I have a bedroom for rent in a house in the Bellevue area of Northside.
Corner house so no issue with parking and it is also within walking distance to the shops on Bellevue and MacArthur and relatively close to Bryan Park. It is a three bedroom two bath house with two people currently living here. The bathroom LR/DR and kitchen are shared.
I do have two dogs so it is a pet friendly environment with a fenced in backyard and deck with a bonus Raised Bed vegetable garden.
It is a THC friendly and progressive household, no drugs, minimal alcohol.
I am looking for someone a bit older, maybe in their 40's, who is respectful of others, responsible for themselves and preferably not WFH.
I am asking $600.00 per month and of third of the utilities with a $600.00 Deposit.
If you are interested DM me with any questions.
Couple with a dog seeking a house near short pump/west end. Can pass credit check, etc. Move in dates flexible between now and then.
Hey I'm looking for housing in the city, preferably walkable/bikeable. I'm 30, like playing guitar, cooking new recipes and going to rock shows in town. I'm flexible on the move in date. I don't have pets but love animals. Thanks Reuben 8287678549
I have a room for rent in Henrico (west end) available as soon as Feb 1st. There is a shared bathroom next to the room but we don't have guests often, so you'd have almost full access. We do have pets (cats and dogs), so please no other pets. Rent is $1000/month with utilities included and full house access. It's just me and my hubby and our pets, we are lowkey and 420 friendly. We would prefer someone older or late 20s-mid 30s but honestly someone who pays rent on time is preferred. 1 month security deposit (can be used as last months rent) and first month rent is needed to move in. We are flexible and can answer any questions you have!
Anyone know of any apartments in the area that allow fish tanks? like 1 or 2 40-75 gallon tanks? trying to figure out a housing plan for them without having to rehome our flowerhorn and oscar. We also have two cats!
Hello all I moved from western Henrico at the end of 2020 back to my hometown due to the pandemic and unfortunately got evicted in 2022 due to me being hospitalized and out of work for a little while so I was unable to finish paying the last 2 months of rent on my lease. I ended up homeless living in a hotel and hopping around from family and friends until I could get stable again. I want to pay my eviction off but the neighborhood actually no longer exists and has been renamed and under new management. I work remotely decent pay but I can always supplement my income with a second job not too worried about that part. Are there any properties possibly in western Henrico or even downtown that give second chances or will rent without all the credit checks? Someone told me to try Staples Mill Townhouses or Legacy at Mayland which I’m familiar with just thought I’d come to Reddit first before I begin actually reaching out to properties and applying. Im willing to pay an additional or larger deposit as well. I’m still trying to figure out how to go about getting the balance paid if possible but the court told me I’d probably have to wait for the judgement to fall (7 years) and there’s not much the court can do they just host the eviction and post the judgement. It also doesn’t come up on my credit report at all or under public records/judgement. I’m assuming it comes up on a general rental history report. Outside of that I don’t really have anything on my report and have always had pretty decent credit(650+). Planning to move within 3-6 months so if anyone has any property’s or even private landlords that could potentially help please let me know! Thanks!
🚨 Important Information for Potential Tenants of Walter Ford 🚨 I am sharing this on behalf of my partner and his friends to bring attention to concerns they’ve experienced with their landlord, Walter Ford. If you’re considering renting from him, please be aware of the following: • Inappropriate behavior: Some tenants, particularly women, have reported feeling uncomfortable living in the property. • Unannounced visits: Walter has arrived at the property without prior notice and entered the home without permission, including late at night. • Tenant rights concerns: Tenants have been pressured to move out without proper 30-day notice and asked to find replacements for individual rooms, with rent increases threatened if they do not comply. • Unprofessional conduct: There have been instances where tenants felt disrespected, including being cursed at or spoken to aggressively. • Property maintenance issues: ◦ The front door was reportedly broken and could not be locked for several months, which made tenants feel unsafe. ◦ There are unresolved repair issues, such as holes in the ceilings, that have persisted for years. • Business practices: Walter Ford also owns Wally’s Wholesale in Manakin-Sabot, where concerns about inappropriate behavior in the workplace have been shared by others. This post is based on firsthand experiences and observations. If you are considering renting from Walter Ford or working with him, I recommend doing thorough research and reaching out to current or former tenants to learn more about their experiences. If you’d like further details or have similar concerns, feel free to contact me directly. Everyone deserves a safe, respectful, and professional living environment.

