This might have to be one I upload elsewhere because it is being flagged for some reason. Hopefully this one will post. All of the ripping scenes! Poor Junketsu. He reminds me of any other character that has been used for power and as a tool and told to keep quiet. I'm sure he has a lot to say. Anyway, some really smooth artwork from Yoshinari today! Great stuff.

Wedding Ryuuko, plus more Junketsu! I still feel kinda bad for Junketsu overall. It's a nice detail in the last illustration that he looks super surprised to be literally ripped off of Ryuuko. Love those first two. Ryuuko's expression in that second illustration is just perfect.

More Junketsu Ryuuko action today! A little less refined in the artwork, but these rough drafts are still a treat to look at! Love the first one of Mako standing down Ryuuko in the signature pose. The rest of the post looks like it could have been something of a Fatality screen animation, haha! Or perhaps just a victory animation in Fighting Game. That's what it reminded me of! Ah, the old days of arcade.

The whole color scheme is just brilliant! Lastly, a couple more storyboards. That last face is truly a winner, lmao. Finest Ryuuko I've ever seen. :P

4. The sky is visible through certain spots in the wall. Secondary shot transitions to this. As the camera settles, the color of the sky changes. 

Finishing off this shot, just about! That really was an epic sweep, and I always loved this scene. The first time that I saw it, I was blown away by the whole animation sequence. Kill La Kill just has so many amazing scenes. I remember being so dazzled that I barely paid attention to the story the first time around. :P

More wonderful storyboard work from Yoshinari! I live these ones in particular, because there is so much life to his lines. I also find it very interesting that the 'sparkles' are described in these notes as rifts. How interesting! To think that these tiny rifts form when Life Fibers collide in battle or any of the various other instances that they occur is a wild thought.

2. They tumble one over another while the camera stays fixed free. As they fight, details flash in and out of focus. Life Fibers, for example, or sparks from their Swords. Two people fighting in the sky. 

Sisters in battle-mode! This was a very fast and detailed fight, so I'd say that it turned out how they wanted it! I remember watching this for the first time and just being totally blown away by how cool it was. There still is nothing that looks cooler than the art style of Kill La Kill. It is the absolute perfect merging of style. Nothing can ever compare, at least to me.
