2023 RoughHouse 50 stolen and recovered,... no gas cap and messed up ignition.

I got my scooter back!!!!

they broke my ignition and put on a cheap replacement with new keys,

no gas cap

stolen plate.

my 17 dollar Qt of oil is empty I think they put the whole thing in the gas tank.

I have not been out there to fully asses the damages really,.. I will take pictures later

My current concern is the gas cap. right now I just have a rag stuffed in there and plastic covering it.

Question about title

I bought my Buddy 50 brand new from a dealer Maryland in 2022, have all the paperwork, registered it in Washington DC with plates and all. Things in my life have changed and I need to sell/donate/get rid of the scooter and I’m realizing I don’t have a title and I’m not positive I ever did? Not sure if anyone has any experience with titles for 50cc scooters in these states and could provide insight. Since I registered it in DC am I able to get a copy of my title?

Royal Alloy engine swap

Hi, this is my first post on Reddit, I'm looking for information on an engine swap for a Royal Alloy gp125, has anyone done the swap with the gp300 engine or know it fits, the frame looks the same but would appreciate some input

Would you buy this? Flooded 2023 SYM Lance Classic 125cc

It's for only $150, worked fine before hurricane. The bike looks immaculate, like new other than being a bit sandy at the wheels. Lives in a garage. The guy tried to start it and it didn't work (obviously).

I wouldn't normally consider flooded vehicles but I've had scooters and they're so easy to work on. I've never rebuilt a flooded vehicle before, tho.

Is it worth it..? What would you do to rescue it?

New belt, and cvt was fully serviced by mechanic last week yet the ticking noises is still there. Im not sure if its the transmission or the secondary pulley is making that noise. Please help. I have to travel 500km next week to KL 😭😭

Is it possible to get a good quality used 125cc scooter for under £1500 in the UK?

I've just passed my automatic CBT and am on a bit of a shoestring budget as I've been out of work for a while, but I need a vehicle for when my new job starts. I'll be doing a 55 mile round trip commute each day, won't need to go above 50mph regularly but would like a bike that can get to at least 60mph in case I need to go on dual carriageways.

I'm struggling to find any options that aren't unknown-brand or unreliable chinese ones. I've heard good things about the Taiwanese Sym and Kymco, but am unsure if their budget ones (Jet 14 and Agility 125) will be able to get up to speed on the faster roads.

What would anyone recommend?

I (might?) have a problem with my ciao!

I recently discovered that my Ciao moped can pedal backwards, and the pedals seem to "drop" backward, feeling a bit loose. I'm not sure if this has always been the case, but it doesn’t seem right? Or maybe it is. I’ve had it for a couple of weeks.

Is this normal for Ciao mopeds, or could there be an issue? Any advice on how to address this would be greatly appreciated :-)

2014 zuma 50fx

I've got a 2014 yamaha zuma 50fx. While attempting to jump it off the polarity was connected incorrectly and now it doesn't crank it just turns over! What component(s) are likely damaged and the reason it no longer fires up?

Scooter-moped-motorcycle

I am so tired of clarifying this. Please stop coming here and saying your moped won't start. Is it a moped? Do you understand the words you are typing? It's basic English. Mo=motor, Ped= pedals. Does it have pedals like a bicycle? If not it's probably a scooter. Do you sit on it like a toilet and it has no pedals connected to a crank? Than it's a scooter. Do you straddle it and it has foot pegs? You have a motorcycle. Do you spin bicycle pedals while engaging a clutch lever? Moped. There is a plethora of resources available to you on all fronts. The moped army loves you if it has pedals and is 2-stoke. They very much dislike you if you ask how to start your tao tao. This sub will do their best to help your tao tao. This sub can't help you if you have foot pegs and straddle your bike. Am I being unreasonable?

Chinese scooters are hit or miss ?

Out of all the cheap Chinese scooters I’ve had, most have only lasted a couple months before serious repairs needed with less than 5k miles usually. (Usually unrepairable)

I’ve had this 2016 Tao Tao powermax 150cc that has been running like a champ and has NEVER had any issues and the bike has 17,812 miles on it as I type this… I give it regular oil changes usually once every other month, and gear oil changes.

