Hi I just want to open a discussion on day rates. What would you consider a fair daily rate for someone with 5 yrs of EWM experience?
I have a question about some of the differences between BSEG and ACDOCA. My understanding is that in ECC6 BSEG is the financial document table and is effectively a journal listing whereas ACDOCA houses more information in a more economic way.
Some similarities between them are that SHKZG and DRCRK are effectively the same and give an indication of whether the GL code (HKONT) is being debited or credited and HSL/WSL are the local and document currency amounts respectively and have equivalents DMBTR/WRBTR in ECC6.
However, the amounts columns in ACDOCA tend to have a negative sign appended at the end for negative values whereas BSEG in ECC6 relies on SHKZG only to ensure the journal balances. Moreover, if one ignores the negative signs and attributes a minus only when a credit is indicated by DRCRK, these do not balance.
So my question is, what is the point of having both negative signs AND a Dr Cr indicator and why do they not align in terms of ensuring balancing journals.
Thanks!
SAP has been saying no call transactions for years, but there is no BAPI or other method available to create pricing records, we still have quite a few CALL TRANSACTION VK15 calls in our system, we'd love to get rid of them, they are slow and will be a problem when we upgrade.
Has SAP released any other way to create new pricing records?
Is pricing completely different in S/4?
Currently the sales team is manually entering their forecasts in SAP P2A and they have to go item by item, month by month. Surely there’s a better way to do this?
Is it possible to upload an excel/csv file with multiple items and time periods? Is there a 3rd party plug-in that makes this easier? I would appreciate any suggestions on how to do this more efficiently. Thank you!
Hi there, I'm new with SAP and BW, but I would like to learn about the tool. Which is the best option to learn about BW? I'm struggling a lot trying to find good resources to learn about it. Thanks in advance 🤓
Hi everyone! Never posted here before!
I recently started a basic training series to help users be aware of SQVI where I work. I’m self taught and don’t consider myself to be an expert
One user pulled in a lot of fields and SQVI automatically split her report into “line 1” and “line 2” but when she exports, only some of the data fields she pulled export.
Does anyone know why this happened or what I can do to help her?
Today I am going to try to walk her through her report to see if I can get it to work, I just don’t know what I’ll do if I run into the same issue she did
Thank you!!!
Hello everyone, I’d like to ask about SAPGUI upgrade. I’m now planning to upgrade my company’s SAPGUI (770 or older versions) to the latest 800.
Upon checking, I’ve found that 800 is available in both 32 and 64-bit version. Since we’ve been using 32-bit all along so naturally I’m more inclined to stick with the 32-bit to avoid any incompatibilities. On the other hand, almost all our computers are now 64-bit so perhaps it’s time to switch ?
Any comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated . Many thanks!
Hey All, within SOLDOC is there a report that will show all documents currently checked out? We’re doing some cleanup and need to make sure everything is checked in. Let me know thanks!
I was invited to the bootcamp for sap academy for customer success finally! I heard from someone that if they invite you, it's highly possible they offer you a position. Is that correct? How many people were invited to the bootcamp and how many people were offered a position if you ever went through the process? Any ideas?
Thanks!

Hello. I am a junior BASIS consultant in a big retail company. I am new in this field with 4 months experience.
My manager asked me to search about Cloud ALM and to decide if cloud alm is better than solman which we are currently using.
We use S/4Hana on premise. There are multiple app and dev servers such as ERP, BW, CAR, PI/PO.
Can you kindly help me about this topic?
SAP end user tester/consultant here,
Is it only me or Fiori is really slow for everyone. Like man it takes days to load. Being an end user tester I’ve gotta juggle between test ids login and logout at least 100 time a day.
It takes forever to load. I mean they’re pushing fiori and cloud why isn’t it faster and easy.
Any tips and tricks would really help
Hi, recently I started to dig into Integration Suite and it may be stupid but how does integration from and to S4hana on-prem system works there? I worked with PO mostly and with integrations to on-prem systems I often used SOAP adapter with XI 3.0 and ABAP proxy. As far as I know something like that doesn't exist in Integration Suite so how does it work there? Is there something similar or a way to do something resembling it?
Edit: I think I used the wrong words in the main question. What I ask is how do you consume integrations desinged on Integration Suite using S4/hana on-prem.
