months already and I'm just now learning how to make the tea bc nobody tought me. I'm tired of my managers acting like I'm stupid whenever I ask how to do something they never tought me and the smartest responses like "you've been here how long and don't know how to do that???" Like bitch that's your fault. They did this whole big ass thing about how we shouldn't come to work when sick but when I called in bc I had strep i still got written up and also had to bring in a doc excuse. The shifts are exhausting bc one day it's 4pm-7pm then 10am-8pm. I called in a little bit ago bc my girlfriends little cousin died and I was a mess and couldn't work. I got a call from her dad at 3am and I couldn't even sleep that night and ever since I did that I'm off 4-5 days a week with only 2 or 3 3 hour long shifts. I'm just done and tired and ik I'm just being a whiny little bitch but I can't make drinks, ice cream, answer the headset, carhop, do my chores ect all at once dude I'm only one person. Sorry if this isn't allowed but dude.

Hello, I'm looking for input from Sonic employees. I'm a fellow fast food worker and I want to make things as easy as possible for y'all :)

When i order through the app, it doesn't give me the option to pick it up in the drive thru, it just directs me to park in a stall. If it's late at night or the weather is bad, I feel bad making someone walk out to my car.

I would just pick it up in the drive thru, but I don't know if that disrupts your workflow since you're expecting to have to take mobile orders outside. Let me know what's easiest/least annoying for y'all. Thanks! :)

Have they always had the add-ins or were they added later on? I have tried looking it up but can find nothing. For some reason I feel like I remember it coming out in the mid 2000s but am not for sure.

My Daddy and I have been trying to figure out who the finalists are and the winners in the 2011 S.Y.T.Y.C.S.C and we have not been able to find anything. we’ve looked on every article and every website and to no avail, i’m hoping someone here will maybe remember or have even worked there during the time but if i could know the answer to this it would help me out tremendously. all i know is that the championship took place in september and that there are plenty of submission videos but no winner list. then the year after 2011 they change the name to the SONIC SKATE OFF but for 2010 and 2011 it was the Sonic so you think you can skate championship. and i would like to know the winner at least for the 2011 championship. thank you very much and i hope the community can figure this out.

Not her accidentally putting in the wrong location but some other person or people are using it, happened again today and its the 3rd time, so we tried deleting her account but once we get through the process and leave the app, when we go back on to make a new one it shows that it hasn't deleted! Needless to say she's not going to be using it anymore at least for a while

I dunno what has changed, but I ordered a Strawberry Limeade Slush a couple of months ago, and it all tasted unbearably artificial. My guess is that I didn't order it correctly. What do I need to say to guarantee real fruit in my Limeade or Lemonberry Slush? And did Sonic change their Slush mix distributor? 🤔Sonic's Slush always had the same vibe as Slush Puppie IMO. You can order it at the restaurant, but I haven't figured out the proper way to order it through the app. This is my go-to drink, so it annoys me that it's more difficult than it should be. It's not a standalone drink in the app like the diet cherry limeade. If you go to the strawberry limeade drink, there isn't an option to sub Sprite for Sprite Zero. When I go to diet limeade and add strawberry, 50% of the time they screw it up and either don't add the strawberry or add cherry instead. What am I doing wrong?

I think order aheads were created to make the customers hate sonic and the workers hate people who do order aheads. There is an insane beeping sound that won't shut up until we hit the button in a way it recognizes as correct (could take 3 people 5 tries each) to make it shut up. If we get 1, we get 15 and we are arguing with making the beeping shut up the whole time. All delivery services doordash etc also beep. Then at the end of the 20 godamn mofo orders, I'm scrambling to fulfill because yall can only order at the same time, I get a ding dong noise (i.e. someone has checked in) followed by more beeping. So you came into my lot while I had fuck of order aheads and clicked check in while placing your order. I hate you. I personally hate you. I have 4 minutes from you checking in to get you your food and you 20th in line I haven't even started making ice-cream. Please dont check in as you place your order, especially if its chicken or a cornd9g. Those ar 4inute cook times. If it's after 8 there are maybe 3 but probably 2 people in the store. Me and the cook. And you can't understand order AHEAD!!! SAme for open shifts btw. A lot of the smaller stores (stores where you don't consistently have traffic. Only have a cook and a hop to open and for closing). I have nightmares now about the damn never ending beeping.

Haven't been a regular for a few years but just got a burger tonight - just a double cheeseburger and I couldn't figure out why it smelled funny. Then I checked the pickles and that was it. They smell really funky.

When Sonic decided to get rid of the CinnaSnax I was devastated. Crushed even. But I got over it. I could still enjoy my corn dog, my ocean water, and my fries.

I went to sonic today to order a snack and I noticed they’ve replaced their normal fries with groovy fries. Which are just glorified crinkle cut fries. What grown adult spending wants crinkle fries? I’m not four, and crinkle fries suck. I really wish Sonic would stop changing menu items that aren’t an issue. Probably won’t be eating it anymore in the future. Even the onion ring quality has become garbage. I hate to see it.

With the introduction of all the drinks that require sweet cream, we had to come up with a solution to keep the sweet cream nearby. Currently they just fill a cup with ice water and put the cream pump-bottle in it to keep it cold. Im not a fan of this, because ive noticed the cream kinda smell like expired milk. Idk just not a fan of serving of that. On my shifts i try to keep the bottle in the fridge, but its pretty inconvenient when busy considering the fridge is across the room 😩

Hello! Im a high school senior and looking desperately for a second job that will fit my schedule 🥲 I currently work at HEB but only getting scheduled on weekends. Im looking to work week day nights but I have soccer coming up so I wouldnt be able to work until like 6:30pm-close. In yalls experience is this do-able? How flexible is the job with changing schedules? Is it even a good job?😭 and with tips how much do carhops normally make?