Hello I'm looking for 2 roommates that are looking for housing. I'm currently taking over a lease for a 4 bedroom/2.5 bathroom house (thanks to a terrible "landlord" smh) nearby VCU. You will have to fill out an application and show proof of income (at least 2 months). First months rent and security deposit total is $1750. Then after that the rent will drop significantly to $600 plus water/electric/sewer bill split between 4. Washer and dryer hookup included. Pets are fine even though the other roommate has a cat. I work in sales marketing so I'm always out during the day. When I'm in the house I just mind my business and clean around the house. If you have any questions just hmu.

Hey! I'm a 28yo nonbinary looking for a roommate in the Richmond area around early to mid March!
I'm organized and social but I do work a full time 9-5 office job. My commute to work is already super long so moving around/to an area outside Richmond is on the table. I don't have any pets but I love them so that's not a problem. Not a smoker/drinker.
I can afford an individual rent ~1200 per month but would prefer lower. Please drop a reply or PM me if interested!
36 year old Latino male. I'm an industrial mechanic by trade. I work in Mechanicsville. I Don't do drugs, don't drink (maybe a beer once a blue moon), and don't smoke.
Looking for a room mate to share a two bedroom apartment either in Pointe At River City (Rent will be $577 plus half of utilities) or Nottingham Greene (Rent will be $600 plus half of utilities for two bedroom or $350 plus 1/3 of utilities). Planning to move after January 09, 2025. Prefers another male who speaks Spanish. Open to 3, 6, and 12 month room mates if that is more flexible for the other person. Other room mate is a recently immigrated Cuban who works in construction and is learning English. Please send me a message if interested.
Hi everyone! I'm moved from Florida to Richmond for work!
Here are the details: Budget: under $1,200/month Move-in Date: January 1st week or close
About Me: 24-year-old cis male Clean, organized, and social. Respectful of others' space.
Will mostly be gone during working hours and rarely have guests/friends over
About My Dog: I have a large, sweet dog who will live with me. She hasn't lived with other pets before, and while she's reactive to small animals, she can warm up to other dogs with a gentle introduction.
I'm open to any housing type-house, loft, apartment, or townhouse. Sex/gender of potential roommates doesn't matter as long as you're a considerate, reasonable, and moderately clean person. Prefer someone closer to my age.
If you have a place or know of anything available, feel free to message me, and we can chat more. Thanks so much for your help!
Hi so I’m a 34 year single male. Starting a new job in downtown Richmond. I checked out some areas to live at and The Fan apartment prices for the sqft are just a bit out of my price range.
Currently looking at Centennial Terrace on E Main St and then The Jamestown on w14 st. Wondering if folks can give me their thoughts on these areas or even living in the apartments if you had the chance. Also, any thoughts on the old Manchester area? Every time I ask people about where to live they never mention that area, usually Churchill, short pump, The Fan, Museum district, or Shockoe. As far as living in Old Manchester it would be in one of the loft apartments by the river I’d be choosing.
I figured if I did want to go into the city I’d be a short drive away being in Old Manchester. Is that area fun?
My best friend and I (25 and 22 year old transfems, respectively) are looking for a third roommate to take over our current roommates lease! Preferably someone queer in our age range, but relatively flexible!
House is smallish but well furnished and recently renovated, 3 beds 2 baths, located in the mosby court area. Rent is 700 plus utilities!
Feel free to comment or DM for more details! Move-in date is mid/late January.
Hi everyone! I have a cute cat. Here's the apartment info
DM me directly if interested!
I have a condition and it makes me really dizzy and I have depth perception issues so it’s hard for me to walk up and down steps. I transferred from one complex to a sister one so I could live in a ground floor instead of second floor. Now after some time the only entrance to my apartment is grass and after walking on it and the apartment not keeping up with it it’s all mud, I’m slipping and sliding and falling trying to access my apartment. I called the office and they expect me to walk up two flights of stairs, across a little bridge type thing and then down two flights of stairs, and when I mentioned that it’s hard for me to walk up and down steps due to a medical condition she said she’d have maintenance out there that day to look now it’s been days and I saw the maintenance guys going down the street for another issue and I stopped to see when they could take a look and they had no idea what I was talking about because the leasing property manager never mentioned anything to them. So I ask them and they say the only thing I can do is use the steps and stop walking on the grass. I’ve fallen down steps (different ones just in general) countless times this year because of my depth perception and dizziness issues and I’m so scared I’m gonna seriously hurt myself but I’m already falling having to walk through the mud.
Living currently in Mechanicsville ISO a studio apartment or a bedroom for rental. Looking for something affordable for someone who’s graduated college. First time renter, so I’d like something in between $600-$950/month. Can do basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, etc) to try and reduce rental price.
I'm a 29 year old female looking for a single room to rent for hopefully below 500 a month.
