Hey everybody, I have absolutely no training on SAP. I know it’s probably been answered before, but is there an easy/free way to get trained up on SAP S/4HANA? I know sap has a learning website but it looks like it’s pretty expensive to use their website. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I have a delivery with a cancelled invoice. Even though the invoice is cancelled, the billing status is 'C'.

Does anyone know a program which may correct the billing status in delivery?

I have already tried RVDELSTA, but did not resolved the issue.

We are in current pricing and contract negotiations with SAP and a SAP partner to migrate our CIS/CRM solution to RISE with SAP S/4HANA.

Our current solution is self-hosted in Azure and we are otherwise heavily invested in Azure.

During initial discussions, we were told we could choose the cloud provider - Azure, AWS, or GCP. Now as we are getting to the end of the negotiations, we are told the proposed contract assumed it would be hosted in SAP's cloud and to change it to Microsoft Azure would be significantly more expensive.

Anyone care to share experiences with either - SAP hosted or Azure hosted? Anything to be aware if hosted on either?

Hi all, I need some help with Eclipse and SAP JAVA GUI on Linux, separately they work perfectly, however when I open a report from eclipse into the sap GUI (Java embedded frame) it suddenly freezes and crashes both eclipse the GUI. I'm providing a video. If someone has experienced something like this and managed to resolve it what were the steps?

How does the current demand for SAP projects compare to the number of existing SAP consulting firms worldwide? If someone were to start their own SAP consulting company or work as a freelancer, would it be difficult to secure projects? Also, how do these consulting firms typically acquire their projects? I realize this might seem like a dumb question, but I've never fully understood the business cycle between SAP consulting companies and their clients.

One thing that has always bothered my throughout my career are SAP security audits.

I know usually auditors try to find the most ridiculous things; it's like they earn commission on any findings or something.

But they are usually so strict, even for systems with little or no financial impact, and cause such overhead.

And how do the auditors, who are often not even SAP experts, know what constitutes a breach? Yes, I can understand we're not all supposed to have SAP_ALL, but especially developers often need more access, especially to support Production, and it makes it extremely difficult for us to get the access we need.

So how do they know what to check for, or what constitutes a real threat?

After the seniors left, TL was removed and team became just two people, we're trying to find solutions to new tasks or tasks that were never done before in this project. I'm struggling to find people to network with, to discuss issues, to find answers. Any tips on how to find the community?

How much of a demand is there for this type of linguistic/text analysis within SAP HANA? If there is, how could I go about learning it? My MA thesis was on text mining/sentiment analysis, so having this additional knowledge would make a lot of sense. I am generally interested in SAP HANA and ABAP (since it's about programming), but looking for advice.

I'm new to learning SAP, specifically the functional side of ERP, currently learning MM(materials Management).

I'm debating whether I should get a Mac or windows laptop. I've had windows all my life, and I'm bored of it. But If its much more practical to have it for windows then I won't switch to Mac.

I was hoping someone who has experience in SAP to give their 2 cents on the matter. Should I get the Mac and run SAP on a parallels desktop, or stay on windows altogether?

I am used to creating custom abap cds views in s4hana on premise in eclipse ADT. Is This also possible for s4hana cloud? I know you Can make those simple views by joining standard views via the Query app. But is to not possible to do really custom views in the cloud version ?

I am going through some old paperwork/books and have come across 2 old SAP course books that I attended.

I hate getting rid of documentation and just need a push to dump these 2.

I have from 2002 Asset Accounting (AC305) and from 2003 Data Warehousing (BW310).

Is there any reason to keep these (apart from a reminder of all the money I spent on the courses!)

Is anyone aware of a solution that allows a handling unit to be loaded while the delivery is still being picked?

It seems like there is a limitation in the “advanced shipping and receiving” process that a delivery has to be picked completely before loading can be completed.

Unfortunately, an existing client needs the ability to load pallets into the trailer while the order is being picked due to physical space constraints.

Any ideas?

for sap mm functional module , is it like ,

1. we need to know standard functionalities given by mm module and implement those for customer - ,
2. we need to learn from books about the material management theories like we used to learn from mechanical books in college and implement those custom methodologies with help of ABAPer , or these custom requirement is shared by customer - we don't need to build requirement to solve the problem - how the sap implementation goes around .....?

Hello sap fico colleagues! I'm currently just learning the ropes in fico consulting and would like to seek your opinion regarding the difference between KSU1 and FAGLGA11. Both are for creating assessment cycle, but I do not understand why sap have 2 different t codes. Same goes for KSV1 and FAGLGA31.. Appreciate any enlightenment.
