SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW OPEN TO ALL!! PLEASE READ THE RULES BEFORE POSTING:
Use the following format when naming your submissions: Artist - Title (Year)
Use youtube, soundcloud or another similar site that works for everyone.
Please try to keep close to the spirit of Quiet Storm music. If you would like an overview of the sound, the wikipedia article is a good start. It is definitely possible to branch away from the basic concept of Quiet Storm music into other genres and styles, but I will remove songs that stray too far away or go against the grain of the overall sound at my own discretion.
Feel free to post one or two songs per 24 hour period if you are so inclined. And search before posting to avoid duplicates, there's a lot of great music that would fit this style. Reposts are allowed after one year. Try to post clips with above-average audio quality, to enhance the listening experience.
Please just submit one song at a time. Please do NOT submit full length albums or "3 hour quiet storm mix" clips. I like to look at this subreddit as similar to a radio station being built one song at a time, like bricks laying a foundation.
If either a) you made the song yourself, AND/OR b) you have posted the same clip to more than two other subreddits in the past 60 days, it probably doesn't belong here. Please address any questions about this rule to the moderation team.

My go to song when I'm dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety. It's a masterpiece and gives me shivers and makes me cry. It's about as sacred as American music gets. I hope we can all overcome this nightmare if you're in America.
As a queer autistic guy I am super scared but Mahalia and Ellington gives me comfort and great relief.
