So I am going into my first year and I was wondering how are the gyms on campus? Do I have to find a gym off campus?
Hi all! I was wondering if anyone have been a part of the convocation and had the free gown rental, what time do you have to return the gown by?
I would like to take some pictures around campus and want to foresee how much time I have😅
Are there any TMU and Business Management Servers on discord???
i am currently in BM (first year), i wanted to change my program to finance and accounting but it says that i’m not eligible to change my program, is it a matter of that i can’t change my program at all or just for the current time?
Does anyone know what scrubs you're allowed to wear for the nursing program at ryerson? I'm gonna be a first year and I'm not sure if it's any colour or specific ones you have to buy. Also what items would I need as a first year nursing student?
Hey Guys Im a first year BM student and didn’t choose a lower liberal course on the 9th and now most or every one is full or wait listed which I don’t want to be waitlisted. My osap course load is 5 courses 100 percent and w out a liberal course im at 4 this sem. What should I do I have 5 mandatory courses next sem. Any feedback is really appreciated
If a class is closed on RAMSS does that mean come course enrolment for my year I won’t be able to take it? Most of the lower liberals offered are closed and I’m really dreading taking one of the ones that aren’t.
So I currently switched programs within the school and since I'm a first year again, they automatically enrolled me into my classes. However, since I finished a lot of the mandatory courses for my new program in my old one, I'm only enrolled into 3 courses. I managed to add another course in leaving me with 4/5 courses, but all the other courses I want to take are basically full. I'd rather not take a course just for the sake of getting a credit. I know the course availability may fluctuate, but if I still can't get in, I'll be sticking to 4 courses instead of 5.
Now that I'm no longer taking a 100% course load, do I need to update this information? I'd technically be taking an 80% course load. If I do need to update this information, how do I do so?
I have 6 courses left and plan to complete them this upcoming fall semester? The deadline for applying to graduate is in 2 days??
I heard of a method to switch program by dropping all your mandatory courses in first year and switch them for easier ones to get better grades. Is it a good method and if so what courses would I take, from the wanted program courses, open electives, or liberals? And did anyone manage to successfully succeed?
I have my own vehicle but I've heard finding parking near campus is either very difficult or expensive. Are there any bus/transit routes that are more cost/time efficient?
And if so, are there student discounts on passes?
Edit: Has anyone ever tried SpotHero?
I’m planning on joining at least three clubs. Will this be doable while also maintaining a high gpa for co-op?
Hello! I am currently on my fourth year and decided to take GMS 850 before BUS 800. I am currently enrolled in GMS 850 with Michael Manjuris this upcoming fall semester. Any advice on this course and how do I succeed? Thanks
How was it? Would you recommend?
Hello fellow students! Wondering if any one has had experience having class with professors Matthieu Lajante or Osama Butt. Just seeking some insight on either and it would be greatly appreciated as I am deciding which one of the two to choose mkt 702.
I am on a waitlist for 2 of my courses. For one I’m the 1st on and the other I’m 3rd. Should I be concerned or it shouldn’t be a problem getting into them.
I need someone to explain this to me cuz i feel like i’m getting hustled .
So the university says that I have the right to repeat a course up to 3 times, though only the latest course I take will be counted towards my GPA, whether i receive a higher or lower grade than my previous attempts.
That being said, I chose to repeat a course I had previously received a D- for, this spring/summer semester. Fortunately, I got an A this time. However, after looking at my transcripts, I noticed one singular issue that defeats the purpose of course repetition, unless I’m missing the point, someone on here cares to explain.
The biggest issue i have is with the “Total Units Taken”. Last semester, I had reportedly taken 31 units. This semester, it says I have taken 33, totally disregarding one-of-the-two courses i took this semester was a course repeat and thus, should replace the previous unit I have taken. Thus, the actual units I have taken should’ve been 32.
For the sake of argument, let’s say I have take 33 units, thus far, including my course repeat. That would entail the theoretical maximum grade yield is 50% (i.e 0/4.33 first try, 4.33/4.33 second try), which is not fair for obvious reasons.
Just need someone to explain this to me cuz it’s seems bogus at the moment.
Hey y'all. I'm going to Ryerson/TMU in September, and one of the mandatory courses I am enrolled in is SCI180, which is an orientation course that is graded pass/fail. It's meant to help students transition to uni, and the course info is here: https://www.torontomu.ca/calendar/2021-2022/courses/science/SCI/180/
I need to keep a full course load (5 courses) but this course is ambiguous to me. On one hand, it is only 1 hour a week and is pass/fail. On the other hand, it counts for a grade and Western med school admissions emailed me saying if it is awarded a credit like any other course then they will consider it as part of the full course load. I've heard mixed reviews about what admissions ppl say so hence I am here. Someone mentioned this is a p/f course so won't affect my gpa. Any advice or ppl in similar situation? All science students have to take this course.
Hi guys so I saw I have an 8 AM class and I was wondering if it was possible to change to being in the afternoon (since I commute). How would I do that?
Please any advise on how to get cheap monthly parking at Toronto Met U Victoria Building
