A sports sub for the red-flag wavers.
Welcome to /r/redsports!
We are a sub designed to talk about sporting events in the context of socialism.

Additionally, because this is a socialist sports sub:
LASTLY
We are a socialist sports sub. If you are not a socialist, by all means feel free to post here, but please do not argue non-sports politics if you are not a socialist (/r/CapitalismVSocialism exists for this exact purpose). If you are not a sports fan, by all means feel free to post here, but if you are uneducated about the sport in question, please do not argue about said sport.

Hi all! It's been forever. Life happens. I've made new text flairs for the sub, based on the biggest sports in the room (and pro wrestling). Hope they're well liked. Was also looking for this sub's opinion on golf, as I was divided on making a "Golf" or "Fuck Golf" flair.
Like Sankt Pauli, Celtic etc , but I heard they are primarily apolitical in NL
I’m curious if anyone has recommendations for books or articles dealing with sports fandoms/tailgates as foundations for political movements (either left-wing or fascist)?
I’m an Philly sports fan and Marxist trying to grapple with the fact that the only place I feel large-scale community in our increasingly-isolated world is at tailgates and in stadiums. Looking to write about it.
Thanks
