/r/ReagentTesting
This sub-reddit is dedicated to providing accurate information about Reagent Testing drugs (and other analysis methods). Drug Testing Reagents are chemical solutions that change in color when applied to a chemical compound. They can help determine what chemical might be present in a given sample. In many cases they do not rule out the possibility of another similar compound being present in addition to or instead of the one suspected.

I can tell from the taste pretty much what it is, but I just got my marquee reagent test so I just want to start becoming familiar with the results. It started as almost like a clear purple and got darker.
I have a problem, the Hofmann test is turning gray / green instead of blue as it should. I wonder if this is because of the very dark blotter art which is almost fully black in some places?
The Ehrlich test turned pink/purple quickly and vibrantly
It is from a very respected source and I highly doubt it would not be good, but you never know right.
Any feedback and help would be appreciated!
I opened
I know I’m stupid, I accidentally made contact with my eye after using the kit. My eye is slightly irritated and eye lid feels a bit heavy. I’m concerned. Ran my eye under cold water.
Hi everyone. Emanuel here, DanceSafe founder. I am no longer associated with DanceSafe. I now work for a new nonprofit called Grassroots Harm Reduction that better reflects my values. I haven't been on Reddit in years but decided to spend a lot more time here now because other social media platforms are getting way too ridiculous.
And check out our newest product. It's a stylish reagent storage case that can hold up to 10 small dropper bottles. Takes up less room than the standard safety containers. All proceeds go to local, independent harm reduction orgs.

Tested with Simon's.
Similar results as mdphp, mdpv, ect perhaps? And/or how to tell if freebase or hcl?
Ordered from a (what I consider reputable) vendor that I've got mdpihp from before. The appearance is very different tho (shade off white and light and powdery vs denser orange/red/brownish from previous batch), smells similar tho. I have tried it IN and vaped but the effects are very lackluster and short duration. Also turns same orangish color as previous batch when vaped.
May be from higher stim tolerance now but would like to test if possible. If I can tell it's not FB, I plan to FB as I hear it vapes better that way but ideally, of course, would like to verify what I have
First two are Marquis, Second row are Simon’s then last are Froehde. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance!
Was testing a white powder substance I found at my friends place that I suspect is an amphetamine like speed and when I tested it, it fizzed up like crazy. The reagent is a couple years old and has just been chilling in my dresser, could it have gone bad?
Hello all! I recently bought the Marquis reagent from bunk police because I read that was the best to test MDMA. In the little booklet it gave me it says to first use the Mariquis reagent, then Mecke, and finally Simon to properly test MDMA. If my results come back matching with just the first test (and a fent test strip) can I assume I am most likely alright to consume? What substances would make the test match with the Marquis but react differently with the others?
So right one is basic Cocaine/Crack EZ test, right one is EZ test Cocaine cuts. Does that one indicate lidocaine/benzocaine? These two should turn the test brown and the top seems brown to me. Or is it just oxidation?
I also did EZ test Cocaine Purity and that one turned darkest color.
EDIT (REAGENT SOLUTION): Vigorously shake the reagent bottles for ~1 minute (you have to feel the crystals going up and down in the bottle). Then place (before the reagents) ONE (ONLY ONE) drop in the sample holder and then put the crystals. You shouldn't put a lot, just enough quantity to "absorb" the drop. EDIT (TLC SOLUTION): Never use a drop of the pipette as sample concentration is too much. Be sure that you are diluting 40mg of substance into 0.5ml testing liquid. It might help to compare 1ul/2ul side by side (an ul being a drop from the microtube) Check comments under this post for details.
Hello, I've recently purchased reagent & TLC kits from PROTest. I've got some amphetamine in liquid form (taken via nasal spray) and wanted to test it. I've already taken amphetamines before and this one has the same effect, so I think we could tell that there's gotta be some amphetamines in this liquid, even the side effects are the same, really no difference.