(I should also mention I have been riding this 150cc bike everyday for the last 5 months, no issues whatsoever)

Are these Chinese scooters really hit or miss? I feel like some of them last forever and some of them don’t even last to 5k miles or even last a year !

Where is my idle adjustment screw? - Scomadi TL200

Hey guys I have a Scomadi TL200 that stalls out on starting as I suspect the idle revs are too unstable and low.

I’m in a country where we don’t really do our own vehicle servicing and I can’t really find the info online on where exactly is the idle screw.

Could anyone help? Thank you!

Lost my Yamaha Nmax key.

So I lost my actual key (not keyless version). I talked to mechanics who can make key. But someone from my office parking lot pushed the anti-theft feature so I can't insert any keys in there. Help me please 🥲

What upgrades should I get for my aerox?

I have a few questions about tuning my Yamaha aerox 2006. I am thinking about buying a malossi sport 70cc cylinder kit, tpr variator kit and a malossi fly clutch. Everything is stock except that I have an yasuni sport exhaust and it's derestricted.

My first question is do I need to change my stock crankshaft for this cylinder kit or I can keep it stock?

Second question is is this variator kit good for this build and how much grams roller weights should I get for the build?

Third question is what kind of clutch springs should I get for this build?

And the final question is is this actually a good build to do on my aerox and do I need to change something or buy other things to make it work?

Yamaha X City 250 2007 not starting

Hello! I just recently bought this scooter, and sometimes it doesn't want to start. When i turn the key and press the start button I just hear a clicking noise from this piece. And the check engine light is flashing on the dash. Anyone knows what this piece is, or had the same problem? Thanks

BMS scooters?

Hi, I wanted to ask about the brand BMS. I was looking on their website and love that they have the shape of a classic vintage Vespa, just never heard of this brand before. Are they reliable? Thanks!

Hurricane - Well I didn't expect this.

It was fun while it lasted.

My poor kymco bit the dust from Hurricane helene and as much as I've been trying to work on it but it looks like its gone.

The big stinker though? FEMA will not accept it as an applicable vehicle.

It's the only one I have, it's how I get back and forth to work in my small city but because it isn't registered, which my state doesn't require, it is not applicable to FEMA.

So yeah, I guess this is a warning and a heads-up to everyone that if your moped is your only modes of transportation and you have state laws similar to Georgia. Get it registered.

Is it really worth buying Lambretta v50 special?

Is it worth buying Lambretta v50 special?

Hey guys, i need ur advice. I’m about to buy Lambretta v50 special, but i’m not sure for 100%. I use electric vespa for rent every day and it also equals 50cc. But it’s speed limit is 50 km/h. Thats enough for me, but the only thing i don’t like is acceleration especially uphill on a battery level of 50% or less.

So i decided to have a gasoline one as it doesn’t reduce power when the fuel is low. But every page i visit says that the speed limit for lambretta is 45 km/h. I feel it’s not so fast for me as i drive roads with 50 km/h speed limit and 50 is not enough sometimes as the traffic is usually +5-10 km/h faster. I can’t have a test drive as 50cc models are not popular here and they just sell it from the factory

Is 45 km/h for real? The sellers in the store say it can reach 50km/h or even a bit faster. Or they just try to sell it for me?

Also i’m really curious about acceleration. I can’t find any information about it. As i drive between lines in traffic jams and wait in the first position at traffic lights. But all the 125cc and above scooters just go fast from full stop and i’m the one who starts slowly. Of course at the distance i’m faster as the traffic is slow, but i really feel uncomfortable when the car behind me can go faster and can’t overtake me as i have slow acceleration.

I usually drive with my wife and our weight is 100 kg for both. And i cant buy a more powerful one cause i got my first driving license not so long time ago.

And the final question. Is there a speed hack to make it a bit faster? 55-60 km/h is enough for me. Even 50 is good if the top speed is just 50km/h
