I went through a lot of videos and posts, but all of them seem to have a completely different tech tree or outdated. I tried to play as Austria, but I couldn't even find a way to form the austro hungarian. Is there a way to form the HRE with Austria or Germany?
As the title says, China is swamped with a shitton of debuffs at the start. I'm struggling to find out which focuses are required to get rid of them. For example I thought the industrial tree would get rid of incompetent industry but I can only do the top focus and everything else is blocked. Can anyone tell me which focuses specifically I need to get rid of each debuff? Thanks.
Does anyone know I will be very grateful if someone could LMK
I mean sure you can't do anything about the awful hoi4 AI where it will yeet half it's land army into the ocean to be sunk by subs.... but poland is about to rebel and Hungary is about to take it for themselves... and I am goign to have to tag switch, use the yesman cheat code to give state control back, which means i have to play a few hours as germany, which mean when i tag switch back to italy my entire tmeplates will be changed and my armies will all be put under 43095843856743 general template with no general attached
Sometimes I wonder if I should go back to hoi3
How do you activate or release them?
Context: Im gonna play a 5 man game today with some friends and i know that they are gonna pick major strong countries, such as germany and ussr. We are all not that good but i will have to face a Hitler germany and i want to play france, now i want to know what path is the strongest to take as france and if you guys have any tips for playing france in Rto56
He probably wont attack in '39 but rather 40-41.
Thanks in advance!
Been giving it a few attempts as Austria with the "Go It Alone" focus path, but no matter what I do I seem to get steam-rolled by Germany. I feel like I could stand a chance if the Civil War didn't happen, but right now it just destroys my front lines.
Has anyone been able to make it work? Is there a way to avoid the Austrian Civil War? I've been doing the fight influence decision minigame but I can't seem to get rid of most of them by the time Anschluss happens.
Thanks!
I don't understand how I'm supposed to crush the Nazi. I feels like no matter how vigilant I am, I can bever control enough to crush the Nazis. It feels like the option to defend the tile does nothing unless instead of doing a +1 it does +2 when you don't fortify it. Either way, I must be doing something wrong, does anyone know how I'm supposed to be doing it?
Looking for other mods to add alongside RT56 for an enhanced vanilla+ experience without too much unnecessary bloat and extra mechanics/contradictory stuff. I like the look of some stuff, but it’s just a headache figuring out what all is compatible and not or what works well together.
Just wondering if anyone out there has a nice curated mod list I could use
Currently playing the USSR with the Left Opposition and just ignited the Civil War.
I know Trotsky is a pretty bad leader in Vanilla and my first impression of the bonuses compared to Smirnov is also pretty bad. But Trotsky seemingly gets some more modifiers later on and I'm not sure if these focuses would make him a better option.
Does Smirnov get any advantages later on?
Which one is the better pick?
I have no way of fighting back and civil war will probably start soon.
and it's a big but because this is a huge immersion breaking. game breaking, hours wasting issue that comes up alot in this mod............ is that when you are playing on historical................ non historical things always happen for example. Finland joins the allies and Russia and Allies are at war before barb (fixed by setting finland to neutral in game settings)
Now the UK just declared war on Ireland........ which kinda scrwed me over because I usually invade Ireland and then from Ireland invade the UK (I mean you can say this is a pro gamer 100000000 IQ move by the AI to counter that.......... but lets be real here, it didn't do it for that reason, but because it just wanted to or it did a focus or whatever happened)
There are a few others issues I noticed too, one was Hungary refusing to join the Axis for most of my game. (I used yesman console cheat and made them join and then turned it back off)
So what do I do in my next game as italy (or germany/japan) to stop this?
Once again, thanks for the mod. I've been playing it alot lately and it's given me countless hours of fun!
Been checking in every few months to see if this bug was fixed. Everytime a monarchy is restored it shows some random dude. Has been at least two years.

Do you think it would be possible to update Neckrowombaticon? I have played it recantly and I noticed that its missing some of its original content (probably because of DLC's). Its really fun to play so I hope that Road creators could update it.
I'm not familiar with Japanese politics at the time but I always thought Hirohito was the head of state at the time. Why is Fumimaro Konoe used instead of him in the mod? Was he the actual head of state? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I really don't know much about WW2 Japanese politics.
Hi, I just downloaded the mod, and tried starting with an italy run, but everytime I open the focus tree games just freezes and crashes, doesnt even show a crash report tab, I tried playing a bit wothout picking a focus, I waited a week since the start of the game without problems, but the moment I clicked the alert of no focuses picked, it crashes again. Already tried verifying game files. What else could I do?
I recently played a game where I opened with an espionage blitz, and I just want to say to the devs: thank you for adding more spy stuff. The base game is good, but you've made it so much better with just a few smart additions.
Really, the only way I could think of to improve this would be to add a compliance boost for propaganda missions on non-core territories, but that may be possible, hard code-wise.
I'm kinda stuck rn as the German Empire, I've rebuilt my country to be an industrial superpower, strengthend the army, but just can't fight anyone because world tension is too low. I assumed there'd be a national focus to get revenge on the Allies or something but I can't find it. I can't invite Austria to my faction because they're not Austria-Hungary. I'm just kind of stuck here now with nothing to do. Am I missing something? I got cores in Poland but can't even justify because world tension is too low. How do I get into fights as the German Empire?
Some graphical Mods like german historical flag etc. dont work on rt56, are there any mods that change flags to historical ones that actually work on road to 56?
There doesn't seem to be an effective check for military strength, ideology, faction membership, or puppet status for Switzerland to annex Austria and parts of France/Occitania and Italy/Venice/Sardinia-Piedmont. I'm really sick of suddenly losing puppets and allies midway through a game to an alt-history meme.
I am thinking on playing this mod, but i would like to know if i have to start a new game to play the mod or if i can continue a vanilla game with the mod.
I like to play this mod at alternate history, so i really like the different lore and to have new paths for countries. For example, im playing rn as Mexico, creating a big faction (almost all of LATAM), while at war against the Axis and China, getting prepared to war with the US and the Allies (liberate the Antilles). Do you have any suggestions for countries/ cool paths for having a great gameplay experience?
