/r/ReagentTesting
This sub-reddit is dedicated to providing accurate information about Reagent Testing drugs (and other analysis methods). Drug Testing Reagents are chemical solutions that change in color when applied to a chemical compound. They can help determine what chemical might be present in a given sample. In many cases they do not rule out the possibility of another similar compound being present in addition to or instead of the one suspected.

I ordered a Robadope kit domestically from Elevation Chemicals, and it just came in the mail. I have not unscrewed the cap either. I noticed that Robadope A looks dark, like an older reagent. Robadope B is clear.
Wondering if new Robadope A is supposed to be this color, or if I was sold a kit that has been in storage for too long.
Hi peeps, got a crystal which was said to be MDMA. Not experienced with testing. The foto is taken after ~30min. There was no instant reaction, it took some time to develop the color (except Marquis had a slight yellow in the beginning). What do you think?
hey so im wondering if there's a definitive (/almost) list of which solvents are better for which substances when using the protestkits.eu TLC kit. for example, say primary solvent: tryptamines, phenethylamines etc, cocaine solvent: x, y, z . you get the idea, or is it a simple case of cannabinoids = cannabinoid solvent, cocaine = cocaine solvent, and everything else = primary solvent ? thanks in advance!
Marquis and Froehde dont seem to have any reaction. The substance was slightly Redish/pinkish when it arrived. This my first time doing a reagent test, so im Not too experienced in interpreting the results. As far as i can tell this seems to indicate Cathinones. If anyone more experienced wants to add some information please go ahead.
I know it’s supposed to have a light yellow color, but it had almost no color change. maybe the slightest yellow tint but it does not look as yellow as the bunk police reaction video.
hypothetically why is this?
Is there any reagent that can detect this class of synthetic cannabinoids (and not just indazoles like K2)?
I also have a question about the 4-ap reagent, is it possible that it takes on an intense blue color caused by synthetic cannabinoids (recognized as thc?) are there synthetic seeds like thc-p that could detect false positives? I noticed that using the 4-ap reagent on buds and poor quality Hashish I obtained a very vivid and saturated blue, while a more valuable weed shows me a "purple/dark blue" color, I don't know if it's a coincidence
Thanks for any help!
Picked up some gel tabs a couple days ago. Ehrlich's failed three times, there's maybe a hint of purple initially, but then it just mixes in to the rest of the brown and it's so faint that it's hard for me to tell if it's even there. Hoffman's passed right away, very obvious blue tint after about 60 seconds. I've also tasted a small dose (about a tenth of a tab) and it was entirely flavorless so I know they aren't n-bombs. My instinct says that these are definitely legit, especially considering the general trust I have in the source I got them. I've heard stories on this sub of Ehrlich's not reacting with gels, just wondering what everyone else's thoughts are.
Marquis went instantly from deep purple to black. Simon A+B quickly turned deep blue. Mandelin turned deep purple to black with a little bit of green on edges. Substance tested was from a grey pill. Is this MDMA?
Below is an example of a sample using Simon’s reagent test.
I happen to be colorblind so I can’t figure out if it’s reading properly. Seems right but an extra set of eyes wouldn’t hurt!
Thanks in advance!
I have a sample I need tested. As I'm sure everyone is aware the go to lab in the USA is shut down and not taking samples. So I'm trying to find a lab that I can send my sample to. I'm in the USA so they must accept international samples. Energy control in Spain seemed promising however they don't have listed the substance I need tested as one they can identify. My sample is supposed to be clobromazolam. I can not find a lab to send my sample to that can verify that it is indeed clobromazolam. If anyone knows of any labs that can identify it and takes samples from the USA I would really appreciate the help. I looked thru the list here and none seem to be what I'm looking for. Your help is appreciated. Thank you
I’m colourblind so wanted some extra conformation on these results, Marquis top left, Froedhe top right, Mecke bottom.
Ordered a speed test kit but someone mixed up the package. Decided to test anyway to check what kind of substance it might be.
I have adhd and already responded positively to speed (adding this info because people with adhd experience amphetamine differently). My usual supplier got busted and had to find a new one. This stuff has absolutely no effect except for burning my nose.
I already know there isn't any amphetamine but I'm still curious what did I get? Gonna test it again with Marquis, Robadope and Simons once I get them to shed some more light on the substance.
Join Here's the link to the pictures: https://imgur.com/a/OyTWDIq It contains a picture of the pill powder in the ceramic container, one with the results. The pill is orange which might have altered the results. With that in mind it looks good to me. Any help appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I've just got this test hanging around. I don't have any coke, nor do I plan on getting any, would it be of any value testing it on my 2C-B? I've already done a Marquis test which showed up positive for 2C-B.
Thank you 🙏
I can’t find an answer to this. Is there a minimum amount of the drug required when putting a drop of the reagent on it?
Thanks!
Edit: thanks for the answers ya’ll are awesome
I did Marquis, Simon’s and Froehde on a few samples of pressed Molly (as the Dance Safe kit instructed) and here’s what I got:
Marquis was a reddish-purple (indicating possible presence of heroin — should have been purple —> black but it never quite got there)
Simon’s A+B reacted as intended (white —> blue, indicating MDMA).
Froehde reacted as intended (black with blueish undertones, indicating MDMA)
Since one of the samples indicated possible presence of Heroin I ran a few more tests that could possibly react with Heroin (Mandeline, Mecke, and Lieberman) and all three reacted with a very dark purple/almost Black color.
In the case of Mandeline and Mecke it seems to apply it’s NOT heroin
In the case of Lieberman it could indicate positive for Heroin but also positive for MDMA so probably not a good measurement