Hi,
is anyone experienced or knows a good Guide for Excel RFC Call and BAPI / functional package Execution? Would like to create a user creation form in excel with automated execution.
I know SAP Gui Scripting but it‘s not an option for me.
Thanks for your help in advance
Hi,
I completed 4 rounds in SAP Lab interview process ( 3 Tech , 1 cross LoB) now am waiting for Hr round. How much time it usually takes for SAP to schedule Hr round. FYI my cross lob was completed yesterday. Also what set of questions I can expect in HR round.
Edit : HR round completed, it was only for 15 mins, and for some questions I am worrying that I haven’t answered well enough. But in the last Hr enquired about notice period, current ctc and other info, also he said that he will discuss with HM and come back to me in next week. I am worrying that I might have lost this chance 😬 .
Guys I have been working in SAP security for past 2 years and i have been doing the same work everyday with some minor changes I really got fed up I have changed my project and I am planning to switch to SAP MM any advice.
I would like to run a report for LI and MI cycle counts by user. Is this possible?
I'm confused. I submitted an expense report for $1,700, which is my average, and received no warnings. Yet, it was still sent for auditing. Why could this happen?
Hello everyone,
Are there any "very interesting" topics in the SAP Basis environment except of maybe SAP BTP? I am just getting bored of CloudALM and SAP BTP.. and If I take a look at the roadmap I can't see really cool features or innovations.
So what are the options? How can you keep yourself enthuastic? I am pretty clueless.
I have created a quiz app interface in appgyver with a repeated container contains a container for the question text and a repeated container for the options. I cannot configurate the exact logic and formulas for this quiz to be interactive.
I am working as a SAP NATIVE HANA developer, but I am facing difficulties with the initial data analysis when we receive a requirement from the business. Can you help me with what approach should I use to analyse the data better.
Hello, I have about a year's experience in SAP Transportation Management and am currently working on a project independently, mainly learning through Black Belt videos. I am keen to gain more hands-on experience, but it has been quite difficult to find opportunities. I was wondering if anyone could recommend how I might find some. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the role of SAP Application Consultant, bringing several years of experience as an end-user in the PM module. I'm currently looking to expand my skill set with training in Customizing and both PM and MM modules.
I've noticed that SAP seems to have discontinued training for S3, likely due to its sunsetting in 2027. Most of the available training focuses on S/4HANA or Fiori.
Does anyone have recommendations for training that would be beneficial for an Application Consultant specializing in PM and MM? I'm particularly interested in courses that cover:
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Hello.
I'm integrating C4C with S4 and create account to contact relationships in C4C. After I replicate the resltonship to S4 contact is created in BUT050 table and is created by user CODEINTEG. I would like to know if I can change this so it shows the C4C user creating it in the BUT050 table. Can this be done via sys_user if so would anyone know how.
What financial incentives (if any) is SAP offering to third parties to migrate customers to S/4 Public Cloud? We’re an SME currently on ECC6 which is heavily customised and we’re being contacted by a lot of consulting firms pushing the public cloud to us quite heavily. I’m hearing a lot of “this is in the customers best interests” comments, while they don’t seem to want to talk at all about Private Cloud or on-prem. So this makes me wonder, what’s in it for them (if anything) once the initial implementation is complete?
What I've never really understood throughout my life is that how come there has never been a serious FOSS (or even home-brewed in Microsoft .NET or PHP/MySQL) alternative to SAP. Or maybe there is but it's just the industry perception which has become like that?
It's not as though SAP is without competition though, I believe there are serious candidates here like Microsoft, Oracle, Red Hat, IBM, SalesForce, etc. and these are just the big ones. We are not even talking about the minnows and midcaps. And then there are open source experiments like Odoo and ErpNext which are used here and there but mostly considered toys compared to SAP.
Also, it's quite understandable that the fortune 500 and blue chips of US and Europe buy SAP, it's both within their budgets and needs. But what really fails my rational sense is how come SAP has managed to sell themselves to the Asian businesses and especially the Dhandho businessmen here in India?
These Gujarati and Marwadi millionaires are reputed to be literal sharks when it comes to saving the last penny and screwing the happiness out of their workers and suppliers, just to save a few extra rupees. How come these folks have become such big fans of SAP? One would assume that they'd build themselves a FOSS or Microsoft solution to save few more rupees, instead they're spending crores in SAP licenses. This ain't no rational path at all.
