Hi! I’m looking to see if any photographers in the Sedona area do a mini photo session especially for the Christmas season?
I’ve been searching but it seems like most local photographers do just full packages.
We just want a few for an updated Christmas card 🙂🎄
Hello, we are climate refugees from Asheville, and we are currently trying to organize our wedding. We are unable to find a place that can make a simple, aesthetically pleasing cake—nothing extravagant, just better than a grocery store cake. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! We are also okay to drive a bit to pick it up.
Looks like a group of people are over the political signs in town
Hi everyone.
I know nothing’s perfect. I know there’s a billion and one things wrong with Sedona-or, to be precise, how it’s being overrun with chaos from the inside. You could probably tell me about the flaws in its politics, or how tourism is poisoning it from within. You could tell me about how certain things have become too expensive. About how certain businesses are going in the wrong direction.
I’m certain you could probably spend an hour telling me about everything wrong with Sedona, because as we all know, nothing’s perfect. But here’s the thing.
Despite its many flaws, Sedona is home.
I wasn’t born there, but in a way, I feel as though I was. None of my earlier years took place there, but the memories I do have of it are some of my most precious memories. Mom and I had the honor of visiting it twice, and to this day, I hold every moment of each vacation near and dear. Both experiences were uplifting, magical experiences I wouldn’t trade for anything.
That’s why, to me, Sedona is home.
Where am I now? Thanks to a series of unfortunate events, Mom and I are in San Antonio, far away from the magic I miss with every fiber of my being. Arizona has become astronomically expensive, far too uncontrollable for us to afford, but I want to go back home.
I miss the starry skies and the air that feels as though its from an entirely different dimension, with a fragrance that separates it from the air of other cities. I miss its one of a kind vibes. Especially since this year has been nothing short of unbearably stressful for us. I even wanted to spend my 39th birthday there, but couldn’t afford it.
So why am I telling you any of this?
Because I have a favor to ask you.
In spite of all of its flaws, please enjoy Sedona for me. Tell me your most favorite things about Sedona. Share with me your favorite photos of Sedona. I’m well aware of many problems that burden it. I’m aware of the politics, the cost of living and how tourism negatively affects things. But I want you to please love it in my place. And share your love with me.
Thank you for loving my home, since I can only love it from afar now.
May be super lame but I’m in Sedona for the week solo tripping. I would love to meet up with others. Im a big nature lover, reader, traveler, and positivity advocate.
I am visiting with a group of friends from 2000 miles away for 7 days, it was to difficult to bring my guitar, asking y’all for help. Thank you.
Looking for musicians for a private event in Sedona, any recommendations? 🙏🏻
Hello! My parents live in Sedona (I do not) and they like to eat out at restaurants. I’d like to get them gift cards for a variety of restaurants for things like birthdays, holidays, etc. But of course since I’m not in Sedona physically, I’m limited to restaurants I can get them a gift card online for. They like most cuisines. Not big fans of the Dahl restaurant group. Any good suggestions?
Hi friends! Please let me know if this isn’t allowed to be posted. I apologize if so!
My friend’s wedding videographer just dropped out, and the wedding’s November 1st. Does anyone know anyone who might be able to help? Honestly, doesn’t have to be a perfect professional, something better than iphone videos or nothing works.
It’s in Sedona (if that wasn’t obvious).
Thank you for reading!
Visiting Sedona this weekend and saw there were a bunch of art shows. Any recipe rations of the best place to go with the most artist options?
We will be taking a weekend trip to Sedona tomorrow for first time from Phoenix. Stating at the Hilton Bell Rock. We will have a smallish dog with us. Have a few questions.
We are very excited to experience Sedona this weekend. Been a long time coming and get away from the city for a bit 😁
Does anyone know of any Tai chi groups for my mom and I visiting next week? Outside would be great! thank you!
Thank you!
Enough of the red rocks in the foreground
Hi guys
I will be coming from visiting ZION Nov 14-16 to Sedona. So on 14th I may get there about 3-4pm.
I will have 15th full day there, and then check out on 16th.
I wanted to do Cathedral Rock, but I heard it is more like rock climbing. I like intermediate hikes (several miles RT, and great views).
What are some things I can do in my time, including a lunch break, here is what I have for 15th.
-Devils Bridge Hike 930am
-Sedona to Oak Creek Vista round trip drive (RT 90min)
-Drive to chapel of the holy cross (Or do I have time to do this on 14th?)
I want to know certain aspects of living in Sedona
I recently got a roof tent for my car and am looking for a good place to park and camp around January. Here’s a few I’ve heard about let me know which is best!
-Pine flat campground -Schnebly Hill -Cave Springs -forest road 525 -forest road 689
Looking for a personal trainer in Sedona. Does anyone have a recommendation? Thank you!
This isn’t exactly Sedona entirely but hopefully someone could comment on our travel itinerary for April. Family of 4-2 adults, 2 young kids.
2 days Sedona 1 day Zion 2 days Monument Valley 1 day Arches NP 2 days Vegas
All feedback welcome. Thank you!!!
I didn't want to add to Sedona's woes by staying at airbnbs. I'm on a tight budget, and the best rates I can find for election week are either Sugar Loaf Lodge or Dreamcatcher Inn. Any thoughts on the better option for a solo senior traveler? (65F) I like quieter places. TIA
(I've been to the area before but stayed at the BW Aiden, and one other place I've forgotten already.)
Hi all,
Very grateful for any suggestions you can give. My husband (39m) and I (39f) are visiting Sedona from Nov 20-25 with our 9 yr old and 2 yr old.
We love to hike, but are obviously limited on length/intensity by what the kids can handle. Also love arts and culture, eating out, playgrounds, would love to take in the natural beauty as much as possible. They are up early (usually 6 am), so activities available/open early are great.
What are your top suggestions for this age range? Especially hiking suggestions, they can handle up to 3 miles (2 yr old in the hiking pack of course).
And suggestions for kid friendly restaurants would be much appreciated!
Thanks so much
I’m on a trip with two of my friends (we are all women in our mid-twenties) and while eating at the Teal McDonald’s in Sedona we were approached by an older woman from Texas who asked us where we were from and then immediately suggested Jerome. She told us it was a quaint mining town with great shopping and a cool kaleidoscope attraction. Mentioned nothing about the ghosts. She also wasn’t with anyone, and wasn’t eating. Which now in retrospect we think is weird. While on our tour of Sedona, our guide (also an older woman) was heavily suggesting we go to Jerome because of the great shopping, nothing about the ghosts. We took her suggestion and made the trip to Jerome, which is almost an hour away while she told us it was right down the road. We had a really weird/interesting experience there and just felt that the vibes were off. Has this happened to anyone else? As in, you were approached by older women who were really heavily pushing you visit the town without mentioning the creepy history? We are honestly just a bit creeped out and wondering if any part of this is paranormal in some way that we were pushed to go to Jerome, completely unprompted, and felt unsafe/scared there.
