Hello all! I never really got into Bethesda games growing up but I’m absolutely loving Skyrim right now! So much so that I wrote out my character’s lore and wanted to share it somewhere. Hope you like it!
The Khajit known as Gandhi was born somewhere in Skyrim. His parents were traveling merchants who were killed in an attack on their caravan shortly after his birth. As an infant, he was sent to Elsweyr where he grew up an orphan. He left the orphanage to live on his own when he was still quite young.
With very little guidance in his youth, Gandhi had to develop his own personal honor system. He witnessed horrific tragedies executed by the Aldmeri Dominion at a very young age. These taught him to watch his own back and take care of himself above all else. He was very cunning and became a skilled thief to get by. He felt he had to lie, cheat, and kill his way through adolescence. However, deep down, Gandhi wanted to help those in need. He tended to see himself when looking at the less fortunate, and avotided hurting innocents when possible.
As he grew up, Gandhi learned that he was a little different than the other Khajits. He had a keen interest in weapons and magic, and was much more naturally proficient with them than others around him. This gave him the opportunity to take many different jobs around Elsweyr. From hero work to assassinations, Gandhi made quite a name for himself in the province.
Although he had a checkered past, Gandhi was well-liked by most he came across and became known for his wit and sense of humor. Not everything about his reputation was sterling, however. He consistently worked in the gray and was known for being a tad reckless and impulsive. Nevertheless, he found modest success in his adventures.
Gandhi despised the Aldmeri Dominion that controlled Elsweyr. He couldn’t stand their god complex, and knew they wanted to take control over all of Tamriel. While he also wasn’t fond of the Empire, he felt they were probably the lesser of two evils. He eventually decided to leave the province he grew up in. He traversed Tamriel, learning the cultures of every province and using his skills to take on whatever job he could find. Despite this, Gandhi never truly felt like he had a home.
Although he had seen most of Tamriel, Gandhi had avoided making a return to Skyrim. For a long time, he felt there was nothing there for him. He had never truly known his parents, and his place of birth was a mystery. However, after years of traveling, he decided it was finally time to return to his true home. He knew he was searching for something, but could not figure out what it was. Perhaps it was destiny, riches, or just some sense of purpose in life. Whatever it was, Gandhi felt he would find it in Skyrim.
His trip did not start as planned. While crossing the southern border from Cyrodiil, Gandhi was captured by members of the Empire’s army. He was mistaken for a member of the Stormcloaks and was sentenced to death. The rest is history.
One element of RP gameplay I’ve incorporated into my characters is a dice roll with various quests/objectives they have to do in a set period of time. For example, I had an Imperial assassin who had options like 1) Find and kill a Thalmor patrol, leaving Stormcloak gear nearby so it looks like a raid, 2) Assassinate a non-essential NPC in a Stormcloak city (with head canon that they were valuable for some reason), and others like that.
I have a new character who is a Nord from Markarth. He’s a devout Talos worshipper, but his family was also killed in the Markarth incident. The big problem he’s going to run into is: Join the Stormcloaks despite his hatred of Ulfric OR tolerate the hidden worship of Talos.
I’d like to have some randomized objectives/quests for him that he “receives” at a shrine of Talos, but am hitting a blank wall. Killing Thalmor is an easy one. What else?
Hi, I’ve been thinking of making a build based on The Scarlet Witch from Marvel with focus on Magic
And I’m just wondering if there were any race, skills, mods or armor recs for the build
Thanks!
Thought I'd try out the immersive armors mod and it didn't disappoint.
I am going to make a Emperor Palpatine skyrim character. (No I can't just download mods) I am having a hard time choosing his race. I am leaning towards Nord for the Battle Cry power as it reminds me of the sith power he used in episode 3. My other options I thought would be good are Breton or Imperial. Any ideas or opinions would be appreciated.