When testing, initially, I put the Marquis crystals and a drop of sample on it. Nothing happened. I did the same with Mecke however it had a little orange (it was very very unnoticeable, just a hint of orange).
Since this was very strange, I then tried adding a drop to a piece of napkin (the ones you use to blow your nose, essentially) and then putting Marquis crystals on it. The crystals near the napkin started to turn orange but not too much. I did Mecke using the same method and, this time, nothing happened. I then did Robadope A+B with the dry paper method, so I placed the napkin piece, added 1 drop of sample, added 1 drop of Robadope A and then 1 drop of Robadope B. Nothing happened.
Still confused I did the TLC test. Grabbed a vial and put 0.5mL (as said on the ruler) of sample and 0.5mL of primary solvent, shaked for 2 minutes or so, using the microtube I added the drop, added ~2-3mL solvent in the jar and let it do its things. Came back 30mins later, let it dry for 5, using the UV light I couldn't see any spot. So I grabbed another paper, but this time I put a drop with the pipette, did the same process and I could indeed see a spot around 100%.
Could someone please tell me what I could be doing wrong? I'm sorry if I don't have any photos but I discovered about this subreddit much later (while trying to search) and didn't take any photos.
Sorry about the video quality and the specks on the table are dried paint. The one I’m dropping in the video is the Marquis reagent and the one I pan to mid video is the Froehde reagent. I did the Froehde about 3 minutes prior to the Marquis. It looks pretty good to me but there’s a speck of orange and the permittee of the majority green colour is a light blue in the Froehde. I’ll post two other relevant pictures in the comments.
I just bought a new set of test kits, my previous set got contaminated for improper fridge storage. I am going to buy small glass bottle droppers and couple of syringe to transfer 50% of the reagent into these glass bottles for long term freezer storage and another 50% in refrigerator for time to time use.
Will transferring the liquid a problem cause by contamination? Idk, maybe through air?
Is this a good idea?
I’m spun, tired, and no good at this.
Morris was like 120 seconds Marquis was like 80 Liebermann was roughly 60
Thinking either amphetamine or meth or both. Tried to take a video of the process but my phone died on me.
ive used both marquis and liebermann to test for 2-cb and to my understanding theyve tested positive but when i try to use mandelien i get nothing. the kits are about a week old form reagent kits uk and have been stored in a cool dark place.
It just feels different than quality product that I've gotten from the same guy before. Questions are:
how much do i need to dump for an accurate test per drop? Don't want to waste too much.About 80% through a teener, but I want to do the rest of it, regardless of what it is. Hasn't killed me yet.
what surface can i do it on that won't fuck up the results? I dont have any of those fancy tester platters I see on here, nor do I have any white ceramic plates. Can I just do it on any old visible surface like a plastic lid, orrrr...???
Tested many things in the past, but mostly on the fly at music festivals outta water bottle caps or similar.
How do I read these tests Simon’s on left with no tag blue is Scott’s.
Right hand side top - marquis (pale yellow) Right hand side middle - Simon’s (instant blue) Right hand side bottom - Mecke (no change)
Left hand side top - none Left hand side middle - libermann Left hand side bottom - ropeadope
I tested a blotter and it turned immediately yellow on one side (procaine?) and on the other part red, did it a few times on blank blotters but same reaction every time, then I got crystal Ehrlich and exactly the same reaction again. Anyone know?
I’ve purchased the Ehrlich Reagent to test my LSD, but there’s been some talk of LSD in my area being laced with PCP and other junk. Just posting here to ask if there’s another reagent I’d need to buy to test for other stuff or if the Ehrlich one would be enough. I know I could probably just send it to a Lab to be 100% but I’m trying to have this tested by next Friday and I’m not sure a Lab would be done by then.
Ketamine tested with liebermann on the left, and morris in the middle and third( just tried using different sizes thats why its two samples) Any thoughts? First time doing this, I believe this is positive for ketamine but just want to hear opinions from u guys. Thank youu
