This is a subreddit for Shopify SEO questions, tips, guides, blog posts, etc..
Moderated by the staff at Ecommerce SEO Team
Don't spam - Feel free to post links to your own blog posts or content but don't make your titles click-baity or overpost.
Don't be a jerk to people asking questions - Not everyone is an SEO pro overnight, this sub is for everyone, even beginners. If questions get repetitive we'll make a sticky.
Comments should add to the conversation - No "inbox me" comments or other comments which are designed to directly sell a service/product or are otherwise off topic.
Links in Comments - Must be to a useful resource, not a purpose-built landing page designed to sell. Example if you have statistics on a sales page and a stand-alone page link to the stand-alone page when citing those statistics in a comment. If you only have the statistics on your sales page then do not include a link in your comment. Small CTAs at the bottom of blog posts or resource pages are acceptable as are modal popups and notification bars on content.

Hey r/ShopifySEO, I’ve been noticing more store owners struggling with implementing structured data. I decided to build an app that automatically injects JSON-LD for schema.
Seeking: A few SEO enthusiasts or Shopify store owners who’d like to test it. I’ll provide a free extended trial for a year in exchange for feedback on the app.
My questions for this community:
If interested in testing, let me know, or shoot me a DM. I’d love to compare notes on best practices. Thanks!

Curious, what are people's results with using backlink services for Shopify sites? Does it help with rankings given all the huge ecommerces out there?
Hi everyone, I’m looking to expand my shopify to more countries and would like to use subfolders like /uk or /de to localize my target audience. Is this free to do and unlimited or is there a price per country I do?
Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments too—I'm curious to hear why you picked your choice. Let's make this fun! 😊
I recently tried something simple that gave me a 33% increase in conversions. I added a TL;DR (Too Long; Didn’t Read) summary to articles and product pages of a client sites. It was a quick change, but it made a big difference. Here’s how I did it and why it worked.
I made two changes:
The goal was to let visitors quickly see what the page was about without having to scroll through everything. I tested this for about two weeks.
After the test, I saw a 33% increase in conversions across both articles and product pages. Here’s why I think it worked:
TL;DR worked because it let people quickly understand the content. When users can make fast decisions, they are more likely to act. Adding TL;DR is a simple way to improve the user experience and increase conversions.
Feel free to ask any questions.
If anyone knows how to post a blog and generate backlinks for our site through Shopify, please guide me through the step-by-step process.
Hey Everyone!
So, I recently started an ecommerce store several months ago and I'm trying to incorporate better SEO. I've recently updated my product descriptions to include more key words but not sure where to go from here?
I've heard of backlinking but not too sure what that is and if its legit.
Also, would starting a blog for the site help?
Pretty new at this and want to learn!
Thanks again a ton!
Can we only add 5 backend search terms/ or focus keywords to shopify app listing. Can anyone please share the steps?
So few months back I decided to build my entire site using an app, Veda Landing Page builder.
What I didn't know was it would make my site slow asf. It went from getting scores like 85 to 54.
How do I fix it now? I've nearly 500+ products. Will removing the app take me back to the old site/theme I was using? How do I move away from this landing page builder?
It allows you to generate lifestyle images/videos for your products without any expensive photoshoots with 100% accuracy.
App Name is Cloth2Life
Let me know if anyone is interested, I'll share the link as well.
Our website groompet.eu for dog grooming cosmetic products is up and running. We target today only a small niche of professional dog groomers. Sales are mostly growing organically. So far we get orders mainly from Germany. Now we are planning a round of improvements to the website starting next week.
What SEO low hanging fruits do you see?
What did we miss? What improvements shall we start with?
🙏
bought a 2nd domain, right now it only redirects to my main store home page (I want it to redirect to a collection page) wanted to try out exact match domain strategy, but only came to realised that I can't change the content of it
Is there a way to edit the page? my main goal is to treat the 2nd domain as like a blog post website and link to the main store collection page
really new to this, would appreciate any help/guidance on what to read up
Hello!
I’m a Business Administration student at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, Finland, currently working on my bachelor's thesis about dropshipping. The survey is entirely anonymous, and no personal data will be collected aside from your responses to the questions provided. Your input will be invaluable in helping me understand the early experiences and challenges of starting a dropshipping business.
