I'm never quite sure how this should work since I've seen people straight up just link their own videos with no comments before, but I made a series that explores how the length of time spent on action scenes affects their quality by comparing and contrasting The Matrix with the sequels. Basically I broke it down into 3 basic goals for action scenes: be shorter in general, tell an internal story when longer, and make sure the more time spent on a scene the more relevant the scene is to the overall story.  I looked at how much screen time each movie gave to action (it starts around 24% runtime for Matrix, up to 41% runtime for Revolutions), and what The Matrix did with its time that was so much better.

While obviously this is a pretty direct fix for The Matrix Sequels, I think my ideas are generally necessary to think about when making any kind of action scene (or really any scene in general).  Hope you all like them.
